Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of the quenching process with various cooling media on the hardness of lead screw keys in a lathe. The objective was to determine the most effective cooling media for improving the key's mechanical properties, which play a critical role in the performance and durability of the lead screw. The cooling media tested included water, fresh SAE 10W-40 oil, and used SAE 10W-40 oil. The research method involved heat treatment at 850°C, followed by quenching using each medium, and then testing the hardness using the Rockwell B (HRB) method. The results revealed an unexpected finding: the untreated key had the highest hardness value (97.05 HRB), surpassing all quenched samples. Among the hardened samples, water produced the highest hardness (91.88 HRB), followed by used oil (82.32 HRB) and fresh oil (78.66 HRB). This indicates that the quenching process did not increase hardness and, in some cases, even decreased it. Potential causes include temperature instability during heat treatment and inaccurate material characterization, as SEM analysis failed to confirm the expected composition of the high-carbon steel. This study concluded that the quenching parameters and material characterization methods require refinement. Future research is recommended to utilize more precise temperature control, validate the material composition using techniques such as Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES), and explore alternative cooling media. These findings emphasize the importance of precise heat treatment process control to achieve desired mechanical properties in industrial applications.

Abstract

Digital innovation in public financial management is one of the key drivers to achieve transparent, efficient, and fair fiscal governance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of digitalization in public financial management by studying best practices that have been implemented in Indonesia and around the world. The research method used is a literature study through the analysis of journals, books, and policy documents related to the subject. The results of the study show that the distribution of digital technologies, such as e-budgeting, e-audit, blockchain, and digital payment, reduce potential deviations in the field of moral guidelines, accelerate the public service process, and strengthen fiscal justice through budget equity. This article concludes that digital innovation must be supported by strengthening regulations, increasing the capacity of the apparatus, and public participation so that the goals of good governance can be achieved.

Abstract

Indonesia’s capital market exhibited a positive trend as the Composite Stock Price Index reached the 8,000 level during August-October 2025. This article examines whether that rise constitutes a short-term momentum driven by market sentiment and fiscal measures or instead reflects more fundamental public economic stability. Employing a literature review that synthesizes theoretical and empirical findings with emphasis on recent empirical studies while incorporating relevant seminal works the study also includes a case study of the government’s placement of IDR 200 trillion in state-owned banks (Himbara) on 12 September 2025. The case study is accompanied by a descriptive analysis of index movements and a simple event-study procedure to assess short-term market reactions. The review indicates that the Composite Stock Price Index is influenced by a mix of macro-fundamental factors (inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, and growth) and psychological or institutional factors (fiscal policy and government credibility). Although liquidity-enhancing fiscal action acted as a catalyst for sentiment-driven momentum, preliminary evidence suggests the index’s rise alone does not yet confirm medium-term public economic stability without corroborating improvements in macro-fundamental indicators.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic caused social and economic disparities in addition to a health crisis. Rising poverty levels, decreased purchasing power, and limitations on socio-economic mobility are some examples of these impacts. Public economic policy is an important tool for the government to restore social balance through resource distribution and the strengthening of fiscal policies. The aim of this study is to examine how effective post-pandemic public economic policies are and to develop optimization methods that can evenly improve societal welfare. The method used in this article is a qualitative approach focused on literature research, national statistical data, and scientific journals. The analysis results indicate that policies such as social assistance programs, incentives for small businesses, and increased public spending have improved economic stability, but they have not been fully effective in addressing structural inequality. Therefore, policy optimization should focus on implementing progressive taxes, improving public spending efficiency, and enhancing transparency and accountability in the fiscal system. It is hoped that this optimization can strengthen socio-economic resilience and generate inclusive and sustainable growth.

Abstract

Induction motors are electrical machines that operate based on electromagnetic principles to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. In the oil and gas industry, electric motors are widely used for operational processes. This accounts for a large portion of operational costs. At the Fuel Oil Complex II operating unit, the 011P-109B drive motor for the LDO product pump was damaged, so the motor was replaced with one that exceeded the existing specifications, namely from 125HP to 150HP, 111.855 kW, 2 poles, and a frequency of 50 Hz. Research was conducted to test the efficiency of the motor. The method used in this test was a literature review of several publications that comply with national and international standards. Based on efficiency calculations, the 150HP induction motor has superior operational efficiency compared to the 125HP motor, with an average efficiency of 93.63% compared to 93.15%, as well as lower power loss of 4.8kW compared to the 125HP motor, which has a power loss of 5.01kW. The comparison results with the IEC 60034-30-1:2014 standard show that both motors are technically classified in the IE2 (High Efficiency) to IE2+ (Borderline IE3) category.

Abstract

Religious fanaticism has emerged as a prominent social phenomenon in contemporary Muslim societies and poses significant challenges to the development of inclusive and moderate character education. Fanaticism is not merely an expression of strong religious commitment, but rather manifests as an exclusive and absolutist attitude that undermines core character values such as tolerance, empathy, and openness to social diversity. This study aims to analyze religious fanaticism as a multidimensional phenomenon and to examine its implications for character education within the context of contemporary Muslim societies. Employing a qualitative approach, this research adopts a library research method with a descriptive-analytical framework. Data were collected from scholarly books and peer-reviewed journal articles addressing religious fanaticism, religious moderation, and character education. The findings indicate that religious fanaticism functions as a structural challenge to character education by influencing religious culture, social relations, and educational practices. Therefore, character education developed through a contextual and moderation-based approach plays a strategic role in fostering reflective, inclusive, and socially harmonious religious attitudes. Such an approach positions character education not only as moral instruction but also as a long-term preventive strategy for addressing the social consequences of religious fanaticism.

Abstract

Social media has become an important source of information for adolescents, including reproductive health issues. However, the influence of social media use on adolescents’ perceptions remains unclear, since the duration of use does not always reflect the quality of information received. This study aimed to examine the relationship between social media usage and adolescents’ perceptions of reproductive health. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 50 adolescents from Senior High School Muhammadiyah 1 Bandung. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed with the chi-square test. The results showed that 70% of respondents had a good perception and 30% had a poor perception of reproductive health. Most adolescents (88%) reported social media use of less than 3.33 hours per day, while 12% used it for more than 3.33 hours. Statistical analysis indicated no significant relationship between the duration of social media use and perceptions of reproductive health (p = 0.849). These findings highlight that adolescents’ perceptions are influenced more by the quality and credibility of information than by the length of time spent online. Strengthening digital literacy and providing accurate, youth-friendly content are essential to optimize social media for reproductive health promotion.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low utilization of contextual digital teaching materials in learning environmental change topics, resulting in environmental awareness and students’ critical thinking skills not developing optimally. The study aimed to develop an ecoliteracy-based E-LKPD using Liveworksheets on environmental change materials for Grade X and to describe its validity and practicality levels. The research employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, limited to the analysis, design, and development stages. Data were obtained through teacher interviews, validation by subject-matter and media experts, and a small-group trial involving 15 students of SMA IT Fadhilah Pekanbaru using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The validation results showed an average score of 79% (valid category) for the material, media, and language aspects, while practitioner (teacher) validation reached 90% (very valid category). The student practicality trial produced an average of 91.5% in the very practical category, viewed from a systematic instructional design, ease of operation, and an attractive and contextual appearance. The integration of cognitive, attitudinal, and skills aspects within the ecoliteracy framework encourages students to analyze environmental problems, develop ecological empathy, and demonstrate responsibility toward the environment. It is concluded that the developed ecoliteracy-based E-LKPD is valid and highly practical for use as an alternative digital teaching material to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and the strengthening of the environmentally oriented Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic application of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) in Islamic higher education by observing Muhammadiyah University Jakarta (UMJ), the first Muhammadiyah university that has been established for 70 years in maintaining its reputation as a modern Islamic campus. Using a qualitative approach through an integrative literature review and observations at Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta regarding IMC, university branding, and digital communication, the analysis shows that UMJ has implemented some IMC principles through coordinated activities from the Public Relations, Multimedia, and Protocol units under the University Secretariat Office. Although these practices demonstrate message synergy, their implementation is not yet structured within the IMC framework because they are still separate from the PMB promotion section. This article proposes the Value Digital Coordination (VDC) Model as a strategic guideline for Islamic universities to integrate value-based persuasion, digital synergy, and institutional coordination in building a modern Islamic campus image. The results of the study confirm that IMC is not merely a promotional tool, but rather a communication ideology that integrates Islamic values of trustworthiness, professionalism, and social responsibility into institutional communication.
