Abstract

In response to changes in government policy regarding fertilizer subsidies, the introduction and training of the LEISA approach were carried out in Sidodadi Village, Maliku District, Pulang Pisau Regency. Sidodadi Village, formerly known as Pangkuh 6B, is an ex-transmigration area where most of the community members are horticultural crop farmers. The activity stages included Socialization, Training, Assistance in technology implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Program Sustainability. After the activities were completed, a questionnaire was distributed to assess farmers' responses and the prospects of the LEISA approach in Sidodadi Village. Measurement results showed that most farmers (56.67%) were aware of the government’s policy changes regarding subsidized fertilizers. Observations revealed that after the LEISA training, there was an increase in the application of various techniques, including producing fertilizer from rice washing water (56.63%), organic fertilizer from household waste (63.33%), fertilizer from husk charcoal (46.67%), fertilizer from livestock urine (13.33%), and the use of self-made fertilizers (13.37%). Although there was a shift in farmers’ perceptions towards the LEISA approach, their dependence on factory-made fertilizers remained quite high. However, despite this dependency, the future of LEISA implementation in Sidodadi Village has good prospects due to increased awareness and application of self-made fertilizers.

Abstract

The improvement of the quality of education for the younger generation is greatly influenced by effective and innovative education. This study aims to analyze the impact of the application of the Discovery Learning model combined with web-based interactive media on students' academic performance in the era of digital learning. The study used a quantitative approach involving 38 tenth-grade students as samples. Data was collected through pre and post-tests of the model and media application, then statistically analyzed. The results showed a significant increase in the average student score from 50.92 (pretest) to 85.52 (posttest). Hypothesis testing showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), confirming that the combination of Discovery Learning and web-based media is effective in improving student academic performance. This model encourages students to be more active, independent, and engaged in the learning process, while web-based media creates an interesting, interactive, and easily accessible learning experience. Therefore, this combination is highly recommended for use in modern education to improve overall educational quality.

Abstract

Online learning collaborative as a form of technological transformation in the world of education in higher education. Providing opportunities for students to obtain the broadest possible knowledge and increasing student competencies as a learning outcome as well as providing opportunities for students to develop competencies by studying outside of higher education through a collaborative, collective approach, utilizing science and technology. This research aims to determine the effectiveness and increase the knowledge and skills of prospective mathematics teachers using a online learning collaborative system. Researchers used quantitative methods with a descriptive quantitative approach. The subjects in this research were 19 prospective mathematics teacher from different universities who studied collaboratively using a learning management system. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression. The research results show that the implementation of online learning collaborative has a significant positive impact on increasing the knowledge and skills of prospective mathematics teacher. Students can solve the problems given, and students are skilled in applying information technology in learning. To support effective online learning collaborative, can use learning object materials in the form of learning videos, material slides, infographic media, live chat discussions and interactive games.

Abstract

Almost every region in Indonesia has its own local wisdom for environmental conservation. These local wisdoms can serve as valuable language material for teaching BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing, or Indonesian for Foreign Speakers). Incorporating local wisdom into BIPA lessons offers many benefits, such as providing authentic learning experiences, enhancing socio-cultural awareness, fostering character development, improving language skills, and promoting tolerance and mutual respect. Local wisdom can be a powerful asset or bargaining chip in engaging with the global community. This research developed flipbooks for BIPA using local wisdom for environmental awareness through a project-based learning approach. Following a research and development (R&D) design, the researchers created 12 flipbooks for BIPA beginner level, each featuring local wisdom related to environmental preservation, such as Subak-Bali, Mentari Bondar-Tapanuli, Paca Goya-Tidore, Buka Egek-Papua, Sasi-Maluku, Kapal Pinisi-Sulawesi, Taman Laut Karimunjawa-Jepara, Merti Code, Wiwitan, Sedekah Bumi, Nyadran, and Kirab Budaya from Java. They integrated the local wisdom in terms of photo, picture, text, and audio-lingual media for speaking, listening, reading, and writing language activities. However, this research only covered three stages of the ADDIE model for developing BIPA flipbooks: analysis, design, and development. The implementation and evaluation stages have not been conducted yet, due to the time constraints of waiting for foreign users in online clicking the flipbooks as well as expert feedback.

Abstract

Along with the rapid development of the digital era, Indonesia needs leaders who are able to adapt and innovate to strengthen its competitiveness on the global stage. Unfortunately, traditional leadership training methods are now considered inadequate to meet the increasingly complex demands. This research focuses on exploring the use of Virtual Reality (VR) technology in leadership training by analyzing literature from various sources to identify the potential, benefits, and challenges that exist in the implementation of VR in this training. Using the library research method, this study examines in depth the literature's views on the effectiveness of VR as a training medium that offers a realistic and immersive simulated environment experience. The results showed that VR can assist trainees in honing critical leadership skills, such as sound decision-making, effective communication, and crisis management, under safe yet realistic conditions. Based on these findings, VR integration is recommended as one of the main approaches in leadership training programs in Indonesia to equip aspiring leaders with relevant skills in the digital era.

Abstract

The Pedada River is one of the 3T areas which is a coastal area located in South Sumatra Province. Its existence on the coast makes this area vulnerable to natural disasters such as tidal floods, and others. This study aims to analyze science learning resources as one of the 3T regions of Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection instruments used are questionnaires for students, interview guidelines for teachers, and analysis of teaching material documents. Based on the results of the needs analysis questionnaire, it shows that students are only facilitated by using the main textbook during classroom learning activities, the lack of use of learning media and other innovations in learning makes students not have great motivation in learning. Class-based learning activities are often constrained by natural conditions and road access from settlements to schools. The results of the interviews showed that teachers did not have the right experience in utilizing the surrounding environment as a potential for learning outside the classroom and still needed support in the provision of varied teaching materials. Thus, it can be concluded that learning resources at Sungai Pedada Elementary School are still very much needed and there is a need for training to improve teacher competence in developing teaching materials that are suitable for the student environment.

Abstract

In modern research in education, learning independence plays a very important role, especially in the digital era where flexibility implies alignment of endurance. Although most universities in Indonesia use online learning, the consequences of this in the form of academic independence are still unknown. This study intended to model learning independence built with online learning and self-regulation in University of PGRI Mpu Sindok students. The study was conducted among 120 students divided into high and low groups using a quasi-experimental design with group randomization. The multiple linear regression analysis result was the model Y = 0.4923 + 0.6745X1 + 0.2289X2, where Y signifies learning independence, X1 signifies the Intuitiveness of using social learning platforms, and X2 signifies self-regulation. Overall, the model provided significant results p < 0.0001 and explained 50.27% of students' learning independence variation. There is an absence in the impact of using X2 self-regulation simultaneously as using X1 self-regulation. This empiricism concentrates on creating experimental strategies that use self-regulation with technological and educational tools in order to increase students' academic independence-validated in line with the digital era.
