Abstract

The construction sector in Indonesia plays a vital role in economic development but is also characterized by high rates of workplace accidents, informality, and job insecurity. These challenges may negatively affect workers’ well-being and job satisfaction, especially in demanding environments such as precast concrete manufacturing. Social support has been recognized as a key psychosocial factor that can improve workplace outcomes, yet little is known about its role in Indonesia’s construction workforce. This study aims to (1) examine the level of perceived social support among precast concrete workers, (2) assess their level of job satisfaction, and (3) analyze the relationship between social support and job satisfaction. A cross-sectional design was employed, involving 180 workers from three precast concrete plants in Java, selected through random sampling. Data were collected using the Indonesian versions of the Job Content Questionnaire (JCQ) and Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire II (COPSOQ II), and analyzed using logistic regression. The results revealed that 76.7% of workers reported low social support, and 72.8% experienced low job satisfaction. Workers with high social support were significantly more likely to report high job satisfaction (OR = 6.985; 95% CI: 3.276–14.895). These findings confirm that social support is a strong predictor of job satisfaction in this population. Strengthening support from supervisors and coworkers may be a strategic intervention to improve worker well-being and retention in Indonesia’s construction industry.

Abstract

Background: Cases of Dysmenorrhea (Menstrual pain) during menstruation, especially in young women, are currently common cases. Several theories state that one of the causes of menstrual disorders is stress levels and consumption behavior. So this study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and fast food consumption behavior with the incidence of dysmenorrhea in young women at SMAN 8 Tana Toraja. Methods: This study uses a quantitative research method with a cross-sectional study. The population in this study were 400 female students of SMAN 8 Tana Toraja with a sample size of 80 female students selected using the stratified random sampling method . Data collection using questionnaires and analyzed with the Chi-Square test . Results: The results of this study indicate that 27.5% of respondents experienced mild stress, 7.2% experienced moderate stress and 66.3 normal, as many as 46.3% of respondents with normal stress levels experienced moderate dysmenorrhea. There are also 88.8% of respondents who consume fast food and only 11.2% of respondents who do not consume fast food. 63.8% of respondents who consume fast food experience moderate dysmenorrhea. The results of the biavariate analysis of Stress Level with Dysmenorrhea Incidence ( p-value = 0.435) and Fast Food Consumption Behavior with Dysmenorrhea Incidence ( p-value = 0.23). Conclusion: in this study there is no relationship between stress levels and fast food consumption behavior with dysmenorrhea in female students of SMAN 8 Tana Toraja.

Abstract

Hypertension is a critical health indicator that reflects an individual's cardiovascular condition. This study aims to analyze risk factors associated with hypertension among seafarers in Semarang, focusing on age, smoking habits, and noise exposure. Using a cross-sectional design, the study involved 43 seafarers from three ships at Tanjung Mas Port. Data were collected through questionnaires and blood pressure measurements using a sphygmomanometer, while noise exposure was measured with a sound level meter. The results showed a significant association between age and blood pressure, with individuals over 30 years of age having higher levels of prehypertension and hypertension (p = 0.021). Conversely, no significant correlation was found between smoking habits (p = 0.880) or noise exposure (p = 0.290) and blood pressure levels. These results suggest that while age is a significant risk factor for hypertension, smoking and noise exposure may not have a direct impact. This study highlights the need for comprehensive health monitoring and interventions targeting lifestyle changes among seafarers to reduce the risk of hypertension and improve overall health and safety in the maritime work environment.

Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a significant public health issue in Indonesia. In 2024, Boyolali Regency recorded 963 DHF cases, with Sambi District accounting for the highest number (114 cases and 1 death). Notably, 16% of cases occurred in school-aged children, highlighting the importance of their knowledge regarding DHF prevention. Objective: This study aimed to assess the level of knowledge about DHF prevention among 5th and 6th grade elementary school students in Sambi District and identify influencing factors. Method: A quantitative descriptive design was applied using a cluster random sampling technique. A total of 62 students from nine elementary schools participated. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. Results: The majority of students (64.5%) had moderate knowledge about DHF, 24.2% demonstrated good knowledge, and 11.3% had poor knowledge. Most respondents were female (62.9%). Conclusion: The overall knowledge level among students was categorized as moderate, with a predominance of female respondents. The results indicate the need for enhanced school-based health education programs to improve students’ understanding and preventive practices related to DHF.

Abstract

The implementation of an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in the Emergency Department (ED) is a crucial aspect in supporting rapid response to patient care. In emergency situations, the speed and accuracy of information are vital, necessitating research to measure user satisfaction with the MERSI EMR system. This evaluation aims not only to assess user satisfaction but also to identify system weaknesses to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and effectiveness in supporting services in the ED. This study aims to determine user satisfaction with the MERSI system at the ED of RSUD Cengkareng using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) approach. A quantitative descriptive method was used with a quota sampling technique. The population consisted of 51 medical personnel operating the MERSI system in the ED. The results showed that for the Content variable, 88.2% of respondents were satisfied and 11.8% were not. For Accuracy, 80.4% were satisfied and 19.6% were not. For Format, 88.2% were satisfied and 11.8% were not. For Timeliness, 82.4% were satisfied and 17.6% were not. Meanwhile, for Ease of Use, 64.7% were satisfied and 35.3% were not. These findings indicate that the overall operation of MERSI has met user expectations, particularly in terms of information relevance, data accuracy, and interface design. The study recommends integrating MERSI with the hospital information system (SIMRS) as a backup effort to enhance the efficiency and reliability of healthcare services in the ED. Additionally, integration with a bridging system similar to BPJS PCare is expected to enable online access to patient medical records. Training for medical personnel should also be improved to optimize the use of the EMR system.

Abstract

This research focuses on the formulation and evaluation of liquid soap using sunflower seed oil and potassium hydroxide (KOH) with a sweet orange aroma. The study aims to determine the optimal ratio of KOH to sunflower seed oil and evaluate the physical properties of the resulting liquid soap, such as organoleptic characteristics, pH, specific gravity, viscosity, foam height, and foam stability. The saponification process was conducted using the hot process method. Three different KOH concentrations (25%, 30%, and 35%) were tested. The results showed that all formulas met the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for specific gravity, viscosity, and foam height. Formula II (30% KOH) was identified as the best formula due to its highest foam stability (90.67%) and acceptable pH (8), which falls within the recommended range (8–11). These findings indicate that sunflower oil-based liquid soap can be effectively formulated with desired physical properties and potential skincare benefits.
