Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the demonstration method using flashcard media to enhance English vocabulary comprehension among MI/SD (elementary school) students. The research methodology employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research design. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation, focusing on describing the implementation of the demonstration method via flashcard media to improve English vocabulary comprehension among students at MI Nurul Huda. The research participants included class teachers and several students at MI Nurul Huda. Following data collection, an analysis was conducted on the gathered data. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the demonstration method using flashcard media at MI Nurul Huda has been successful. The utilization of this demonstration method through flashcard media has significantly assisted students in mastering English vocabulary. Additionally, this method has also supported teachers in enhancing student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the demonstration method using flashcard media has motivated and boosted students' enthusiasm for learning during the educational process. In the application of the demonstration method using flashcard media for English language learning at MI Nurul Huda, several challenges were identified. These challenges include time limitations affecting the delivery of material to students and a lack of reading interest among students. Another significant challenge is the students' awareness in applying the learned vocabulary. Despite the challenges, the implementation of the demonstration method using flashcard media has provided a positive impact on the English vocabulary comprehension of students at MI Nurul Huda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah terhadap kesantunan berbahasa siswa SD melalui kajian terhadap artikel-artikel ilmiah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu systematic literature review (SLR). Teknik pengumpulan data mengacu pada metode PRISMA dengan basis data yang digunakan, yakni google scholar, open knowledge maps, dan publish or perish (Scopus). Penelitian ini menggunakan artikel 5 tahun terakhir, mulai dari tahun 2020 sampai 2024. Dari keseluruhan 59 artikel, 16 artikel yang relevan sehingga digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Teknik analisis data berupa deskriptif kualitatif. Terdapat tiga indikator yang diteliti, yaitu konsep kesantunan berbahasa, pengaruh lingkungan keluarga, dan pengaruh lingkungan sekolah terhadap kesantunan berbahasa siswa SD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penurunan kesantunan berbahasa pada siswa sekolah dasar menjadi perhatian serius. Lingkungan sekitar, terutama keluarga dan sekolah, memiliki peran krusial dalam membentuk kebiasaan berbahasa anak. Di rumah, model bahasa orang tua dan interaksi keluarga sangat memengaruhi cara anak berkomunikasi. Sementara itu, di sekolah, guru sebagai model dan suasana belajar yang kondusif sangat penting. Faktor lain seperti pengaruh teman sebaya, media sosial, dan kurangnya pemahaman nilai-nilai moral juga turut berkontribusi. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan upaya bersama dari semua pihak, mulai dari keluarga, sekolah, hingga masyarakat, dengan fokus pada penanaman nilai-nilai kesantunan sejak dini dan menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung perkembangan bahasa yang baik.

Abstract

Pembelajaran abad 21 merupakan pembelajaran yang harus disiapkan untuk peserta didik generasi abad 21 agar mampu mengikuti arus perkembangan zaman. Pembelajaran abad 21 memerlukan keterampilan-keterampilan yang mengacu pada konteks kehidupan mengenai suatu masalah, peristiwa, atau kejadian. Keterampilan-keterampilan yang diperlukan ini terdapat pada kecakapan 6C. Istilah 6C terdiri dari Critical Thinking (berpikir kritis), Creativity (kreatif), Collaboration (kolaborasi), Communication (komunikasi), Character (karakter), dan Citizenship (kewarganegaraan). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peranan kecakapan 6C dalam pembelajaran abad 21 untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur (library research). Teknik penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Penelusuran artikel penelitian yang dipublikasikan di internet melalui Google Scholar dengan batas waktu penerbitan maksimal 10 tahun (2015-2024). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran abad 21 dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, pembelajaran berbasis proyek, pendidikan karakter, maupun pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Dengan menggunakan metode atau pendekatan tersebut, kecakapan 6C berperan untuk mempersiapkan siswa sekolah dasar dalam menghadapi segala tuntutan dan permasalahan abad 21 sehingga siswa dapat mengembangkan potensinya di dunia kerja dan masyarakat pada masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of implementing the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative model in teaching science subjects pertaining to heat materials and object forms. Additionally, it seeks to assess the level of student engagement during the implementation of the TPS cooperative model in these science subjects. Lastly, it aims to examine the impact of the TPS cooperative model on student activity in science subjects related to heat materials and object forms. This study utilises an ex post facto research methodology, which is a quantitative approach. A commendable investigation carried out by students in the VA class. The study was carried out at MI Miftahul Huda 2 Palangka Raya. The data collection process utilises questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation. Applying normality and hypothesis testing for the purpose of data analysis. (1) The use of the TPS collaborative model in the science subject of heat material and the shape of things resulted in an average score of 59.80%, which falls within the good range. The students' involvement in applying the TPS cooperative model in the science subject of heat material and the form of objects achieved an average of 65.91% in the exceptional category. The precondition test (3) investigates the influence of the cooperative model of the TPS type on student involvement in science courses, particularly in relation to thermal materials and object forms. A hypothesis test was conducted using a two-tailed significance threshold. Applying the TPS cooperative model to students' activities in science disciplines, notably heat matter and object shape, demonstrates a strong correlation with a Significance value of 0.001, which is below the threshold of 0.05.

Abstract

The current era of government and community attention refers to the increasing population of children with special needs in Indonesia, thus encouraging the implementation of inclusive education in all educational institutions. The purpose of this research is to describe whether inclusive education strategies can overcome learning barriers in students with special needs at SDN Madyopuro 4. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods and data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the application of inclusive education strategies at SDN Madyopuro 4 in overcoming learning barriers for students with special needs, especially students with learning disabilities (slow learners) is very appropriate, such as curriculum suitability, the use of varied teaching methods and strategies to suit the needs of each student, and the active role of both class teachers and Special Assistance Teachers (GPK) can have a positive impact on students with learning disabilities. Overall, it can be concluded that the importance of collaboration of all parties in building inclusive education according to the expected goals so as to provide sustainable efforts in improving the quality of inclusive education to support effective learning for each student. Keywords: Inclusive Education, Learning Disabilities, Children with Special Needs

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis potensi aplikasi "Bumi Kita dalam Tata Surya" sebagai media pembelajaran digital dalam menciptakan pengalaman joyful learning pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas 6 SD. Aplikasi ini menggunakan visualisasi 3D, simulasi interaktif, dan permainan edukatif untuk menyampaikan konsep abstrak seperti tata surya secara menyenangkan dan menarik. Metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mengevaluasi fitur-fitur aplikasi dan dampaknya terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa melalui pendekatan interaktif, tetapi juga memotivasi mereka untuk belajar lebih aktif. Fitur seperti simulasi 3D memungkinkan siswa memvisualisasikan konsep dengan lebih konkret, sedangkan permainan berbasis tantangan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bebas tekanan. Penerapan aplikasi ini mendukung terciptanya pembelajaran yang lebih dinamis, mengurangi kejenuhan belajar, dan meningkatkan keterampilan sosial serta berpikir kritis siswa. Kesimpulannya, aplikasi "Bumi Kita dalam Tata Surya" memiliki potensi besar untuk mengubah paradigma pembelajaran konvensional menjadi lebih inovatif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan generasi digital. Penggunaannya di sekolah dasar dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sekaligus memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Genre-Based Approach (GBA) in teaching English to 3rd and 4th graders in Phase B of the Merdeka Curriculum at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang. The research aims to identify the genres used in textbooks and evaluate their contribution to students' comprehension. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, collecting data through classroom observation and textbook analysis. The findings reveal that descriptive, narrative, and procedural genres effectively enhance students' understanding of the material. Visual media, such as images and short videos, play a significant role in simplifying abstract concepts and increasing student engagement. Engagement levels reached 85% in the 4th grade, with comprehension rates up to 80%. However, challenges such as limited teaching time and varying student abilities were addressed through interactive, visual-based strategies. This study highlights the relevance of GBA in supporting students' literacy and provides recommendations to further enhance its application with more innovative, media-supported approaches aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

For primary school pupils, reading and writing skills are essential, but there are still obstacles in the way of their development. To improve these abilities, this study assesses how well the interactive and captivating Beringin Aksara program works. The study included a control group that received regular teaching and an experimental group that participated in the program using a pre-post experimental design. The experimental group's mean score on the pre-test was 65 (median 68), while the control group's mean score was 62 (median 64). Post-test results showed that the experimental group had significantly improved, with a mean score of 78 (median 80) compared to 64 (median 66) for the control group. A significant difference between the groups was found by a t-test analysis (t = 5.67, p < 0.001), indicating the impact of the program.

Abstract

This research is aimed at improving the ability to solve stories through the application of cooperative model of the NHT type in students of grade V SD State Sindet. The research is Class Action Research (PTK) with the research model Kemmis and Taggart. The subjects of this study were in the state of Sindet's fifth grade from April until August 2024. This class action research is carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used are observations, surveys, documentation, and written tests. The results of the research show that the application of cooperative models like NHT can improve the ability to solve stories. This can be seen in the first cycle 37.5% of students obtain a score above KKM and in the second cycle 93.75% of students get a score over KKM. Students' learning activity from an average of 72.5 in the 2nd cycle has increased to 75.9. Implementation of class actions has reached the criteria of success in this Study, which is 93,75% students can complete a story with a rating above KKK. This increase is due to the application of the cooperative model of the NHT type.

Abstract

In this era of disruption, recilience of numeracy plays a role as one of the skills used to compete in the global world. The urgency of resilience is as a mental guideline to fight in various challenges. Numerical resilience also plays a role as a way for teachers to adapt to various very rapid rates of change. This study aims to analyze the numeracy resilience profile of prospective elementary school teacher education teachers in Yogyakarta. The method used is quantitative descriptive with data collection through tests, observations, and interviews with 159 students. Data analysis uses statistical descriptive to describe the condition of numeracy resilience, including perseverance, self-confidence, ability to socialize, self-motivation, use of ICT, and creativity in producing innovative solutions. The results of the study indicate that the level of numeracy resilience of prospective teachers is still limited, with an average score indicating mental resilience that needs to be improved. Students tend to be less active in socializing and dialogue and building motivation from failure. The use of ICT and various learning resources is also still limited. In addition, the ideas and innovative solutions produced by prospective teachers are still lacking, indicating the need to strengthen creativity and problem-solving skills. These findings indicate the need for more intensive educational interventions to prepare prospective teachers to face the challenges of 21st century education. Efforts needed include in-depth training on the use of ICT, improving social skills, and strengthening critical and creative thinking skills in designing numeracy learning in elementary schools.
