FOKUS AND SCOPE Jurnal Sultra Elementary School focuses on publishing research findings, theoretical studies, and innovative developments in the field of Elementary Education through a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach. The journal aims to broaden academic perspectives and enhance educational practices by integrating various disciplines relevant to the challenges of 21st-century learning. The scope of this journal includes, but is not limited to, the following topics: Innovative learning strategies in elementary education; Literacy and numeracy development to foster critical thinking skills; Character education and the formation of Pancasila student profiles; The use of media and digital technology in teaching and learning; Assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes; Curriculum design and teacher professionalism in elementary schools; Inclusive education and differentiated instruction; Integration of education with psychology, sociology, arts, health, and environmental studies; Social and civic education, including democracy education, youth voter participation, children’s political literacy, and the early development of civic awareness and social responsibility. Abstract

Abstract: This research  aimed to determine the Correlation of (1) the personality to storytelling ability, (2) self-concept to storytelling ability, (3) personality and self-concept together to storytelling ability. This research was conducted in TK B Islam Kemaraya, TK B Mekar Indah Kendari and TK B Aisyiyah Kendari. The data analysis techniqueus is the multiple correlation analysis. The results showed that there is a correlation of (1) the personality to storytelling ability, (2) self-concept to storytelling ability, (3) personality and self-concept together to storytelling ability.This implies the storytelling ability can be improved by enhancing personality and  self-concept.Keyword: personality, self-concept, Storytelling  ability

Abstract

Abstract: Pedagogical Competence and Readiness of Primary School Teachers in Implementation of 2013 Curriculum, this study aims to analyze (1) elementary teacher pedagogic competencies in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum; (2) readiness of elementary school teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum; (3) readiness of facilities and infrastructure to support learning; (4) 2013 learning planning curriculum developed by elementary school teachers; (5) implementation of 2013 curriculum learning by elementary teachers; and (6) 2013 curriculum level by elementary school teachers. This type of research is descriptive research. The type of data used in this study is quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The sample of this study was class I and IV teachers who studied 40 teachers. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The instruments used were written tests, questionnaires, observation sheets and documentation. The results of the study show that (1) pedagogical competencies are based on test results with an average value of 56.25 according to sufficient categories; (2) teacher competence based on teacher questionnaires with an average score of 73.48 in good categories; (3) teacher preparedness based on a questionnaire with an average value of 62.85 included in the sufficient category; (4) readiness of learning facilities and infrastructure according to the observation guidelines with an average value of 79.3 in the good category; (5) learning plan based on learning outcomes with an average score of 73.42 in good categories; and (6) implementation of learning based on observation regulations with an average value of 69.57 in accordance with sufficient categories; 7) The value of the questionnaire based on the teacher with an average score of 63.75 is in the sufficient category.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to increase children’s creativity in fine arts material through the use of montage technique at TK Putri Ananda, increase teacher’s instructional effectiveness in teaching fine arts material through the use of montage technique at TK Putri Ananda, and to increase children’s learning activities in fine arts material through the use of montage technique at TK Putri Ananda.Results of the study showed that, after conducting treatments in two cycles with four meetings to remedy learning, it was found that the use of montage technique could increase the children’s creativity, as indicated by results of evaluation using an assessment guideline (BSB + BSH), which was 68.75% in cycle I and 87.5 in cycle II. These results suggested that the children’s creativity at TK Putri Ananda has increased as a result of using montage technique in the teaching of fine arts material. The study was concluded after cycle II since the minimum target of learning completeness set by the school, which was 85%, had been met. In terms of the learning completeness, the implementation of lesson scenario by the teacher reached 90%, which meant that it had been well done. Finally, the children’s activities in their learning of montage successfully increased to 87.5%. Keywords: Creativity, Fine Arts, Montage

Abstract

The Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Indonesia has experienced major change due to government policy in the last ten years. The aim of this paper is to explore and examine the implications of the policy for the Early Childhood teachers using Foucault’s concepts as important guides for this discussion. There are three major changes that indicate the reform of ECE, (1) the need of improving the early childhood teachers’ qualification; (2) monitoring teacher’s performance; and (3) reflection on teacher’s ethics. These major changes are linked to the concepts of Foucault reveals that normalizing is emphasising to construct and target the teacher’s identities. The second concept is surveillance that is needed to maintain the regulations in every detail school, particularly on teacher’s performance. Lastly, reflection for ethical judgement and concern is essential in order to achieve moral conduct on teaching practice. Throughout this analysis, it shows that it is better if the government can fully identify the difficulty of teachers in order to establish the regulation. More importantly, giving more supports to provide sufficient facilities and programs that can be reached for all teachers is a recommended strategy. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of teaching methods Teams Games Tournament (TGT) and learning methods Talking Stick and critical thinking skills to the learning outcomes of natural sciences. This research was conducted at the Primary School. The study design using analysis of variance 2 lanes (ANOVA). The results of this study were (1) the results of elementary school students learn science learning with the learning method TGT higher than the results of elementary school students learn science learning with the learning method Talking Stick. (2) There is an interaction effect between teaching methods and students' critical thinking skills to the results of elementary school students learn science. (3) The results of elementary school students learn science which have high critical thinking skills are learned by the learning method TGT has a higher influence than students learning with the learning method Talking Stick. (4) The results of elementary school students learn science that has the ability to think critically low learning TGT learning methods that have lesser influence than the students learning with the learning method Talking StickKeywords: Teams Games Tournament, Talking Stick, Critical Thinking.

Abstract

The development of online business is currently growing rapidly, as seen from the increasing number of people starting online ventures, ranging from product trading to selling digital content. This growth is inseparable from the influence of digital technology, which has changed people’s mindsets and ways of responding to life’s challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic has become a crucial moment that encouraged society to adapt by maintaining their economy through online business. This activity not only benefits entrepreneurs and distributors but also provides convenience for consumers in meeting their needs without leaving home. The decline in employment opportunities and limited mobility have driven people to become more creative and innovative, allowing them to use their time effectively and efficiently. This reality calls for collaboration between society and the government in optimizing digital business opportunities, including in regulatory aspects such as online business taxation. Therefore, synergy between both parties is essential to realize a shared vision of developing a sustainable digital economy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the ability to pronounce common vocabulary among early childhood students at TK Putri Ananda. This research employed a quantitative descriptive design. The subjects of the study were 34 students, consisting of 18 boys and 16 girls. The instruments used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study revealed that girls had a higher ability to pronounce common vocabulary than boys. Furthermore, two children were found to have not yet been able to pronounce common vocabulary words perfectly. These findings indicate a difference in vocabulary pronunciation ability between male and female early childhood students at TK Putri Ananda.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to improve students’ learning outcomes in Natural Sciences on the topic of magnetic force through the application of the experimental method among grade VI.C students at State Elementary School 6 Kendari. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, characterized by specific actions intended to enhance the learning process in the classroom. The subjects of this research were all 26 students of class VI.C, consisting of 11 boys and 15 girls. The data collected included quantitative data obtained from learning outcome tests and qualitative data obtained through observation sheets. Data collection techniques involved observing the learning process during the implementation of the experimental method and conducting learning outcome tests to measure improvement. The results of the study indicated that the use of the experimental method effectively improved students’ learning activities and learning outcomes in Natural Sciences, particularly on the topic of magnetic force.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of socio-economic status on student achievement at Elementary School 10 Tikep. The sample of this study consisted of 238 students. This research used a survey method. Socio-economic status data were collected using a questionnaire, while learning achievement data were obtained from the results of mid-semester and end-semester tests. The results of the inferential analysis showed that the significance value (sig.) = 0.000 < 0.05, which means that socio-economic status has a positive effect on students’ learning achievement at Elementary School 10 Tikep.

Abstract

Barriers to the Class Teacher System in Improving Teaching Competence in Elementary Schools. The purpose of this study was to explore and find out the barriers to the classroom teacher system in improving the teaching competence of teachers at Public Elementary School Tinete I. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research are 6 teachers and 1 principal at Public Elementary School Tinete I. Research instrument is in the form of interviews and documentation. Qualitative description data analysis techniques. Based on the results of research on the barriers to the classroom teacher system in improving teacher teaching competence at Public Elementary School Tinete I that there is a discrepancy between the professional competence of the teacher and several subject areas and fields of study being taught.
