Abstract

The low level of students’ activeness and learning outcomes are among the many problems found in biology learning. The complexity of biological material, particularly in the coordination system topic, and the use of less innovative learning models are the main factors contributing to these issues. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the game-based learning model assisted by card sort on students’ activeness and learning outcomes in the coordination system topic. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Group Posttest Only Design. The study was conducted at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. The research samples were class XI.2 (experimental class) and class XI.7 (control class). Data were collected through observation using observation sheets, tests using test sheets, and documentation using documentation guidelines. The results showed that: (1) the average activeness score of students in the experimental class was 63.56 (active), while the average activeness score of students in the control class was only 55.83 (fairly active); (2) the average learning outcome score of students in the experimental class was 84.23 (good), while that of the control class was only 77.26 (fairly good). The hypothesis test results indicated that: (1) there was a highly significant effect of applying the game-based learning model assisted by card sort on students’ learning activeness (sig. value 0.000 < 0.05); and (2) there was a highly significant effect of applying the game-based learning model assisted by card sort on students’ learning outcomes (sig. value 0.000 < 0.05). This study indicates that integrating educational games with card media can enhance students’ activeness and learning outcomes in biology learning, especially for complex topics such as the coordination system. This learning model can be implemented at other educational levels to improve students’ activeness and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of consumptive behavior among students of the Social Sciences Education Study Program (PIPS) at UIN Jakarta in the digital era. The development of digital technology and social media has changed students' consumption patterns from those originally driven by rational needs to behaviors influenced by emotions and the search for social identity. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 3 active students selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results show that most students prefer online shopping because of its ease of access, product variety, and numerous attractive promotions. Social media such as TikTok, Instagram, and Shopee Live play an important role in shaping purchasing interests through digital promotions and the influence of influencers. Psychological factors such as Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and social pressure from peers also contribute to the emergence of impulsive consumptive behavior. However, some students are beginning to show financial awareness by trying to distinguish between needs and wants and managing their finances more wisely. This study concludes that the consumptive behavior of PIPS UIN Jakarta students in the digital era is a form of adaptation to the influence of technology and digital culture, but it can be controlled through the strengthening of financial literacy. Therefore, universities need to play an active role in instilling digital financial literacy to shape smart, critical, and sustainable consumptive behavior.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are an important part of a nation's economy, including in Situbondo. Development strategies are instruments used by the government, the business world, or local authorities to achieve long-term goals through preparation and assistance to develop and improve business capabilities. Empowering MSMEs is essentially a shared responsibility between the government, society, and companies. Research findings obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of consumers at UD Tanjung Jaya indicate a strong correlation between MSME development strategies and consumer purchasing decisions. This finding reflects that the success of a micro business is not only determined by the existence of the product itself but also by strategic approaches in business management. One of the most notable findings is that product quality is the dominant factor in purchasing decisions. It can be concluded that the interpretation of the findings indicates that SME development strategies should focus on improving product quality, price efficiency, and customer service. However, for long-term growth, there needs to be a transformation in terms of promotion, legality, and distribution expansion so that products can reach broader and more competitive market segments sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price and service quality on customer satisfaction in the sound system rental business of Bismillah Audio in Situbondo Regency. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with an associative causal research design. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire distributed to 50 respondents consisting of Bismillah Audio service users. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, indicating that all questionnaire items were valid and reliable. Data analysis techniques included multiple linear regression, t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results of the study indicate that the service quality variable has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, with a regression coefficient value of 0.398 and significance of 0.000 (< 0.05). Conversely, the price variable does not show a significant effect on customer satisfaction partially, with a significance value of 0.310 (> 0.05). However, simultaneously, price and service quality have a significant effect on customer satisfaction with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.949. This indicates that 94.9% of the variation in customer satisfaction can be explained by these two independent variables, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the model.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach. Quantitative research is a type of research that is systematic, planned, and clearly structured, from formulation to research design. Based on the results of the SPSS calculations above, it can be concluded that the correlation coefficient of 0.851 indicates the influence of price, location, and service quality on customer satisfaction. In this case, the number of respondents was 100. The R table value was obtained by calculating the degree of freedom (df) = 100 – 2 = 98, with df = 98 and alpha = 0.05, resulting in an R-table value of 0.198. Therefore, r calculated > r table, 0.851 > 0.198, meaning the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis Ha is accepted, indicating that there is an influence of price, location, and service quality on customer satisfaction, which is a high correlation. The calculated t-value for price is 8.096 and the t-table value is 1.985, meaning that the comparison between the t-table value and the calculated t-value (8.096 < 1.985) shows that the t-table value is greater than the calculated t-value. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the price variable on customer satisfaction simultaneously, so Ha is accepted. The calculated t-value for location is 2.426 and the table value is 1.985, meaning that the table value is greater than the calculated value (2.426 < 1.985). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a simultaneous influence of the location variable on customer satisfaction, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The calculated t-value for service quality is 5.501 and the table value is 1.985, meaning that the table value is greater than the calculated value (5.501 < 1.980). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a simultaneous influence of the service quality variable on consumer satisfaction, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

The era of disruption has brought significant changes to educational management systems and demands school leadership that is adaptive, reflective, and grounded in philosophical values. However, the practical orientation of education has often overlooked the philosophical foundations that should guide thinking and strategic decision-making in educational leadership. This study aims to examine the essence of the philosophy of educational management as a conceptual basis for an adaptive school leadership model in the disruption era. This research employs a qualitative approach using the library research method. Data were obtained from books, national and international scholarly journals, and educational policy documents relevant to the theme of the philosophy of educational management. The data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and reflective conclusion drawing using ontological, epistemological, and axiological approaches. The findings indicate that the philosophy of educational management functions as a conceptual framework that guides school principals in understanding the nature of human beings, knowledge, and values in leadership practice. The integration of these three philosophical dimensions produces a reflective leadership model that emphasizes a balance between managerial rationality, morality, and spirituality. The results affirm that the philosophy of educational management can serve as a foundation for school leadership that is oriented toward humanity and value transformation amid technological and social change. The implications of this study highlight opportunities for developing value-based leadership models to address the complexities of the disruption era.

Abstract

Strengthening 21st-century skills is a crucial priority for educational institutions, particularly Islamic schools, to enable students to respond to global challenges critically, creatively, collaboratively, and communicatively. However, current religious development programs have not fully incorporated the enhancement of these competencies, especially within Islamic Spiritual Organizations (Rohis). This study aims to explore how Rohis instructors at MAN 1 Semarang support students in developing 21st-century skills and to identify the strategic approaches implemented through informal religious activities. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the research involved Rohis instructors and student members as participants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that Rohis instructors serve multiple roles, including organizational managers, mentors, educators, role models, facilitators, and motivators. Through routine meetings, religious community service programs, public speaking training, and the production of digital dakwah media, instructors successfully integrated 4C competencies. As a result, students’ religious values, critical thinking, communication skills, teamwork, and creativity improved significantly. Nonetheless, several challenges were identified, such as limited instructor capacity, the absence of standardized assessment tools, and time constraints.
