Abstract

Curriculum as guidance in education is useful for regulating the process of learning activities. The curriculum in higher education, especially at Undhira, is specifically designed to be able to help initiate and accompany all learning activities that are carried out. This can be seen from the seriousness of the institution to provide superior educational services, indeed it is not easy to design a curriculum. The Information System Study Program in this case develops an output-based curriculum as the way out of the MBKM curriculum and also as a form of responsibility to produce competent graduates. During the development process, the ADDIE method is carried out as one of the methods used, which it helps the study program to see in detail and structure so that the resulting curriculum can be used and goes hand in hand with the institution's plans. In addition to the methods used, the study program also looks at the design of the APTIKOM curriculum so that it is noticeable and relevant with the needs of the industrial world

Abstract

Inclusive education has always been understood as an approach to learning about the differences and diversity of learners, providing equal opportunities for everyone to engage in the same learning process. The study in this research uses the literature search method. The findings of the investigation suggest that inclusive learning environments have a significant positive impact on students' social skills development. Among inclusive environments, students tend to show improvement in their ability to follow each other, cooperate and respect diversity. This not only helps in the formation of learners' individual character and values but also enhances their ability to adapt among diverse social situations. In addition, students' learning is positively influenced by an environment that supports the diversity of individual learning styles, enabling them to reach their full academic potential. This study recommends further integration of inclusive education principles in the primary school curriculum, including continuous teacher training and development of supportive resources, as a strategic step in strengthening socialization and learning processes. The implications are expected to help establish an educational ecosystem that is not only inclusive but also enriches students' learning experiences, encouraging them to become holistic, empathetic individuals who are ready to face global challenges.

Abstract

Islamic education management is a structured approach that aims to organize, prepare, implement, and evaluate the education process in the context of Islamic values and principles. The research method used in this study is a literature study. The results reveal that careful and systematic planning, teacher competency development, a comprehensive evaluation approach, and the involvement of parents and the community are the main factors in improving the quality of learning. Good and structured planning includes developing an adaptive and relevant curriculum, so that madrasahs can provide integrated and directed education to meet the needs of students and the demands of the times. Developing teachers' competencies through training and continuing education has proven to be very effective in improving teachers' teaching skills, which in turn improves academic quality and the development of students' Islamic values. A regular evaluation approach helps in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the learning process and outcomes, enabling the madrasah to make necessary adjustments and improvements. Finally, the involvement of parents and the community in the education process at the madrasah provides a comprehensive and integrated support for students, creating an inspiring and supportive learning environment.

Abstract

The use of multimedia technology in teaching English has become one of the most powerful methods to improve students' vocabulary skills at the primary school level. The study conducted in this research uses the literature study method. The results show that multimedia can create a much more interesting and varied learning experience, which in turn facilitates the recall and comprehension of new English words. Through the dynamic interaction provided by multimedia, students can see and hear words in various contexts, which helps to enrich their understanding. Furthermore, the use of multimedia can accelerate the teaching- learning process and increase students' motivation to learn English. Multimedia content is often designed with interesting visual and audio elements and educational games that encourage learning. These features not only make learning more fun, but also create a positive competitive atmosphere, so that students become more actively involved in learning and experience faster vocabulary improvement. However, the successful utilisation of multimedia in English vocabulary learning requires effective integration by teachers and sufficient technological support. Appropriate teaching strategies, along with continuous evaluation of student progress, are key to optimising learning outcomes. Thus, multimedia serves not only as a teaching aid, but also as a core component that can enrich the learning experience and improve student achievement at the primary school level

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of informal education provided by families on children's social and emotional skills. Informal education includes daily interactions, guidance and support provided by parents and other family members. The results show that informal education in the family environment has a significant influence on children's social development, including communication, cooperation and conflict resolution skills. Children learn social norms and interpersonal skills through the example set by family members, which helps them establish harmonious and effective relationships. In addition to social aspects, informal education also plays an important role in children's emotional development. The emotional support and care provided by the family helps children feel safe and valued, which is important for their emotional health. Through parental guidance, children learn to recognize, express and manage their emotions. The family's role in encouraging children to explore their interests and talents also enhances children's self-confidence and self-esteem. Overall, this study underscores that informal education within the family provides a strong foundation for children's social and emotional development, better preparing them to face the challenges of life

Abstract

The concept of atomic structure is a difficult topic to discuss among students and has been one of the teachers’ major concerns for many years. This study was conducted to determine the JHS (Junior High School) science teachers’ perspectives, practices, and challenges in teaching atomic structure in selected public JHS. A survey method was employed, and the quantitative and qualitative results showed that the teacher-respondents had good perspectives, were proficient in the subject matter, and were eager to teach the concept properly. The use of visual aids/models, hand-outs/printed materials, and video lessons/presentations to teach atomic structure is the teachers’ choice and is an invaluable learning material and tool in teaching the atomic structure to JHS students. The main challenges in teaching are the students' low interest and background and the lack of resources and training among teachers on the topic. There is a need for enhanced pedagogical tools, strategies, and skills, as well as training for teachers to support the atomic structure teaching and learning development and progress.

Abstract

As future educators, student-teachers must execute the needed deliverables as instructional implementers. However, many still need help once deployed in their respective cooperating schools due to the strenuous tasks they need to do, especially in selecting, designing, developing, and evaluating learning resources. With that in mind, the primordial intention of the study is to examine the design-based thinking intentions among secondary student- teachers deployed in various secondary schools in the divisions of Bataan and Balanga City and implicate the results to instructional delivery. It specifically examines the profile of student-teachers in terms of sex, area of specialization, and location of cooperating school; determines the design-based thinking intentions of student-teachers in terms of understanding (empathizing and defining), exploring (ideating and prototyping), and materializing (testing and implementing); and determines the implications of the findings to effective instructional delivery. Using the descriptive-developmental design of quantitative research, the data are gathered from 172 out of 199 student-teachers under the College of Education (COEd) who are randomly selected. The primary data-gathering tool used in the study is an adopted survey questionnaire. The quantitative data gathered from the study will be analyzed using descriptive statistics (i.e., frequency count, percentage, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (i.e., T-test and F-test/ANOVA). The results indicate that most respondents are female, majoring in Filipino, English, and Social Studies, and deployed in rural schools. The student- teachers exhibit a high level of design-based thinking intentions across all domains. Also, significant differences are noted in the design-based  thinking  intentions  of  student-teachers  when grouped according to their profile

Abstract

Competency based curriculum (CBC) is a new dispensation in Kenya on its gradual replacement of 8:4:4 System of Education. The first cohort being in Grade Eight, Kenyan public universities seem not to be having measures in place towards its delivery. It is against this backdrop that this paper was purposed to assess the state of preparedness of Kenya’s Public Universities towards delivery of CBC.Specifically the paper sought to establish lecturers’ readiness for implementation of CBC;to establish universities’ infrastructural and curricula material preparedness toward implementation of CBC;to establish whether Kenya’s Public university schools of education are already preparing the teacher trainees towards teaching CBC programs and to establish Faculties’ attitudes towards CBC programs delivery. The study was underpinned by Concern Based Model by Hall et.al (2006). The study explored empirical literature through meta-analytical approach. The study established that: universities are not materially and infrastructural ready for implementation of CBC; That most lecturers are not ready for implementation of CBC; that many public universities are not yet training their teachers towards delivery of CBC programs; That university faculties have positive attitudes toward CBC programs. The findings have implications on universities and other stake holders to prepare lecturers for CBC, university management to look for means within their reach to help in funding and develop CBC curricula materials and infrastructure for its effective delivery, schools of education to develop teacher training curricula with CBC integration.
