Abstract

This study investigates the impact of 30-minute aerobic exercise before iftar on the mood states of university students during Ramadan. Fasting during Ramadan poses physiological and psychological challenges, including fatigue, irritability, and decreased mood. While previous studies have explored the negative impacts of fasting on mood, limited research has focused on the potential benefits of aerobic exercise in alleviating these effects. A total of 21 male university students aged 18-23 (mean age = 19.0 years), with a mean body weight of 57 ± 7.39 kg and a mean height of 163.76 ± 7.45 cm, participated in this study. They engaged in moderate-intensity jogging (60-70% of their maximum heart rate) for 30 minutes, three times per week, during Ramadan. The Profile of Mood States (POMS) questionnaire was used to measure mood changes across six subscales: tension, anger, fatigue, depression, vigor, and concentration. The Shapiro-Wilk test confirmed normality of the data, and One-Way ANOVA was used to assess significant mood changes. The results showed significant reductions in negative mood states such as tension, anger, fatigue, and depression, and a notable increase in vigor. Conditions such as tension, anger, fatigue, and depression, as well as a significant increase in enthusiasm. Not only that, there is an increase in concentration. The findings of this study indicate that doing aerobic exercise before breaking the fast can improve mood and concentration well during the Ramadan fast, so this exercise offers a practical solution to support the mental and physical health of fasting students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the application of behaviourism theory in physical education (PE) learning to improve student discipline in elementary schools. The qualitative research method with a case study approach involved in-depth interviews with three PE teachers from elementary schools in Sumedang. Data were collected through interviews and documentation and then analyzed using triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the research results. The results showed that the application of behaviourism theory, through positive reinforcement such as praise and rewards, as well as negative reinforcement such as educational reprimands, was able to improve student discipline. These strategies include routine activities such as line setting, collective prayer, and warm-ups that help students understand the importance of order. Adaptive approaches, such as tailoring learning methods to students' interests, were also found to be effective in improving discipline. This study concludes that the application of behaviourism theory in PE learning not only improves student discipline but also creates a conducive learning environment. Appropriate behaviour reinforcement strategies can help students develop disciplinary habits and other positive characteristics early on.

Abstract

Diving is a sport that resembles aerial acrobatics above the surface of the water. Diving is usually done from a springboard Diving consists of a jump that starts from a take-off or bounce step, then enters the water. This research aims to find out about beautiful jumping movements when taking off  National Games (PON) for South Kalimantan athletes. This study uses descriptive evaluative research methods. The population in this study was South Kalimantan diving athletes who took part in PON activities totalling 5 people the sample used in this research used the Purposive Sampling method and based on men’s platform were 2 people participating in PON activities. The results of the research show that the beautiful diving skills in taking off in the diving athletes participating in the South Kalimantan National Sports Week fall into the "less" criteria.

Abstract

This literature review examines Indonesian national research published between 2021 and 2024 regarding the biomechanical aspects of the dollyo chagi kick in taekwondo. The review focuses on kinematic and kinetic parameters such as joint angles, peak angular velocity, hip–knee–ankle sequencing, and foot linear velocity, as well as relationships between leg explosive power and kick performance. The analysis indicates consistent findings that optimized movement sequencing and increased lower-limb explosive power improve kick speed and impact. Methodological limitations include small sample sizes and limited use of advanced tools such as 3D motion capture and force plates. Recommendations for future research include longitudinal studies and standardized biomechanical assessment protocols.

Abstract

This research was carried out on advanced fighting athletes with the criteria for POPNAS, POMNAS and Pre-PON athletes in January 2024. This research aimed to produce a hand-and-foot reaction speed test tool for high-level fighting athletes and test norms for hand-and-foot reaction speed tools. The type of research used in this research is development research with research design Research & Development (R&D) from Borg and Gall. This research was carried out in 2 research stages, namely, pre-development, development and application to different groups. The population in this study used fighting athletes with POPNAS SUMUT, POMNAS SUMUT and Pre PON SUMUT degrees. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with small trials of 20 athletes and large group trials of 30 athletes. Furthermore, a small group trial of 20 people showed a figure of 87% according to the criteria very worthy, then a large group trial of 30 athletes showed a figure of 90% by category very worthy. The results of research/feasibility tests carried out by advanced fighting trainer experts, test and measurement experts, and IT experts, show a figure of 96% in the very feasible category, so it can be used. Based on the data obtained, the development of a hand and foot reaction speed test tool in the combat martial arts sport is declared worthy of being developed as a test tool for hand and foot reaction speed in the combat martial arts sport.

Abstract

Interest is one element that plays an important role in making a decision. The data collection method in this study used a survey method with data collection techniques using questionnaires. Questionnaires are divided into two types, namely closed questionnaires and open questionnaires. In this study, the authors chose a closed questionnaire as an instrument for collecting research data. The results of this study were a study of students' interest in playing football, the data was disclosed using a questionnaire consisting of internal factors including interest, attention, and activity, and external factors including family, school, and environment. Data were analyzed using percentage descriptions presented in the form of tables and diagrams using a Likert scale with five alternative answers, namely: strongly agree (SS), agree (S), Doubtful (R), disagree (TS), and Strongly disagree (STS). The results of this study reveal what things are indicators of student interest in playing football, internal factors, namely the first: An indicator of interest in which students' interest in playing football if measured from a Likert scale, the most chosen is (SS ). and the lowest is (STS) with a percentage of 9%. Furthermore, external or external factors, namely: the highest family indicator (S) with a percentage of 29% and the lowest (STS) 7%, the most chosen school indicator (S) with a percentage of 35%, and the lowest is ( STS) 7%, the most chosen Environmental Indicator is (S) with a percentage of 31% and the lowest (STS) 10%.

Abstract

Stretching is the basis of the exercise process, exercising without stretching can trigger several health problems in the body. In sports learning, statistical stretching can increase the feeling of dread before exercise, but it seems monotonous and boring compared to dynamic stretching. This study aims to apply a variety of statistical stretching movements and test their effectiveness. The method used in this research is experimental research using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques were carried out using several research instruments including observation sheets, pretest posttest questionnaires, and fitness test assessments. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques were carried out using the T-test and the Komologrow-Smirnov test. The results of the study showed an increase after treatment of almost 2.275% compared to before treatment. Apart from that, if tested using the T-test, it is known that the significance results show a value of 0.0008 which is smaller than the normality rule of 0.05 so Ho can be rejected and Ha is accepted so it can be concluded that this research on the application of variations in statistical stretching movements is very effective in Sport Education Learning or known as PJOK.
