Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of gadget use on the social interaction skills of early childhood students at TK PGRI Melati Indah. The background of this research is based on the increasing use of gadgets among children without adequate supervision, which has an impact on their social development. This study employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation involving 15 children who showed signs of gadget addiction. The results of the study indicate that uncontrolled gadget use can hinder children’s ability to interact with peers, such as being reluctant to talk, preferring solitude, and exhibiting emotional instability. The main contributing factors are the lack of parental supervision and limited social activities at home. Therefore, it is necessary to impose time limits on gadget use and encourage the active role of parents and teachers in guiding and stimulating children’s social interactions.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the fine motor development of early childhood through finger painting activities at SPS “Tsamrotul Jannah.” The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 15 children aged 4–5 years Data were collected through observation sheets, visual documentation, and field notes, then analyzed descriptively using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed a significant improvement in children’s fine motor skills, such as grasping, pinching, arranging small objects, drawing patterns, and controlling finger pressure. The average indicator achievement increased from 50% in the first cycle to 80% in the second cycle. The finger painting activity proved effective in stimulating fine motor skills while creating a fun and engaging learning environment. Therefore, finger painting can be used as a creative and practical learning method in early childhood development.

Abstract

Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory explains that an individual's behavior, including in the learning process, is influenced by the interaction between the id, ego, and superego. Conflicts between instinctual drives and social norms in the context of learning tasks often lead to anxiety, stress, and procrastination. This study aims to explore how these psychoanalytic dynamics affect students' learning processes. The research method involves qualitative analysis of case studies and interviews with students in educational settings. The findings reveal that the ego plays a crucial role in managing emotional pressures, enabling students to overcome learning barriers more adaptively. In conclusion, applying psychoanalytic theory in education provides a deeper understanding of the psychological barriers students face, leading to a more holistic approach to learning that integrates both cognitive and emotional aspects. Abstract

This study aimed to improve the gross motor skills of early childhood learners at RA Al-Hidayah through the use of traditional games as an active and developmentally appropriate learning approach. Conducted using a two cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the study involved 15 children aged 5–6 years. Data were obtained through observation, performance tests, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. Results showed a substantial increase in gross motor performance. Initially, only 20% of the children achieved the “good” category, while 46.7% were in the “poor” category. After Cycle I, the “good” category rose to 46.7%, and in Cycle II, following improvements in instructions, game variations, and motivation, mastery reached 80%, with no children remaining in the “poor” category. The study concludes that traditional games such as engklek, jump rope, and gobak sodor are effective in enhancing balance, agility, coordination, and gross motor strength. Additionally, these games support active, participatory learning and contribute to the preservation of local cultural heritage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of the final semester evaluation items for the Arabic language subject of fifth-grade students at Thoriqul Huda Islamic Elementary School (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) in Wagir. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method with documentation techniques as the data collection tool, which included the test items, answer keys, and student responses. The data were analyzed using "Anates" software to measure reliability, difficulty level, discrimination power, and distractor quality. The results showed that the test instrument had a high reliability level with a coefficient of 0.78, and most of the questions were at a moderate difficulty level. There were 22 items with good to excellent discrimination power, 14 items with poor discrimination, and 2 items with negative discrimination power. Regarding distractor quality, the analysis indicated that some answer choices still need improvement. Based on the analysis, 19 items can be reused in future tests, while 21 items require revision and further development. The study recommends that the item development team pay more attention to question quality standards to ensure effective measurement of students' learning achievements.

Abstract

Human beings are created with an innate disposition (fitrah), a pure and upright potential instilled by Allah from the moment of creation. This study aims to explore the concept of human fitrah in the Qur’an through both analytical (tafsir tahlili) and thematic (tafsir maudhu’i) approaches, and to examine its implications for the design and direction of Islamic education in the contemporary era. Using a literature review method, this research analyzes relevant Qur'anic verses and draws upon classical and contemporary tafsir sources. The findings reveal that human fitrah is not merely a theological concept but serves as an ontological foundation for the development of a holistic educational system. The novelty of this study lies in its conceptual integration of Qur’anic exegesis into educational practice, particularly in designing curricula, pedagogical methods, and learning environments that preserve and nurture the child’s innate disposition from an early age. Through this approach, Islamic education can be oriented toward realizing the values of din al-Islam as al-Din al-Haqq, al-Din al-Qayyim, and al-Din al-Hanif, with amar ma’ruf nahi munkar as the core axis of character development.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the cognitive abilities of early childhood learners in recognizing numbers 1–10 through the use of natural materials, specifically seeds, as instructional media. The research subjects consisted of 15 children in Group A at RA Darul Ulum Rejing, Tiris District, Probolinggo Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology conducted in two cycles, each comprising the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that the use of seed-based media significantly improved the children’s ability to recognize numbers. In the first cycle, 40% of the children were at the “beginning to develop” stage, while 13.3% had not yet developed adequately. After revisions and improvements were implemented in the second cycle, 73.3% of the children successfully achieved the expected indicators, with only 6.7% remaining at the “not yet developing” stage. These results demonstrate that seed-based natural materials are highly effective as concrete, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning tools for enhancing young children’s cognitive understanding of numerical concepts.

Abstract

This research focuses on efforts to reconstruct Islamic education through an interdisciplinary approach in response to the complex challenges of the 21st century. The study was conducted at Ma'had Aly Nurul Jadid Probolinggo, a representative institution seeking to integrate traditional Islamic values ​​with contemporary scientific approaches. Using qualitative methods with a single case study design, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies with five key informants: leaders, teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which encompasses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results indicate that the interdisciplinary strategy at Ma'had Aly Nurul Jadid stems from a transformative leadership awareness, cross-disciplinary teacher collaboration, and a shift in the students' learning culture to become more reflective and contextual. The curriculum was developed through a thematic approach that connects Islamic values ​​with everyday life issues. The implications of this research suggest that Islamic education can be renewed without losing its identity by creating a space for epistemological integration rooted in tradition and connected to social reality. These findings reinforce the importance of an interdisciplinary approach as a substantive strategy in the renewal of Islamic education in the modern era.

Abstract

This study focuses on the effectiveness of YouTube advertisements in increasing new student enrollment at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid. The aim of this research is to examine the extent to which digital video content on the YouTube platform influences public perception, enrollment decisions, and the role of media in shaping the image of Islamic educational institutions. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with new students, parents, the new student admissions team (PSB), and the pesantren’s media division, as well as internal documentation of the registration process. The results show that YouTube advertisements have a significant impact on shaping positive public perceptions of Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid. Visual narratives, alumni testimonials, and authentic depictions of student life successfully attract the attention of prospective students and their parents, leading to an annual increase in enrollment numbers. Videos that are narratively designed and equipped with registration links have proven effective in guiding audiences from interest to concrete action. The implications of this study suggest that Islamic boarding schools need to adopt strategic digital marketing approaches to expand their outreach and strengthen institutional branding.

Abstract

This study focuses on curriculum innovation through the integration of religious knowledge and general science at MTs Negeri 1 Probolinggo. The aim is to understand the strategies and implementation of this integration in the learning process, as well as to assess its impact on strengthening students’ religious character and academic competence. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that MTs Negeri 1 Probolinggo has successfully developed an integrative curriculum model by embedding Islamic values into general subjects and presenting religious studies in a contextual manner related to scientific and social issues. This integration is reflected in lesson planning, the use of thematic teaching materials, and the implementation of extracurricular activities that support the synergy between the two fields of knowledge. The implications of this innovation are not only the enhancement of students’ holistic understanding but also the formation of balanced character development encompassing both spiritual and intellectual aspects. These findings may serve as a reference for other Islamic schools in designing curricula that are responsive to contemporary challenges without compromising religious values.
