Abstract

This study analyzes Indonesia’s maritime transformation from its historical maritime heritage to the implementation of a sustainable Blue Economy. Employing a qualitative descriptive method through literature review, this research integrates historical and geopolitical approaches using content analysis. Primary sources include government policy documents, while secondary materials consist of historical literature, academic journal articles, and reports from international organizations. The findings reveal that the legacy of the Spice Route and the Asia-Africa maritime trade network shaped Indonesia's maritime identity, though colonialism redirected development toward a continental orientation that weakened maritime capacity. The revitalization of maritime strategies through the Global Maritime Fulcrum and Blue Economy has promoted sustainable utilization of marine resources including fisheries, marine tourism, renewable energy, and biotechnology, despite facing challenges in regulation, technology, and ecosystem conservation. These developments have enhanced Indonesia's geopolitical leverage in the Indo-Pacific region, strengthened maritime sovereignty, and supported national diplomacy. The Blue Economy framework offers substantial opportunities for Indonesia to optimize its maritime potential while maintaining environmental sustainability and supporting coastal communities'’ welfare.

Abstract

Instagram social media, which was originally shown as a photo and video sharing application between users, is now increasingly shifting because it is used to promote a product/service. These results are based on the increasing use of Instagram which is getting faster every day, so that it is used as an opportunity by business actors who are already big or just starting a business. Instagram content design responds to this phenomenon which is proven by the increase in features to support marketing. Many things can be used by services/products to develop their companies with Instagram content design to promote products and services. However, not many business actors use Instagram features other than in the form of photos and content. This study uses a literature review method and is studied with the theory of visual elements, content, and theories related to marketing a content. The results of the study using the literature review method show that the Instagram content design strategy on social media is very efficient in increasing consumer appeal on social media for the El Beauty salon.

Abstract

In an era of globalization and increasingly fierce market competition, companies are required to be smarter in designing effective marketing strategies. One important element in marketing strategy is promotion, which serves to increase consumer awareness and interest in products. In addition, price is also a crucial factor that can influence purchasing decisions and consumer satisfaction. In this context, bouquet products, which are aesthetically arranged compositions of flowers, have become increasingly popular among the public, especially for various events such as weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations.

Abstract

The coffee industry, especially in Indonesia, is growing rapidly in line with public interest in local products with distinctive flavors and aromas. The purpose of this study is to examine the interaction between innovation and product quality in influencing consumer satisfaction with spice coffee products. This study employs a qualitative approach to understand consumers' experiences, perceptions, and views on innovation and product quality of Mr. Ali's spice coffee. The qualitative approach was chosen because it allows for in-depth exploration of social and cultural phenomena involving consumers. From the discussion, it was concluded that there is a mutually reinforcing relationship between product innovation, product quality, and consumer satisfaction levels. Mr. Ali's spice coffee products have succeeded in meeting customer expectations through relevant innovation, good quality raw materials, and responsive and personalized service.

Abstract

Education is not only aimed at improving students’ intelligence but also at building their character and morality. Thus, education is essential in producing individuals who are not only intelligent but also virtuous, capable of self control, and able to contribute beneficially to society. This study focuses on the religious values contained in the content of @kadamsidik00 as well as the methods of delivering religious messages through his video content. This research employs a qualitative approach with Library Research, obtained by comparing the information found with other relevant sources. The TikTok content of @kadamsidik00 contains values of Islamic Religious Education, including muamalah (social interactions), aqidah (faith), ibadah (worship), and akhlaq (morality). @kadamsidik00 utilizes communicative and reflective methods, with simple and contextual language.

Abstract

Thomas Armstrong’s book, The Best Schools, offers a profound critique of the conventional education system, which places excessive emphasis on academic achievement and standardized test results while neglecting the holistic development of students. Armstrong proposes a humanistic educational paradigm that prioritizes the comprehensive growth of learners, encompassing physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. The book elaborates on how principles of human development can be translated into practical and relevant educational practices across different levels of schooling, from early childhood to senior high school. This study systematically reviews Armstrong’s educational concepts and practices, examining their relevance and potential application in the context of Indonesian education. The findings indicate that a humanistic approach, which values the uniqueness and developmental needs of each individual, effectively enhances learning motivation, socio-emotional skills, and students’ psychological well-being. Furthermore, this approach fosters an inclusive, supportive, and democratic learning environment, which is essential for nurturing students who are not only academically competent but also emotionally mature and prepared to face global challenges. The study recommends the integration of Armstrong’s principles into Indonesian educational policies and practices as part of a more humane and meaningful educational reform.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze internal and external factors that influence the learning independence of deaf students in higher education through a systematic review approach. Data were obtained from 15 national and international journal articles indexed by Google Scholar, published between 2015 and 2025, which discuss the academic, socio-emotional, communication, cognitive, and learning independence aspects of deaf students. The analysis results show that learning independence is influenced by internal factors, such as motivation, self-confidence, effective learning strategies, and adaptability. External factors that play a role include family support, learning facilities, inclusive campus policies, and social support from friends and the community. Communication barriers, social stigma, and limited facilities remain significant challenges that can interfere with learning independence. This study confirms that the success of inclusive education requires an integration of personal and environmental factors. Implications: Higher education institutions need to strengthen accessibility services, families are expected to provide consistent emotional support, and further research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of more targeted interventions.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is a crucial competency that students must develop to tackle non-routine questions and real-life problems. However, observations show that many students still struggle to devise appropriate problem-solving strategies, particularly on the topic of the Pythagorean Theorem. This study aims to investigate the effect of the problem solving learning model on improving students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two eighth-grade classes at SMP Nurul Jadid: an experimental class taught using the problem solving model and a control class taught using a conventional method. Data were collected through essay tests (pretest and posttest) and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and Mann-Whitney U hypothesis tests. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes, with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.003 < 0.05. This indicates that the problem solving model significantly improves students' problem-solving abilities. The findings suggest that students’ active engagement in understanding problems, planning strategies, and solving tasks independently plays an important role in enhancing their skills. Therefore, the problem solving learning model can be considered an effective alternative in mathematics instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning activities and the effectiveness of applying the problem-based learning (PBL) model using film media in teaching expository writing to tenth-grade students at SMAS NU Kaplongan in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which used the PBL model with film media, and the control class, which used conventional methods (lectures). Learning activity data were collected through observation, while students' writing abilities were assessed using pretests and posttests. Observation results showed that the average learning activity score in the experimental class was 68.63% (high category), while the control class scored 54% (moderate category). An independent sample t-test yielded a t-value of 16.755 with a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in expository writing skills between the experimental and control classes. Additionally, the paired sample t-test produced a t-value of 39.26 with df = 24 and a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating a meaningful effect of the treatment on each variable. These findings suggest that the use of the PBL model with film media is effective in enhancing students’ expository writing skills. Therefore, problem-based learning using film media is an effective and engaging instructional strategy for improving writing skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strengthening of the village economy thru the empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the improvement of children's financial literacy in Paluh Sibaji Village, Pantai Labu District. MSMEs play an important role in increasing the economic independence of rural communities, while financial literacy for children is seen as strategic for building a generation that is aware of financial management from an early age. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that empowering MSMEs in Paluh Sibaji Village has contributed to increasing family income and expanding employment opportunities. On the other hand, children's financial literacy programs have a positive impact on children's mindset regarding the importance of saving, small entrepreneurship, and managing their pocket money wisely. Collaboration between MSMEs and children's financial literacy education has proven to be an effective strategy in creating sustainable economic resilience in villages. This research confirms that strengthening the rural economy lies not only in the productive aspects of the community, but also in the formation of the financial character of the younger generation.
