Abstract

This study aims to analyze the configuration of religious authority of Habib and Gus in contemporary Islamic education within the digital sphere, examining how nasab, pesantren scholarship, and charisma are constructed, reproduced, and contested on social media. The research employs a qualitative approach with an interpretative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Habib, Gus, santri, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and digital congregants; participatory observation of online da'wah activities and documentation study of social media content and digital da'wah archives. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Matthew B. Miles, A. Michael Huberman, and Johnny Saldaña, grounded in the theoretical framework of authority proposed by Max Weber and the theory of symbolic capital developed by Pierre Bourdieu. The findings indicate that the authority of Habib on social media is primarily constructed through nasab as symbolic capital, which gains legitimacy through collective recognition and digital representation. In contrast, the authority of Gus is more dominantly grounded in scholarship and pesantren based sanad, representing the continuity of Islamic intellectual tradition. Furthermore, the study identifies the emergence of digital charisma, formed through communicative performativity, emotional interaction, and technological mediation, thereby reinforcing audience loyalty within virtual communities. Social media functions as a new religious arena that both expands and intensifies symbolic contestation between genealogical legitimacy and scholarly legitimacy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Work Motivation on teachers’ Teaching Performance at SD Integral Luqman Al Hakim Bondowoso. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a simple linear regression design. The study involved a total of 42 teachers as research respondents. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25, encompassing prerequisite assumption tests (normality and linearity) followed by hypothesis testing. The results of the normality test indicated that the data satisfied the assumption of normal distribution, thereby allowing the regression analysis to be performed appropriately. The ANOVA results demonstrated that the regression model was statistically significant (p < 0.05), indicating a meaningful effect of Work Motivation on Teaching Performance. The correlation coefficient (R) of 0.759 reflects a strong and positive relationship between the variables, while the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.576 suggests that 57.6% of the variance in Teaching Performance can be explained by Work Motivation, with the remaining variance attributable to other factors beyond the scope of the research model.

Abstract

This study aims to identify, analyze, and synthesize empirical findings concerning the influence of gadget use on the moral development of children and adolescents, based on reputable Scopus-indexed studies published within the past decade. The method employed is a systematic literature review utilizing the PRISMA approach, encompassing the selection of relevant empirical studies quantitative, qualitative, and longitudinal that examine variables related to gadget use, psychological processes such as empathy, self-regulation, and moral disengagement, as well as prosocial and antisocial behaviors. The results of the synthesis indicate that the impact of gadget use is neither direct nor linear; rather, it is moderated by factors such as duration of use, type of content consumed, digital literacy, parenting style, and the broader social environment. Moderate use accompanied by dialogic parental mediation has the potential to strengthen digital ethical literacy and promote prosocial behavior. Conversely, excessive use without supervision and exposure to negative content are associated with decreased empathy, heightened moral disengagement, and a greater propensity toward antisocial behavior.

Abstract

The findings of this study indicate that the crisis of contemporary Islamic education is fundamentally rooted in the loss of adab, which results in confusion of knowledge and value disorientation. According to Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, the erosion of adab undermines the proper recognition and placement of knowledge within its hierarchical order, thereby weakening the ethical and spiritual foundations of education. The concept of  ta’dib proposed by Al-Attas proves to be highly relevant as an educational paradigm that holistically integrates intellectual, spiritual, and moral dimensions. It emphasizes not only the acquisition of knowledge but also the cultivation of moral consciousness and the embodiment of ethical conduct, ensuring the harmonious integration of faith, reason, and action. Moreover, the idea of the Islamization of knowledge serves as a crucial epistemological foundation in responding to secularization and the dominance of the Western worldview within modern educational systems. By affirming that knowledge is shaped by particular metaphysical and cultural assumptions, Al-Attas calls for a critical reconstruction of educational frameworks grounded in the Islamic worldview, thereby safeguarding education from subtle forms of secularization and value fragmentation.

Abstract

The This study aims to determine the relationship between materialistic views and the level of belief in revelation in grades V–VI of SDN 5 Teluk Nangka. This topic was chosen because the development of elementary school-aged children's mindsets is starting to be influenced by the social environment, media, and technological advances that have the potential to shape a materialistic orientation and influence their understanding of religious teachings, especially the concept of revelation as a source of divine truth. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research sample was fifth and sixth grade students determined through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a closed questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using the Pearson correlation test to determine the strength and direction of the relationship between variables. The results of the study showed a significant negative relationship between materialistic views and the level of belief in revelation, where students who have a higher materialistic tendency tend to show a lower level of belief in revelation. This finding suggests that a value orientation that emphasizes material aspects can influence the formation of religious attitudes in elementary school-aged children. Therefore, the results of this study are important as a basis for schools and parents in strengthening character education and spiritual values to balance the intellectual and moral development of students.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a Divine Attachment model as a foundation for tawhid-based character education through a literature analysis of the Prophet’s hadith, “Ihfazhillaha yahfazhka” Guard Allah, and Allah will guard you. This research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review method of scholarly articles published discussing character education, attachment theory, the psychology of religiosity, and the internalization of tawhid in Islamic education. The findings indicate that the hadith contains theological psychological principles concerning the affective and cognitive relationship between human beings and Allah, which cultivate God consciousness as the foundation of character. The Divine Attachment model is formulated through three primary dimensionsn the dimension of tawhid awareness, the dimension of transcendental emotional attachment and the dimension of behavioral. This model integrates Bowlby’s attachment theory with the Islamic concepts of, tawakkal, and taqwa. The implications of this study emphasize that tawhid based character education cannot merely take the form of transmitting normative values; rather, it must construct a secure attachment secure divine attachment that nurtures moral integrity, psychological resilience, and consistency in moral conduct.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic spirituality on teaching professionalism among students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at the Ahmad Dahlan Institute of Probolinggo. The research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design to examine the relationship between Islamic spirituality as the independent variable and teaching professionalism as the dependent variable. The population consists of all students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program. The sampling technique used is probability sampling through the simple random sampling method. Data collection is conducted using a questionnaire developed based on indicators of Islamic spirituality and teaching professionalism, measured using a Likert scale. The collected data are analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression to test the research hypothesis. The results show that Islamic spirituality has a positive and significant influence on students’ teaching professionalism. Students with higher levels of spirituality tend to demonstrate stronger commitment to academic responsibilities, greater awareness of professional ethics, and higher readiness to develop pedagogical competencies. These findings indicate that Islamic spirituality functions not only as a personal religious dimension but also as a moral and motivational foundation in shaping the professionalism of prospective educators. Therefore, strengthening spiritual values in higher education, particularly within the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, is essential to develop professional teachers with integrity and strong Islamic character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of family education contained in Surah Luqman verses 12–19 and to examine its relevance to contemporary educational and psychological theories. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method through thematic analysis of the Qur’anic text, classical and contemporary exegetical works, and academic literature related to family education and moral development. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis to identify the pedagogical structure within Luqman’s counsel to his son. The findings reveal that Surah Luqman verses 12–19 contain a systematic and holistic pedagogical framework for family education that can be mapped into five main pillars a spiritual theological foundation through the inculcation of the values of tawḥid and gratitude, relational education emphasizing respect for parents and proportional obedience, the development of moral awareness and personal responsibility, the habituation of religious practices and the strengthening of emotional regulation through prayer, amr maʿrūf nahy munkar, and patience ṣabr, and the cultivation of social ethics, courtesy, and behavioral moderation. These findings indicate that Luqman’s pedagogy aligns with several contemporary educational theories, including positive psychology, attachment theory, moral development theory, self regulation theory, and social learning theory. Therefore, the educational values embedded in Surah Luqman verses 12–19 demonstrate strong relevance in addressing the challenges of contemporary family education and contribute to the development of an integrative and holistic model of character education.
