Abstract

The role of vocational education in generating employment has been prevalent throughout modern times. However, fewer studies have discussed the development process of vocational teaching materials, from validations to applications. This article contributed to the discussion of the material development and validation in Traditional Wedding Makeup, Solo style’s course in Universitas PGRI Adi Buana, Surabaya, Indonesia. The results of this study supported the applicability and validity of the developed teaching materials. Explicitly, expert designers agreed on the use of contents by 90%, while peer-lecturers concurred by 95%. The result implied the usability and applicability in the classroom.

Abstract

The use of appropriate learning media in kindergarten can develop a variety of children's abilities well, but conversely, if the use of media is less attractive to children, children will quickly get bored and are no longer interested in learning provided by the teacher. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media for doll models that can be used to develop children's expressive language skills in storytelling in accordance with the types of theme activities that exist in kindergarten. This research is a research development that adopts the development stages of Borg and Gall. The results showed that the developed media products were easy for students to use and had a high level of attractiveness.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a digital dictionary and to know the increase in student retention by using digital dictionary. The research is an R&D using a learning Media development model by Lee and Owens, because in this development model has complete flows such as analysis and assessment stages, design stage, development stage, implementation phase, and evaluation phase. The overall validation result of material experts on the digital Media dictionary developed is 92.30% with valid categories. Media expert validation result of the developed digital media dictionary which is 91.67% with valid category. In this study, the bonded variables used were the power of the retention (retention rate) of students against the biological terms contained in the subject matter of plants, animals and humans. In this study, data on student retention rate in 2 weeks was still classified as B (good) with a score of 78.46. Thus, digital media dictionary can increase the ability of student’s retention.

Abstract

Digital teaching materials are one of the main needs in the field of education in this era 4.0. Digital teaching materials continue to be innovated in various forms such as e-modules in learning. Based on the needs, the purpose of this study was to develop e-modules collaborated with PjBL for the subject of basic learning skills. The results of the development of the collaboration between e-modules and PjBL received a good response from experts, educators, and students who were eligible as teaching materials. This development is one form of digital products that bridge current and future learning needs for students for training in using IT in the digital era in learning as prospective educators

Abstract

Nowadays, the development of science and technology have been rapidly developed, including education. To produce learning tools, namely the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) , learning materials, Student Worksheets (LKS), and vector quiz materials based on E-Learning for students of Class X MIPA are the objectives of this study. This product is designed to provide wider opportunities for students without having to limit the time (hours) of learning in class. The development of learning tools in this study is based on the theory of the development of the 4-D, namely; defining. design; development, and dissemination, which in this study the dissemination stage was not carried out. It is necessary to adjust the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) on vector material based on e-learning for students of Class X MIPA

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of blended learning based flipped classroom on study prakarya to class X learning outcomes of Ma'arif Batu Vocational School. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with non-random group selection (Pre-test - Post-test Control Group Design) (Sugiyono, 2014). The data collection technique used is a test technique. The pre-test is done to retrieve a student's initial ability data, while the post-test is conducted to test the effect of treatment. In this study, three statistical tests will be carried out namely, (1) normality test, (2) homogeneity test, (3) hypothesis test. Thus the hypotheses that have been formulated can be proven, namely, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the significance value is 0,000 <0.05 at a significance level of 5% so that it can be concluded that There is an influence of blipped learning based on Flipped Classroom on the subjects of the Prakarya to learning outcomes of Grade X students of the Ma'arif Vocational School.

Abstract

The career development program aimed to guide students to secure employment. This study contributed to the discussion by developing a career development module with character development as guidance of students’ decision making. Sixty students participated in this study, analyzed with a quantitative descriptive method. This study revealed that the design validation was 92%, with 4,6, as good. Content validation was 96% or the average of 4,8 (good). Instrument Validation was also good. Partner validation was 92%, or 4,6 (good). After designing, this study applied the development test. The result revealed the test of a small group to be 88,5%, middle group to be 91,8%, and a big group to be 93,1%. This study concluded the career development module was good for field application and offered precious information to the school counselor, counseling supervisor, and the counselor herself.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the intensity of the use of information and communication technology in education to the learning engagement of Generation Z students. The method used is filling out a questionnaire regarding learning involvement by Generation Z students (n = 108). The result shows that the time period for the first time to recognize and the duration of the use of information and communication technology is negatively correlated with student learning engagement. Meanwhile, the use of information and communication technology aimed at academic interests is positively correlated to student learning engagement. Generation Z students should be able to regulate themselves to be able to utilize information and communication technology for academic purposes.

Abstract

This research applied the brainwriting model learning Management System (LMS)-based on students in class X SMK Ma'arif Kota Batu to prove its effectiveness in learning to write exposition text. The study method used is experimental (Quasi-Experimental Design). The design applied was included in the non-equivalent control group design Posttest Only Control Group Design (POCGD) with a sample of 40 people divided into two groups. X-RPL as an experiment group and X-TO2 as a control group The research instrument applied a written test to measure learning outcomes write essays text exposition. Cronbach's alpha statistic test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Levene Statistics, independent t-test were used in this study. The results of the independent t-test statistic test by 2 assessors showed Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 with the conclusion that is rejected and is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence by the implementation of the LMS-based brainwriting model on the ability to write essays text exposition.

Abstract

The development of information technology has an impact on the education sector. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of electronic learning on student English learning outcomes in vocational high schools. The quasi-experimental research method is used to measure the effect of treatment in learning. The population of research subjects came from students of class XI SMK 5 Surabaya. The results showed that there were differences in the effect of student learning outcomes between classes using e-learning and conventional learning. However, there is no relationship between the learning model and students' initial knowledge of their learning outcomes. The results of this research recommend that teachers combine conventional learning with electronic learning
