Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ experiences in internalizing national character values through Civic Education courses and to analyze the extent of their implementation in campus life. This research employed a qualitative approach using a phenomenological method to explore students’ lived experiences. The participants consisted of six second-semester students enrolled in the Civic Education course at STABN Sriwijaya Tangerang. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis followed Creswell’s phenomenological model. The results indicate that students internalize various national character values, including religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, democratic attitudes, and responsibility. These values are reflected in both academic and social activities, although the level of implementation varies among individuals. The findings also reveal that the role of lecturers, learning environment, and instructional strategies significantly influence the internalization process. Furthermore, Civic Education courses play a strategic role in shaping students’ character as responsible and active citizens. However, the inconsistency in value implementation suggests the need for more systematic and practice-based learning approaches.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of students' emotional attraction at MA Ma'arif Al Asy'Ari which is often considered an obstacle to concentration, but psychologically has a strong influence on learning behavior. The main issue raised is the existence of rigid school policies on students' social relations, even though peer support is a key motivational factor. The purpose of this study is to map how the different interaction loci – internal and external to the school – affect the dynamics of student learning enthusiasm. Using a qualitative approach to phenomenological design, data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with teachers and students on April 22–23, 2026. The results show a pattern of impact dualism: the Internal-Class relationship functions as a positive catalyst through a mechanism of physical proximity (propinquity) that creates an intellectual "competition stage", where students perform self-equality in order to maintain an impression in front of the figure they admire. In contrast, the External-School relationship is destructive because it triggers "psychological energy leakage" and disorientation of priorities, leading to an increase in absenteeism because school is perceived as an inhibitor of outside interaction. The research discussion emphasized that the effectiveness of interpersonal motivation is highly dependent on the integration of these figures into the school ecosystem. In conclusion, an integrated relationship with the madrasah environment is able to turn emotional energy into academic encouragement, so the school needs to design an adaptive mentoring pattern by embracing the social dynamics of students as a positive force to achieve educational goals.

Abstract

Curriculum development is fundamentally grounded in three main aspects: philosophical, sociological, and psychological dimensions. However, reliance solely on these three aspects may cause the curriculum to lose its spiritual dimension, which constitutes an essential element of education. Therefore, the integration of Islamic values derived from the Qur’an and Hadith is necessary as a foundation for constructing a more comprehensive and meaningful curriculum. This study aims to examine the role of the Qur’an as a basis for the formation of the Islamic education curriculum by referring to Qur’an Surah Al-Baqarah verse 133 and Surah Al-Isra’ verse 23. The study employs a qualitative library research method utilizing contemporary literature combined with interpretative approaches from classical Islamic scholars. The collected data were analyzed descriptively to generate relevant conclusions. The findings reveal that the Qur’an possesses strong relevance as a foundational framework for curriculum development in the contemporary era. Surah Al-Baqarah verse 133 emphasizes the establishment of a strong foundation of tawhid (Islamic monotheism), while Surah Al-Isra’ verse 23 highlights the obligation to honor and show devotion to one’s parents. A curriculum that incorporates these two teachings is expected to shape students with a strong tawhidic foundation, enabling them to resist secular influences. Furthermore, the value of filial piety toward parents can foster students’ appreciation for the significant role and existence of both parents. This study affirms that the Qur’an serves as the primary universal guideline that remains relevant across all times and places (shalih li kulli zaman wa makan).

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding of students in the learning process caused by the lecture method which tends to make students passive, boring, sleepy and less involved in learning. This condition not only impacts learning outcomes, but also affects the psychological aspects of students, in the form of stress originating from academic, family and social pressures. Therefore, an interactive, effective and easy-to-understand method is needed to support stress management with classical services. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the mind map method in improving understanding of stress management in grade 5 students of Tasdikiah Thailand. The method used is a quantitative experiment with a Quasi Experiment Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study provided a pretest and posttest to the experimental class and the control class to see the differences in the two groups. The population in this study were all students of grades 5.1 and 5.3, totaling 64 people, where grade 5.1 was designated as the experimental class given treatment and grade 5.3 as the control class. Sampling was used with incidental sampling techniques, this sample was based on students who happened to be there at the time of the study. The results of this study found that; 1) the pretest results of the experimental class averaged 9.53 and the control class averaged 5.83; 2) the posttest results of the experimental class averaged 11.89 and the control class 6.92; 3) this hypothesis test was carried out through a non-parametric test, namely the Man-Whitney U test, obtained a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, so there is a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. So Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which shows that this study is effective in improving understanding of stress management.

Abstract

This study explores the state of natural resources and human resources in Pasuruan City and their relationship in supporting the pace of regional economic growth. The city of Pasuruan has significant potential for the application of natural resources, especially in the fisheries, agriculture, industry, and tourism sectors. Its favorable geographical position also contributes to the development of the economic activities of the local community. However, the use of natural resources has not been fully maximized because there are various challenges, especially related to the low quality of human resources in some regions. Low education, skills, experience, and lack of training and application of technology are obstacles in the efficient and sustainable management of natural resources. In addition, environmental issues such as pollution and overexploitation of resources are also issues that need attention. This study applies a qualitative descriptive method by analyzing the state of natural resources and human resources in Pasuruan City based on various data sources and relevant discussions. The findings of the study show that the relationship between natural resources and human resources is very close, because the success of natural resource management is greatly influenced by the quality of human resources as the main manager. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a Qur’anic therapy approach in improving the psychological well-being of students at SMAN 3 Pasuruan City. The research is grounded in the growing concern over students’ mental health issues, such as stress, anxiety, and emotional instability, which require integrative and value-based interventions. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving teachers, school counselors, and students. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Qur’anic therapy approach is carried out through structured activities such as Qur’an recitation (tilawah), memorization (tahfidz), reflection on meanings (tadabbur), and spiritual guidance sessions. These activities are integrated into both formal and non-formal school programs. The results indicate that the approach contributes positively to students’ psychological well-being, including increased emotional control, reduced anxiety levels, enhanced self-awareness, and strengthened spiritual resilience. Supporting factors include teacher commitment, a conducive religious environment, and institutional support, while inhibiting factors involve limited time allocation and varying levels of student engagement. In conclusion, the Qur’anic therapy approach serves as an effective alternative in fostering students’ psychological well-being through holistic integration of spiritual and psychological dimensions. This study recommends the development of more systematic program designs and broader implementation in educational institutions.
