Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of Jamaluddin al-Afghani’s rationalist and Pan-Islamist thought in addressing the challenges of Islamic reform in the modern Muslim world. The background of the research is rooted in the need for Muslims to overcome intellectual stagnation, colonial subjugation, and geopolitical fragmentation through a rational and inclusive paradigm. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods, with descriptive-interpretative analysis of al-Afghani’s works and related secondary literature. The findings reveal that al-Afghani placed rationality at the core of theological and socio-political reform, rejecting blind imitation (taqlid) and fatalism, while emphasizing ijtihad and education. His Pan-Islamist ideas served as a strategic foundation for the global revival of the Muslim ummah, transcending ethnic and national boundaries. His thought inspired later reformers such as Muhammad Abduh and Rashid Rida in shaping a modern, critical, and progressive Islam. Al-Afghani’s intellectual legacy remains highly relevant in confronting contemporary issues such as extremism, authoritarianism, and identity crises within the Muslim world.

Abstract

The growing use of online lending services in recent years has led not only to financial consequences but also to increasing psychological pressure among users. One of the affected psychological aspects is psychological safety, defined as an individual’s perception of feeling safe to express problems, concerns, or difficulties without fear of negative judgment or shame. This study aims to examine the relationship between financial stress and psychological safety among individuals who have used online lending platforms. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 270 respondents with current or past experience in using online loans. Data analysis was conducted using JASP software. The results revealed a significant negative correlation between financial stress and psychological safety (r = -0.340; p < 0.001), indicating that higher financial stress is associated with lower psychological safety. Additionally, respondents with loan default experiences reported significantly lower psychological safety scores (p = 0.008). Most respondents were classified in the moderate to low category of psychological safety. These findings emphasize that economic stress plays a crucial role in diminishing individuals' sense of psychological safety. Therefore, psychosocial interventions and mental health sensitive policies are urgently needed to address the psychological impact of online lending practices.

Abstract

The Indonesian automotive industry is experiencing significant growth, driving an increasing demand for after-sales services, including spare parts. However, fluctuations in spare part prices pose a challenge that can impact customer satisfaction and the sustainability of workshop profitability. This study aims to analyze the impact of spare part price changes on customer satisfaction and the profitability strategies implemented by Auto2000 MT Haryono, Balikpapan. A qualitative case study was used. Data were collected through structured interviews with five respondents—four customers and one workshop manager—and non-participant observation during an internship. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis techniques. The results show that changes in spare part prices elicit an initial reaction of surprise from customers, but do not directly reduce satisfaction levels if communication is conducted openly and responsively. Customer satisfaction is largely determined by service quality, information transparency, and established loyalty. Conversely, centrally controlled price adjustments can actually increase workshop profitability when accompanied by compensation strategies such as the Toyota Care program and seasonal promotions. This study concludes that balancing clear price communication and increasing service value is key to maintaining customer satisfaction and sustainable profits. This study provides practical contributions to workshop management in designing customer-oriented pricing and communication strategies, and opens up opportunities for further exploration in other automotive workshop contexts.

Abstract

Parenting encompasses is all interactions applied by parents in guiding and educating children to ensure they grow and develop well. Generation Z is a generation that grew alongside the development of technology, making them more openminded to various information. They have a different parenting style from the previous generation, which tended to adhere patriarchal principles. The researchers chose Gen Z as the research subject on Islamic parenting based on gender equality due to the differences parenting styles from previous. Gen Z entering parenthood moment now, so it can be new topic for research. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research results show that Generation Z parents have thoughts aligned with gender-equal Islamic parenting. However, the realization of that aspect has not yet been fully implemented by them. This shows that Gen Z, when they become parents, start to realize the importance of raising children without considering a specific gender.

Abstract

Based on a literature review of various MPPT algorithms, it can be concluded that each algorithm has its own advantages and limitations depending on the operational conditions of the photovoltaic system. Conventional algorithms such as Perturb and Observe (P&O) and Incremental Conductance (INC) offer a simple structure and easy implementation, but are less responsive to rapid weather changes. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence-based algorithms such as Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) demonstrate superior performance in terms of tracking speed, efficiency, and stability under dynamic conditions. The combination of algorithms or hybrid methods has also been proven to improve system resilience to irradiance and temperature fluctuations. Therefore, the selection of an MPPT algorithm must consider the context of use, such as environmental conditions, hardware capacity, and the overall efficiency needs of the system. With the right approach, MPPT systems can significantly increase the power output of solar panels and support sustainable energy efficiency.

Abstract

This research examines adaptive control strategies for robotic manipulators using Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) through a systematic literature review approach. The main focus of the study is the identification of commonly used DRL algorithms, implementation challenges, and the direction of developing DRL-based adaptive control systems. The study results show that algorithms such as DDPG, SAC, and PPO are effective in addressing the non-linear dynamics and uncertainties of robotic manipulators, both in simulation and real-world environments. However, there are significant challenges such as the need for large training data, the simulation-to-real gap, and the limitations in the interpretability of control policies. The integration of hybrid control strategies, the development of more sample-efficient algorithms, and the application of hierarchical and meta-reinforcement learning have been identified as promising future research directions. This study provides a foundation for the development of more flexible, efficient, and safe robotic control systems to support various industrial applications.
