Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of working hours and workload on the psychological well-being of healthcare workes at Mahawira Prima General Hospital, Indonesia. This research employs a quantitative approach with a population of 107 healthcare workers. A sample size of 52 respondents was determined using Slovin's formula. The research instrument was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results of this study indicated that working hours have a significant influenced on the psychological well-being of healthcare workers (t=2.188; p<0.05). Similarly, workload also significantly affected the psychological well being of healthcare workers (t=3.201; p<0.05). Simultaneously, working hours and workload significantly influenced the psychological well-being of healthcare workers with an F value of 16.147 (p<0.05) and a coefficient of determination of 39.7%. This suggests that 39.7% of the variation in psychological well-being could be explained by working hours and workload, while the remaining 60.3% was influenced by factors outside the scope of this research.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of students in mathematics subjects in grade IV of SDN 060866 Medan, which is caused by learning that is still centered on the teacher and the unavailability of interactive learning media that supports the learning process. This study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of developing interactive e-modules based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to improve critical thinking skills of grade IV students in mathematics subjects. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were a material expert, a question expert, a design expert, teachers and grade IV students of SDN 060866 Medan, totaling 23 students. Data collection instruments included validation sheets of material experts, question experts, design experts, teacher practicality questionnaires, as well as pre-test and post-test tests to measure effectiveness. The research results showed that the developed e-module was deemed highly feasible, with validation results from material experts reaching 87.69%, validation from question experts reaching 84.61%, and validation from design experts reaching 95.65%. The practicality test yielded a score of 98.6%, categorized as very practical. Furthermore, the e-module also proved highly effective, with a student learning completion rate of 91% and an average score increase from 53.75 in the pre-test to 87.75 in the post-test, representing a 34-point increase. Therefore, the developed interactive e-module based on Problem-Based Learning was deemed feasible, practical, and effective for use in mathematics learning to improve the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 060866 Medan.

Abstract

A generation is understood not only as an age category, but also as a cultural identity shaped by the social and historical experiences collectively shared by individuals over a specific period of time. This article aims to analyze how the dynamics of historical experiences play a role in shaping the social character and value systems of each generation in society. This study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review of various sociological studies on the concept of generation and social change. The findings indicate that historical events, technological developments, and social and cultural changes influence a generation’s mindset, value orientation, and lifestyle. Each generation subsequently develops distinctive social characteristics in response to the context of its time. In contemporary society, the acceleration of globalization and digitalization further strengthens the process of generational identity formation through increasingly widespread social interactions. Therefore, understanding generations as cultural identities is crucial for examining the dynamics of social change and intergenerational relationships in modern society.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of micro-enterprise competitiveness in facing increasingly fierce competition, particularly for the Almadani Juara Snacks business in Pajus Market. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of product innovation and location on business competitiveness. This study used a quantitative approach, collecting data through a questionnaire from 100 respondents who were Almadani Juara Snacks consumers, using an accidental sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that product innovation had a partial significant effect on business competitiveness, with a calculated t-value of 4.804 > t-table 1.660 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Location also significantly influenced business competitiveness, with a calculated t-value of 3.062 > t-table 1.660 and a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05. Furthermore, product innovation was the most dominant variable influencing business competitiveness compared to location. Simultaneously, product innovation and location significantly influence business competitiveness. The discussion shows that increasing product innovation, such as flavor and packaging variations, along with strategic location selection, can increase consumer interest and maintain business sustainability. The conclusion of this study is that product innovation and location play a crucial role in enhancing the competitiveness of Almadani Juara Cemilan in Pajus Market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gaps in immigration policy at Immigration Checkpoints (TPI) in Indonesia and their impact on the supervision of foreign nationals (WNA). The research employs a qualitative approach with a critical realist paradigm, using literature review and document analysis methods. Data were obtained from laws and regulations, scientific journals, and official reports related to immigration. The results indicate that there are various gaps in the immigration system, particularly in document verification, data integration among agencies, and the monitoring of foreign nationals’ activities. These gaps are exploited by foreign nationals to commit violations such as visa misuse, overstaying, and other illegal activities. In addition, weak inter-agency coordination and the suboptimal use of technology further exacerbate these issues. From the perspective of state sovereignty, these policy gaps pose potential threats to national security. Therefore, strengthening regulations, enhancing supervision, and implementing an integrated digital immigration system are necessary to close existing policy gaps and improve the effectiveness of immigration management in Indonesia.

Abstract

The value of Rahmatan lil 'alamin in Islamic creed emphasizes compassion, justice, and protection for all beings, including children as a vulnerable group. This study aims to analyze the role of child protection institutions as an implementation of the value of Rahmatan lil 'alamin from the perspective of Islamic aqidah. The research uses a qualitative approach through library research by examining relevant literature on Islamic creed and child protection. The findings indicate that child protection institutions play an important role in realizing the value of compassion through efforts to prevent violence, fulfill children's rights, and provide legal and social protection. This implementation shows that child protection is not only a social and legal obligation but also has a theological foundation in Islam as a manifestation of mercy for all creation.
