Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of an Islamic-based group counseling model that integrates humanistic and cognitive-behavioral approaches to help students at SMKN 4 Kepahiang manage emotions, understand self-potential, and improve behavior. The research employed a qualitative method with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and focus group discussions (FGDs). The findings indicate that this counseling model significantly contributes to students' psychological, emotional, and spiritual development. The humanistic approach fosters an empathetic and open counseling environment, while the Islamic cognitive-behavioral approach aids students in transforming negative thought patterns into positive ones, grounded in Islamic values such as patience (sabr), trust in God (tawakkul), and self-reflection (muhasabah). Group counseling also enhances student solidarity, motivation, and self-confidence. This model is recommended as both a preventive and curative strategy for addressing students’ psychosocial issues in vocational education settings

Abstract

This study explores the orchestration of transformational leadership by school principals in integrating leadership vision with daily operational practices to support school accreditation preparation, focusing on the implementation of Bass's four components of transformational leadership and the transformation of school culture towards continuous learning. Using a qualitative case study approach at SMP Lubbul Labib, Probolinggo, East Java, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 7 informants, 3-month participant observation, and document studies, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model with member checking validation. The findings reveal that the principal successfully integrated transformational leadership vision into operational practices through a systematic approach, where the implementation of four transformational leadership components (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration) proved effective in transforming school culture from conventional to continuous learning culture that positions accreditation as a development opportunity rather than an administrative burden. Theoretically, this study strengthens the argument that transformational leadership is a multidimensional construct requiring contextual implementation in educational organizations, while practically introducing the concept of "transformational leadership orchestration" that provides concrete mechanisms to bridge the gap between leadership vision and operational practices, positioning accreditation as a catalyst for sustainable organizational development.

Abstract

This research focuses its study on the gap in the quality of  education in elementary schools located in mountainous areas with medium accreditation, by taking a field study at SDN 2 Kalisari. The main focus of this research is to identify factors that cause inequality in the quality of education, particularly those related to access to technology, student achievement and participation, and parental and community involvement. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study type, where data is collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation from the principal, teachers, and students. The results of the study show that limited digital facilities and internet networks, weak student literacy skills, and minimal support from the family and community environment are the main obstacles in realizing quality education. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of contextual and equitable policy interventions, as well as the need for collaboration between schools, government, and communities to address the gap in education quality in remote areas.

Abstract

The transformation of Islamic education in the era of disruption demands a leadership approach that is not only visionary but also rooted in spiritual and ethical values. This article provides an in-depth examination of the Islamic transformational leadership model, which integrates prophetic values, principles of adaptation and innovation, as well as collaborative and communicative practices in response to institutional challenges faced by madrasahs and Islamic higher education institutions. Through a systematic literature review and thematic synthesis of various academic sources, it is found that transformative Islamic leadership can promote the improvement of educational quality by shaping an inclusive, ethical, and maslahat-oriented learning ecosystem. Nevertheless, the implementation of this model faces cultural, structural, and normative resistance, requiring policy adjustments, leadership training based on prophetic values, and the strengthening of participatory governance. This article affirms that Islamic transformational leadership is not merely a normative concept, but a strategic praxis that can reinforce the role of Islamic education as a catalyst for equitable and sustainable social change.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of character education for early childhood at RA Raudlatul Kholafiyah Jangkang, Tiris District, Probolinggo Regency, and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. Character education in early childhood is essential for shaping children’s moral, spiritual, and social development. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, students, and parents, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The results show that character values are integrated through routine, thematic, and daily habituation activities focusing on honesty, discipline, responsibility, and helpfulness. The main methods include habituation, exemplary modeling, storytelling, positive reinforcement, and religious activities. Supporting factors consist of strong leadership, parental involvement, a conducive school environment, and the community’s cooperative culture. Meanwhile, obstacles include differences in parenting styles, limited learning media, uneven teacher training, and restricted learning time. Overall, character education at RA Raudlatul Kholafiyah has been implemented effectively, though stronger collaboration between school and family is needed to sustain the internalization of character values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning resources in science education at SDI Nurul Hidayah. The research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and direct observations. The results show that teachers at SDI Nurul Hidayah utilize various types of learning resources, including place-based learning resources, material-based learning resources, people-based learning resources, book-based learning resources, and event-based learning resources. Based on the observations, each type of learning resource has its own advantages and challenges. For instance, place-based learning resources such as the school yard and garden are often limited by weather conditions, time constraints, and insufficient logistics. Material-based learning resources, such as teaching aids, models, and natural objects, face limitations in terms of quantity and availability. The findings indicate that in order to achieve the optimal learning outcomes in science education, teachers need to manage the learning process effectively and engagingly. Therefore, it can be concluded that proper science education supports the teaching and learning process in elementary schools, although optimizing resources, increasing the number and availability of teaching aids, and improving teachers' skills are areas that still require enhancement

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on the world of education today, particularly for Islamic Education (PAI) students in their learning processes. This study aims to explore how the utilisation of AI can support the learning activities of PAI students based on digital literacy. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a library research design. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The findings show that AI holds great potential, as it can personalise learning, provide interactive and engaging learning media, and contribute to the development of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. The integration of AI into each PAI course presents opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of learning, tailored to the individual needs of students. Nevertheless, challenges such as limited infrastructure in remote areas, low levels of digital literacy, ethical concerns, and dependence on AI technology remain obstacles that need to be addressed. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen students’ digital literacy and ethical use of technology, grounded in Islamic principles, so that AI can function as an effective tool to support learning in each course. This serves as a strategy to maximise the use of AI technology in the PAI education process

Abstract

This study aims to examine parental involvement in fostering Islamic character development among students at SDN Tlogosari 1, as well as the factors influencing it. The research employed a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the level of parental involvement is significantly influenced by three main factors: educational background, occupational workload, and understanding of the importance of Islamic character education. Parents with higher educational backgrounds tend to be more active in accompanying their children and participating in school activities, while those with longer working hours rely more heavily on the school’s role in character formation. Furthermore, a strong understanding of the importance of Islamic values encourages greater synergy between families and schools. In conclusion, the success of Islamic character education requires close collaboration between schools and parents to ensure that Islamic values are consistently and sustainably instilled in students.

Abstract

The era of disruption, characterized by rapid technological development and shifts in socio-cultural patterns, requires Islamic educational institutions to reassess and adjust their management strategies to maintain relevance. This library research adopts a qualitative approach to analyze how Islamic education management can effectively respond to disruptive changes, with a particular focus on Kediri, a region known for its strong pesantren and madrasah traditions. The findings indicate persistent challenges, including limited digital integration, organizational resistance to change, and weak strategic leadership. Nevertheless, emerging initiatives such as digital-based learning, participatory governance, and value-driven innovation demonstrate promising adaptive potential. This study proposes a strategic repositioning framework rooted in Islamic principles such as amanah (trust), musyawarah (deliberation), and ihsan (excellence), integrated with contemporary management concepts. The model emphasizes three key dimensions: strengthening fundamental Islamic values, implementing adaptive technology-based management, and building external collaboration with educational, industrial, and digital communities. The integrative-adaptive approach positions Islamic educational institutions not only as preservers of tradition but also as dynamic agents of innovation. These findings contribute theoretically to the discourse on Islamic education management and provide practical insights for institutional leaders in pursuing sustainable transformation amidst global educational disruption
