Abstract

Academic success in mathematics remains a major issue for many students in higher education. The quality of mathematics education can be raised by implementing self-regulated learning (SRL) and analytical learning (LA). This study aims to determine the effect of applying learning analysis and self-regulated learning in improving students' mathematics performance. In this research, quantitative techniques were applied. An experimental design comprising pre- and post-tests was used to carry out this study. Using stratified random sampling, a sample of 120 Mathematics Education students was chosen for this study. An independent t-test was employed in the data analysis procedure to ascertain the disparity in scores between the experimental and control groups. Pre-test scores and Covariance Analysis (ANCOVA) were used to control for differences in initial abilities between groups. The implementation of LA and SRL had a favourable and significant impact on students' mathematical performance, as demonstrated by the results of multiple linear regression analysis, with a rise of 62.37%. With a correlation of 0.0001, the regression coefficients for the LA variable and the SRL variable are 0.5372 and 0.3618, respectively. Comparing the experimental group to the control group, the former had noticeably better metacognitive abilities, problem-solving capabilities, and concept understanding. These results provide a basis for developing more flexible and adaptive higher-level mathematics learning strategies.

Abstract

Hybrid digital learning has gained prominence as an innovative approach to enhancing student achievement in motor learning courses within physical education (PE) programs. This study explores the effectiveness of combining synchronous and asynchronous learning sessions to improve students development and performance. In traditional PE courses, students often face challenges in mastering information gained due to the limitations of face-to-face instruction and the varying pace at which individuals learn. The hybrid model, which integrates real-time, instructor-led sessions with flexible, self-paced online learning modules, offers a more dynamic and personalized educational experience. Through synchronous sessions, students benefit from live interaction with instructors, enabling immediate feedback and the opportunity to engage in real-time discussions. Asynchronous sessions, on the other hand, provide students with the flexibility to review course materials, and complete assignments at their own pace, reinforcing learning outside the classroom. This dual approach accommodates different learning styles, encourages self-directed learning, and helps students develop cognitive of motor learning. The study examines the impact of this hybrid learning format on student achievement in motor learning courses, focusing on factors such as cognitive development and student engagement. The findings suggest that students who participated in the hybrid model showed significant improvements in motor skill performance and better retention of learned techniques compared to those in traditional, fully in-person courses. Additionally, the hybrid format promoted greater student self-regulation and allowed for individualized learning, making the course more inclusive and accessible. This research highlights the potential of hybrid digital learning to revolutionize motor learning in physical education, providing a flexible, effective, and engaging approach to developing motor skills and enhancing student outcomes in the digital age.

Abstract

Bibliometric analysis has become a powerful tool for mapping research concepts across various fields. However, the application of bibliometrics in education, particularly concerning the use of Google Sites, remains an untapped potential. This study aims to explore trends and research topics related to the utilization of Google Sites in education during the 2016–2024 period. Using the Dimensions database, we collected relevant publications and visualized them using VOSviewer. An in-depth analysis was conducted with a focus on bibliographic pairs of countries, institutions, journals, authors, and frequently used author keywords. From 495 publications that met the criteria, the findings revealed that Indonesia is the country with the most significant contribution to research on Google Sites in education. Additionally, the Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan IPA emerged as the primary publication platform, Rogerson (2017) as the most-cited author, and Yogyakarta State University as the most productive institution. These findings indicate a growing interest in the use of Google Sites in education in Indonesia. However, further research is needed to delve deeper into the impact of using Google Sites on learning processes and student outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of the structured assignment method on the mastery of concepts and mathematical problem-solving skills. The method used is an experimental method with the analysis technique used is Manova One Path. The sample in this study is a sample of 72 students at State Junior High Schools in the city of Tangerang. From the results of the analysis, it was obtained: (1) there was an influence of the structured assignment method on the mastery of the concept and the ability to solve mathematical problems in a multivariate manner as evidenced by the value of sig = 0.000 < 0.05 (2) there was an influence of the structured assignment method on the mastery of mathematical concepts univariate as evidenced by the value of sig = 0.006 < 0.05 (3) there was an influence of the structured assignment method on the ability to solve mathematical problems with It is proven that sig = 0.002 < 0.05. To improve the mastery of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills, teachers should not only use conventional or teacher-centered learning methods but are expected to be able to use learning models that involve students actively learning, including assignment methods that can involve students actively in meaningful learning activities through problem-solving.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of an interactive approach in students' social interactions and its impact on speaking skills in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program (PBSI) at IKIP Bojonegoro. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observations and interviews. The results indicate that the application of the interactive approach creates a dynamic and participative learning environment. During the learning process, students engage in group discussions, role-playing, and other collaborative activities. This not only enhances their speaking skills but also encourages critical thinking and the exchange of ideas. Classroom observations reveal that students are more willing to express their opinions and ask questions, which had previously been a challenge for them. From the interviews, students reported feeling more motivated and confident when speaking in public after participating in these interactive activities. Additionally, the social interactions that occurred during the learning process strengthened relationships among students, creating a more familiar and supportive classroom atmosphere. Thus, the interactive approach proves effective in improving students' speaking skills as well as enhancing the quality of social interactions within the classroom.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the direction in curriculum and mathematics learning model which were implemented in inclusive school. This study used Systematic Literature Review by selecting scientific articles published in 1990 – 2024 and categorizing them based on the curriculum and mathematics learning model. This study implemented PRISMA method. The data was collected using the official sites of Science Direct, Sinta, ResearchGate, and Garuda. The data was filtered using keywords of curriculum and mathematics learning model in inclusive education. Based on 21 national articles and 7 international articles which discussed the curriculum of inclusive school, there were 5 types of curriculum, namely 1) the Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) curriculum that was equaled with differentiated regular class curriculum; 2) the curriculum was equaled with general children’ curriculum; 3) Merdeka Curriculum; 4) modified curriculum; 5) National curriculum which was integrated with spiritual and akhlaqul kharimah education. In addition, the modes used in mathematics learning which were stated in 17 articles lead to 7 learning models, namely 1) differentiated learning model; 2) modified learning model with direct instruction and/or curricular design; 3) thematic approach; 4) scientific approach; 5) providing additional explanation as reinforcement; 6) joining regular students; 7) empirical approach and theoretical perspective. Based on 17 articles, there were 6 articles which discussed about differentiated learning model. Moreover, 11 articles discussed another learning models. It could be concluded that the direction in curriculum of inclusive school was dominant in implementing modified curriculum and differentiated learning model.
