Abstract

The lack of basic programming comprehension among non-ICT vocational students, particularly in Accounting majors, presents a significant challenge in Informatics education. Most students have not been systematically introduced to programming logic at the junior high school level, resulting in difficulties understanding key concepts such as variables, conditionals, and loops. This study aims to introduce fundamental programming concepts visually and interactively to Grade X Accounting 3 students through the use of Blocks Palette cards within a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) framework. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observations, interviews, surveys, and documentation of student project outcomes. The research subjects consisted of 36 students from a vocational high school. The findings revealed that the use of Blocks Palette cards significantly enhanced students' understanding of programming logic. Prior to the intervention, only 16.7% of students had any exposure to programming, but post-intervention, 83% were able to grasp programming logic sequentially. Moreover, students demonstrated increased motivation and a reduction in errors when arranging Scratch blocks. The integration of card-based media within the PjBL approach proved effective in fostering active, collaborative, and contextual learning environments, in line with Dual Coding Theory and constructivist principles. Therefore, this approach not only improved theoretical understanding but also strengthened practical skills, creativity, and students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of marble industry waste as a contextual chemistry learning medium that supports environmentally friendly learning practices in a high school located in a marble-producing area. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method to investigate how marble waste, particularly in the form of calcium carbonate powder, can be utilized in chemistry learning to minimize the use of hazardous chemicals and reduce laboratory waste. Data were collected through field observations at local marble industries, interviews with industry workers and chemistry teachers, and documentation of the marble processing stages and waste materials. The data were analyzed using a descriptive technique to interpret the findings based on real conditions in the field. The results show that marble waste has significant potential to be used in simple chemistry experiments such as acid-base reactions, identification of chemical compounds, and the study of geological processes. The use of locally sourced waste materials enhances students' understanding of chemistry concepts, increases learning motivation, and contributes to a safer and more sustainable school laboratory environment. The findings suggest that local industrial materials can be integrated effectively into science education to create meaningful and environmentally responsible learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the need for the implementation of a classical guidance model that utilizes Genre Kit media in improving students' understanding of premarital sexual risks. This study uses the Research and Development method consisting of needs analysis, model design, trials, and evaluation. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and surveys involving a sample population of 40 students and 3 counselors. The analysis techniques applied include descriptive analysis to describe the findings and inferential analysis to identify differences between groups that were given intervention and those that were not given intervention. The research findings show that the implementation of Genre Kit media in classical guidance can significantly improve students' understanding of premarital sexual risks. Based on these results, this study concludes that the guidance model developed can be an effective and attractive alternative to increase students' awareness of sexual risks.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of social comparison on body dissatisfaction among female students who use Instagram in the Professional Psychology Program at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Airlangga. The instruments used were the Social Comparison Scale adapted from O’Brien and the Body Dissatisfaction Scale based on the aspects defined by Rosen & Reiter. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 54 respondents, selected using total sampling. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with SPSS version 16.0. The results showed that social comparison did not have a significant effect on body dissatisfaction (p > 0.05). These findings indicate that social comparison is not a primary factor influencing body dissatisfaction among social media users in this study. The results highlight the importance of considering other components, such as self-esteem and coping mechanisms, when discussing body dissatisfaction among social media users.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic religious education in improving the professional attitude and work ethic of Heavy Equipment Engineering students at the Olat Maras Sumbawa Community Academy. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with field studies, which include in-depth interviews, observations and documentary studies as data collection techniques. Data were analyzed inductively through data reduction, data presentation and verification to gain a deep understanding of the impact of Islamic religious education on students' professional attitudes and work ethic. The results of the study indicate that Islamic religious education is very helpful in shaping students' discipline, responsibility and integrity. However, there is a gap between the understanding of religious values ​​and their implementation in real work practices, so that a more applicable and contextual learning method is needed. These findings provide recommendations for the development of curriculum and learning methods that integrate religious values ​​with the demands of heavy equipment engineering work life. This study makes an important contribution to the development of Islamic religious education within the framework of professional engineering education.

Abstract

This study aims to design a transformational leadership model for principals that can strengthen students' religious character at the Junior High School (SMP) level. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, this study analyzes the need to improve the leadership skills of principals in educating students' religious character. The subjects of the study consisted of five principals and ten teachers from junior high schools in Pemalang Regency, selected using a purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and questionnaires to identify the challenges faced by principals in implementing transformational leadership. It is hoped that the results of this study will provide recommendations that can improve the effectiveness of leadership based on strengthening students' religious character. The findings of the study revealed that the biggest challenges faced were the lack of training that focused on religious values ​​and the need for a more structured and practical leadership model.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a flashcard game-based learning media called Integer Clash, which is designed to increase students' learning motivation in understanding the concept of integer operations. This media combines elements of educational games with an interactive approach, so as to create a fun and challenging learning atmosphere. The research method used is research and development. Product trials were conducted on elementary school students with data collection through observation and interviews. The results showed that the use of Integer Clash as a learning media was able to significantly increase students' learning motivation. In addition, students showed high enthusiasm in participating in learning. Based on these findings, Integer Clash can be used as an alternative effective learning media in supporting the teaching and learning process of mathematics, especially on integer operations material.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the forms and factors of bullying, strategies for overcoming bullying and deepening the understanding of students at SDN 1 Sowanlor regarding the dangers of bullying. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that children with special needs who are categorized as slow learners, dyslexics and dysgraphia are victims of bullying. The forms of bullying experienced include verbal and physical bullying which are influenced by environmental factors and family conditions. To overcome this problem, researchers conducted a psychoeducation program using posters and powerpoint media about bullying. This program contributed significantly to fostering empathy and increasing students' awareness of the importance of mutual respect and stopping bullying behavior in the school environment.

Abstract

This research was aims to determine the quality of the Javanese final summative assessment questions for grade VII even semester at SMPN 2 Kutowinangun 2023/2024. This research used descriptive quantitative method with interview and study of document as data collection technique. The data source used in this research consisted of question sheets and 30 answer sheets wich taken randomly. The analysis of question was used SPSS dan anates. The results of this research showed (1) there are three questions should be revised because the construction is not complete; (2) based on validity, 57,14% questions was valid and 42,86% questions was invalid; (3) reliability of objective questions is very high, but the reliability of the essay questions is low; (4) difficulty level of the questions is not in balance proportion, so it needs to be revised; (5) based on descrimination level, 71,43% of questions was suitable; and (6) there found 9 questions with effective distractor, whereas 10 questions was not have effective distractor.

Abstract

Understanding fashion terms or terminology is an important thing to be mastered by teachers and students of the Fashion Design and Production expertise program, to facilitate communication in the learning process so that there are no mistakes in the practice of making clothes. Learning about fashion terminology can be done with the help of interactive learning media. An example of media that can be used is Wordwall-based media. This study aims to 1) develop Wordwall-based media on the terminology material for making skirts in the Basic Sewing Techniques subject, 2) determine students' responses to Wordwall-based learning media. This development research method uses the ADDIE model development technique, where for validation using expert validation using the formula Vah = (TSE: TSH) x 100%. While the implementation was carried out on class X DPB 3 students where respondents were taken using a saturated sampling technique of 32 students, the analysis technique used a percentage technique with the formula Percentage = (Number of scores obtained: Maximum number of scores) x 100%. The validation results showed 89.6% with a very feasible category. The implementation results obtained 88.06% with a very good category, which means that this media makes it easier for students to learn the material on making skirts.
