Tuban is known as an area that has given birth to many folk arts, where the culture born from the people has a very strong and deep-rooted character. One of the legendary folk arts to this day is Gendruwon Ayon-ayon. Gendruwon Ayon-ayon is a traditional art that is also interspersed with jaranan dance. It is said that Gendruwon Ayon-ayon was brought by a cultural and artistic figure from Blora, Central Java. Gendruwon Ayon-ayon is not a native folk art from Tuban, but in Tuban, Gendruwon Ayon-ayon has experienced acculturation and presentation, Gendruwon Ayon-ayon is now interspersed with Reog. Therefore, it is very important to preserve this folk art so that it does not become extinct in the middle of modernization era through the right communication strategy. The purpose of this study is to determine the Communication Strategy for Preserving Gendruwon Ayon-Ayon Folk Art in Acculturation Based on Local Wisdom in Tuban Regency. In addition, it is also to determine the inhibiting and supporting factors. For key informants, we took Gendruwon Ayon-Ayon art activists because they are considered to be the most knowledgeable about this folk art. Abstract

Primary schools have a central role in the formation of young individuals and set an important foundation for their progress in the educational process. One of the main approaches in the elementary school context is integrated learning. This approach provides students with the opportunity to learn through themes that integrate various scientific disciplines in one learning series. Recent changes in primary school policy in Indonesia have raised concerns regarding teachers' understanding and implementation of these practices. This article outlines the concept and urgency of a deep understanding of integrated learning, which includes its four main strengths: active student involvement, holistic approach, authenticity, and meaningfulness in learning. This also explains the potential of integrated learning as a scientific background for teachers at the elementary school level. Even though education policies are constantly changing, this article emphasizes the importance of maintaining the continuity of integrated learning. Government policy support is key. This article also discusses the management of AI support as a solution to the challenges of implementing integrated learning policies in Indonesia. By utilizing AI, educators can anticipate and optimize the characteristics and advantages of integrated learning so that it is more efficient and impactful.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the acculturation of Islamic values and local culture in the traditional marriage process of the Dayak Ngaju society in Baun Bango village. The approach in this study uses a historiography research type using an oral history approach method. The data collection technique used is the observation technique, namely a method of collecting data systematically through observation and recording of the phenomena being studied. The data analysis technique also uses data reduction, data presentation, and data verification with the triangulation method, and drawing conclusions. The stages of marriage that come from religious teachings are what experience acculturation with local marriage customs. In its implementation, the Muslim community carries out the marriage contract according to Islam and marries according to customary law. First of all, the Muslim community carries out the proposal stage like the Dayak Ngaju tribe's customs after that they carry out the marriage contract at home or at the KUA by fulfilling the requirements and pillars of marriage. Then on the same day or the next day, they carry out the Dayak traditional marriage which is not carried out properly because it involves beliefs such as leaving the procession that smells of rituals which of course violate the provisions of Islam such as the nyaki palas ritual, mamapas and planting sawang trees. Basically, the mixture of Islamic culture and local culture in the implementation of traditional Muslim marriages can be seen during the proposal process, determining the wedding day, working together, the marawei coming to each house to invite, and the wedding party

Abstract

Climate change is a critical global challenge that demands innovative, cross-sectoral solutions. Sustainable entrepreneurship integrates social, environmental, and economic dimensions, fostering long-term positive impacts. However, many business models overlook the strategic potential of local wisdom to enhance sustainability. This study addresses this gap by developing a conceptual framework that incorporates local values into sustainable entrepreneurship, offering a novel approach to climate change mitigation. Using a conceptual methodology based on extensive literature analysis, the framework integrates the Triple Bottom Line (TBL)—People, Planet, Profit—and the Business Model Canvas (BMC) while embedding local wisdom, such as ecological harmony, community-based resource management, and cultural preservation. These elements are mapped onto BMC components like Value Proposition, Revenue Streams, and Key Activities, providing actionable strategies to align business operations with local traditions and global sustainability goals. This framework enhances community resilience and directly supports climate action while promoting sustainability in sectors like agribusiness and tourism. By bridging traditional knowledge systems and modern practices, it offers a practical and scalable solution for advancing global sustainability efforts. Further empirical validation is recommended to assess its feasibility across diverse contexts.

Abstract

Learning genetics courses often faces challenges because the material studied is abstract and complex. A relevant learning model is needed that meets the needs of students to improve their competence in genetics courses. This study aims to identify the needs of students and lecturers through a needs analysis approach as a basis for developing a relevant genetics learning model. The study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and document observations. The results of the analysis showed that students needed learning that was more integrated with the context of everyday life to understand the concept of genetics in depth and needed motivational learning because this course was considered a difficult course. The lecturer explained the need to develop a learning model that provides interactive activities, such as project-based learning, case studies, or other effective strategies to improve student competence. Based on these results, a prototype of a contextual genetics learning model will be developed to meet the needs of students and lecturers teaching the course. These findings are the basis for designing a more relevant and effective genetics learning model. The study provides initial insight into the needs of genetics learning and is the first step in developing an effective learning model according to the context of students. Further research is needed to test and implement the proposed model

Abstract

Millennials, as the largest demographic group in the digital era, show unique preferences in marketplace purchasing behavior. This research aims to identify the factors that influence millennial purchasing decisions on the marketplace platform. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey involving 300 millennial respondents actively shopping online. The results of the analysis show that the factors of ease of access, competitive pricing, customer reviews, and discount promotions play a major role in influencing their preferences. In addition, aspects of user experience, such as intuitive application interface and transaction security, are also important priorities. Millennials tend to be more loyal to marketplaces that offer loyalty programs, such as cashback or reward points, which add value to their purchases. These findings indicate that marketplaces need to focus on developing innovative features that align with the needs of this generation, as well as improving personalization-based marketing strategies to strengthen customer engagement. This research provides insights for e-commerce businesses in designing effective marketing strategies that are oriented towards the needs of the millennial generation, which is the backbone of digital economic growth in Indonesia. Furthermore, this study recommends an in-depth exploration of consumer preferences.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration and innovation of information technology within educational strategies in the digital era, focusing on its impact on student engagement and the challenges encountered during implementation. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Quantitative data were collected from 35 students and 10 faculty members, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 15 students and 5 faculty members. The findings reveal that 80% of respondents use technology in their learning almost daily, and 79% believe that technology is highly effective in enhancing their understanding of the material. Additionally, 83% of respondents feel more engaged when utilizing technology. However, barriers such as limited internet access (45%) and inadequate devices (33%) remain significant challenges. The conclusion of this research emphasizes that, although the integration of technology in education offers numerous benefits, existing challenges must be addressed to maximize the potential of technology in improving educational quality. Recommendations for decision-makers include enhancing technological infrastructure and providing training for educators to optimize the use of technology in the learning process. This study is expected to provide insights for the development of more effective and innovative educational strategies in the digital era.
