Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the central issues faced in the integration of technology and collaborative learning in transforming higher education in the 21st century. The research method used is literature review. The findings in this study confirm that technology integration and collaborative learning have great potential in supporting the transformation of higher education, but there are several barriers that need to be overcome. First, the gap in access to technology is still evident among students from various economic and geographical backgrounds. Second, the issue of digital literacy among educators and students, which often does not keep pace with the technological advancements used in learning, requires more intensive and sustainable training programs. Third, data security and privacy issues that arise with the use of digital platforms, requiring stronger policy frameworks and more effective implementation of security technologies. Fourth, challenges in the design of effective assessments to measure collaborative learning outcomes and integrated technologies. This research suggests increased access to technology, better digital literacy training, stronger privacy policies, and the development of new assessment methods as key steps to optimize learning

Abstract

Technology now controls almost all aspects of life, including ELT. One of them is the use of videos in learning, which has many benefits and obstacles. This article aims to determine the effectiveness of using video in ELT learning to improve students' abilities in listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills, as well as find out what obstacles occur during ELT learning using video technology. Qualitative analysis was used in this study, and systematic observation and meta-analysis (PRISMA) was the search strategy. Relevant data collection came from 3 databases, namely Google Scholar, ERIC, and Mendeley with several inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 18 articles being studied. The research results show that using videos in ELT learning provides a positive perception because it can improve basic English language skills and increase self-confidence and  motivation to learn. Apart from its effectiveness, there are also several inhibiting factors such as unstable internet, some students  feeling  uncomfortable,  and  audio  problems  when playing videos during learning

Abstract

In the face of dynamic and competitive labour market demands, education that is oriented towards practical learning outcomes is an inevitable necessity. The Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK) has been identified as a potential approach in preparing students to enter the world of work. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum in improving students' work readiness and identify the challenges faced in the implementation process. The research method used in this study was a literature review. The results show that the Competency-Based Curriculum can significantly improve students' work readiness by integrating competencies relevant to industry needs into the curriculum. This method emphasises the development of practical, critical and analytical skills through project-oriented learning and collaboration with industry. However, results also indicate challenges in resources, educator training, and the need for improved infrastructure and assessment methodologies to support effective implementation of KBK.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PBL) has been recognized as an effective approach to enrich the learning process by providing students with opportunities for in-depth exploration of real-world problems. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of PBL in enhancing students' creativity and innovation. This research examines how PBL can encourage students to develop critical thinking, collaboration and problem-solving skills that are relevant to the needs of today's working world. This study used the literature research method. The results show that PBL is successful in creating a more dynamic learning environment and stimulating student creativity. In many cases, students who engage in project-based learning show significant improvement in terms of the ability to think critically and innovatively. In addition, PBL also encourages the development of important 21st century skills such as teamwork, communication and independence. This study found that one of the keys to the success of PBL in enhancing students' creativity and innovation lies in the ability of educators to provide comprehensive challenges to students and keep them engaged in the learning process. However, challenges such as teacher readiness and limited learning time in some contexts are points that require further attention to maximize the effectiveness of PBL

Abstract

The use of video blogs, or vlogs, as a communication tool in the context of English language teaching has attracted significant attention in educational literature. This research aims to investigate the benefits of vlog integration in improving the effectiveness of English teaching and its impact on the learning process. The literature review method is used to explore and analyze various research that has been carried out in this field. The method used is preferred reporting from systematic review and meta-analitic (PRISMA) method. Findings from literature observations show that the use of vlogs in teaching English can provide significant benefits. One of them is increasing student involvement in the learning process, because videos have a  strong visual appeal and can motivate students to participate actively. In addition, vlogs also facilitate independent learning, because students can access learning materials anytime and anywhere according to their needs. The effectiveness of vlog in teaching English is also seen in improving students' language skills. Video blogging allows students to practice speaking, listening, and comprehension skills in an authentic and engaging context. In addition, vlogs can also be used to teach cultural content and relevant daily life situations in an English language context, thereby helping students to understand and apply the language in real contexts. However, despite the many benefits of vlogs integration in English language teaching, research also highlights several challenges that need to be overcome. For example, the selection of appropriate content, the quality of video production, and the availability of adequate technological resources can be obstacles in implementing vlogs in learning.

Abstract

Finger painting is an activity in science learning that can develop early childhood science literacy. However, the effectiveness of using finger painting is influenced by several factors. This study aims to identify and analyze factors that influence the effectiveness of using finger painting in developing early childhood science literacy. Based on a literature review, there are four main factors that can influence the effectiveness of using finger painting, namely: (1) teacher readiness in designing and implementing finger painting activities that are appropriate to the characteristics of children, (2) availability of materials and tools that support activities, (3) integration of finger painting with other science learning activities, and (4) parental involvement in supporting and continuing activities at home. These factors are interrelated and have an important role in creating effective science learning through the use of finger painting. The findings of this study can be a reference for teachers and related parties in designing and implementing finger painting as a strategy to develop science literacy in early childhood

Abstract

Childhood is a crucial period in developing noble morals in children. Kindergarten Al Irsyad Banyuwangi launched an innovative program called Let's Share Kindness to achieve this goal. This program uses interactive and fun learning methods, encourages children to be active in activities, and gets full support from teachers and parents. This research uses a qualitative case study method to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. The research results show that the Let's Share Goodness program is effective in instilling good values and commendable behavior in accordance with religious teachings in early childhood. This is evidenced by an increase in enthusiasm for learning and playing, a sense of caring and empathy, a sense of gratitude and responsibility, respect and affection, and children's understanding of religious and moral values. Suggestions for increasing the effectiveness of the Let's Share Goodness program are to increase the variety of activities, strengthen cooperation between teachers, parents and the community, empower teachers, and conduct regular program evaluations.
