Abstract

Space is an area that includes land space, sea space and air space, including space within the earth as a unified territory, where humans and other creatures live, carry out activities and maintain their survival. Increasing population growth has an impact on the economic development of the people of an autonomous region who will undoubtedly utilize space that is considered strategic to support their economic activities. The complexity of development growth in Indonesia requires priority development programs and plans in various aspects or fields, but this development must not conflict with the fifth principle of Pancasila, namely social justice for all Indonesian. There is no consistency in implementing regulations, especially in enforcing laws related to spatial planning, which results in inappropriate development growth which impacts the surrounding environment, and green open space becoming increasingly narrow.

Abstract

This paper explores the significant roles and influences in the development of responsible technology use and the impact of digital citizenship on the quality of learning within civic education. It begins by hypothesizing that universities play a pivotal role as the primary influencers in shaping an individual's character towards responsible technology usage. The paper emphasizes the need for empirical evidence or authoritative references to substantiate this assertion, thereby highlighting the crucial role of universities in this context. The study then presents statistical evidence indicating a significant relationship between digital citizenship and learning quality in civic education, as highlighted by a t count (14,510) surpassing the t table (1.66) with a significance level of 0.000, lower than the 0.05 threshold. This finding necessitates the backing of its statistical analysis through credible academic sources. Lastly, the paper posits that enhancing digital citizenship will positively influence the quality of learning in civic education, suggesting that this claim should be supported by research or literature in the field. The paper underscores the need for well-supported arguments in discussing the role of university education, digital citizenship, and their impacts on learning quality.

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the background of coastal communities in North Bali to develop texts on preserving coastal and marine resources. It also explored the various forms of social capital that are instrumental in the preservation of these resources, the process of dissemination of preservation texts, the social control mechanisms that maintain the stability of social capital and the preservation of beaches and seas, and the profound meaning of the social capital text it develops. This study used a qualitative approach. It revealed that coastal communities developed coastal and marine resource preservation texts driven by an awareness of the coast and sea as living spaces. The forms of social capital it develops are expressions, stories/myths, agreements, and social groups. The existence of social capital for coastal communities is not just a concept but a powerful force that functions in the preservation of coastal and marine resources. The text socialisation process involves family, dadia, banjar, organisations, and educational institutions. The mechanism of social control developed is from below and above, in an abstract sense, by involving various institutions. Developed social capital is meaningful for the harmonious relationship between humans and nature, humans with humans, humans with God, and the sustainability of the lives of coastal communities in North Bali.

Abstract

This research delves into the topic of national defense among college students and aims to uncover new and effective ways to integrate Civic Education to enhance students' national defense capabilities in the digital age. The study employs a mixed-method approach with a concurrent triangulation design. Through interviews with Civic educators, it became apparent that students lacked engagement with and enthusiasm for the subject matter. Quantitative data analysis revealed that while students exhibited a strong awareness of and patriotism for their country, they faced challenges in illustrating how their skills and competencies could be utilized to advance the nation. To address these issues, suggestions for innovative learning techniques included integrating a service-learning approach and incorporating online learning methods.

Abstract

The development of technology and the world of education today requires complex thinking. Technology can be used to make the learning process easier, more interesting, and more enjoyable. However, learning must continue to focus on the elements of competency achievement that must be achieved and the humanist element. The blended learning model with synchronous and asynchronous systems is one model that can be used in today's technology-based learning era, especially asynchronous systems.  This study aims to determine the effectiveness of asynchronous learning in increasing the students' civic responsibility at one of the universities in Bandung City. Experiments in research are considered more appropriate for answering the research objectives. The research subjects were students of the environmental engineering study program (experimental class) and food engineering study program (control class). The results showed that asynchronous learning was more effective for increasing students' civic responsibility, with an average post-test score of 91.50.

Abstract

This article examines the shift in customary inheritance in the Batak community that migrated to Yogyakarta. Traditionally, among the Batak people, the patrilineal system is a cultural heritage still preserved today. The enactment of the patrilineal system is one of the causes of the unequal position of Batak women's inheritance rights because only men have the right to become heirs. Interaction with people of different ethnicities, customs, and customs in overseas places not only expands the horizons of Batak nomads but also allows them to change their point of view so that leaving the roots of Batak customs will be inevitable. Until now, some Batak nomads still make boys as heirs, but it is undeniable that there is a mixture of heterogeneous communities in overseas areas that can give rise to a shift in the views of Batak nomads so that they become more open, such as accepting women as heirs with different parts. Equalizing the position between men and women through the division of inheritance indicates a shift in Batak inheritance customs that apply in the environment of the migrants. The emergence of the balance of position between men and women in the implementation of inheritance increasingly shows that the non-maintenance of customary rules that do not give inheritance rights to women is not solely preserving the identity of the Batak Toba people overseas. However, it should be suspected as one of the dynamics that emerged in the settlement of heritage by Toba Batak nomads.

Abstract

This study delves into the geographical indication regulations for Klungkung Endek and Songket craft products to ensure legal protection for weaving craftsmen. It is a type of normative legal research employing statutory and conceptual approaches, supported by primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. Data collection techniques include document study, observation, and interviews, and research analysis involves legal interpretation, which is then described qualitatively. The research findings indicate that Geographical Indication products can enhance regional economic capacity and, as such, must be safeguarded from irresponsible producers' claims practices. The challenges faced by craftsmen are primarily associated with the procedures for registering geographical indication products. Urgent efforts are underway to anticipate issues related to several claims concerning Endek and Songket motifs. The Regional Government of Klungkung Regency, through the Cooperatives and MSMEs Service, is actively providing education to Endek and Songket craftsmen regarding the significance of registering regional products as Geographical Indication Rights with the Director General of Intellectual Property Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. This education encompasses workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one consultations to assist craftsmen throughout the registration process.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the constitutional rights of citizens through constitutional complaints based on the authority of the Constitutional Court from the perspective of Constitutional Law. Types of normative juridical research with a statutory, conceptual, and case approach. The data sources used are primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. The research results show that constitutional complaints as the authority of the Constitutional Court have become an urgent need to be enforced in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The authority for constitutional complaints to the Constitutional Court is eliminated, the legal implication of which is to create protection for the human rights of Indonesian citizens from actions by government officials or individuals who injure citizens' human rights and recognition of the Constitution. The Court as an institution has the authority to submit constitutional complaints to the Constitutional Court. Authorised institution. Guardian of the Constitution. The Constitutional Court protects the constitutional rights of citizens if their constitutional rights are violated by the provisions of the law so that the law is then declared to be contrary to the Constitution. The possibility of violations of citizens' constitutional rights does not only occur through normative provisions in law. There are many ways and opportunities for citizens' constitutional rights violations, whether by the authorities or other parties. This is where we learn the importance of the Constitutional Complaints mechanism at the Constitutional Court.
