Abstract

The primary objective of this paper is to effect of the use of Financial Technology (FinTech) and Social Media on Increasing MSME Income in Sidoarjo. With the existence of Financial Technology, it will be easier to manage finances and make transactions, while Social Media has an important role in marketing and branding. A quantitative research approach was used for this investigation. Primary data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 30 participating MSMEs in Sidoarjo Regency. The data obtained will be analyzed using the SPSS 24 application to. Research results reveal that Financial Technology and Social Media simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on increasing MSME income, where FinTech can increase the efficiency of transactions and financial management and Social Media has a greater impact on increasing market reach, as evidenced by the t-count value of 32.585> t table, which is 3.354 and sig. value of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the Corruption Perception Index (CPI), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and economic growth in Indonesia over the period 2004-2024. In this study, a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) approach is used to examine the short-run and long-run relationships between the variables involved. The study found that in the short-run and long-run,CPI has a significant effect on Indonesia's economic growth, while FDI shows no significant effect. The Granger causality test revealed a one-way causality relationship, where economic growth affects CPI and FDI, but not vice versa. In the perspective of Islamic economics, this study emphasizes that economic growth should not only be oriented towards quantitative aspects, but also pay attention to qualitative aspects based on the values of justice, blessings, and sustainability, with the aim of equitable distribution of wealth for the benefit of the entire community.

Abstract

This study aims to measure and identify how economic growth, human development index and poverty affect the level in 6 Provinces of Sulawesi Island in the Islamic Economic Perspective for 2019-2024”. The type of research used in this study uses a quantitative approach with a panel data analysis method. Data were obtained through the Central Statistics Agency and analyzed using the t-test and f-test to determine each independent variable against the dependent, namely the unemployment rate. The results of the study showed that the Economic Growth, Human Development Index and Poverty variables together had a significant effect on the unemployment rate in 6 provinces of Sulawesi Island. This can be seen from the large F-Statistic, namely 7.503053> F table, namely 2.90112 and a significant value of 0.000614 <0.05%, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the conclusion above which shows that the three x variables affect the y variable, the Sulawesi Island Government is expected to pay more attention to Economic Growth. Because through good economic growth, it can open up new company productions so that job opportunities are opened which can ultimately reduce the high unemployment rate.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources (HR) to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in the learning process. Madrasah Aliyah Almusdariyah 2 Kota Cimahi, as an educational institution, is committed to enhancing the quality of its teaching staff through various human resource development programs. This study aims to examine the implementation of HR development programs in improving the performance of educators at MA Almusdariyah 2 Kota Cimahi. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this research, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that HR development at MA Almusdariyah 2 is carried out through training provided by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, professional development programs, as well as external seminars and training. The implementation of these programs has had a positive impact on the performance of educators, particularly in improving technology-based teaching methods and increasing active participation in school activities.

Abstract

One of the challenges faced by sea transportation in Indonesia in supporting national and global economic growth is the high operational costs of ship agency services and berthing costs during the clearance in and out process at ports. This issue impacts reduced profitability and increased operational expenses for ship agency companies. This study aims to determine the influence of berthing costs and operational costs on the clearance in and out process of ships. The research was conducted using a quantitative method and analyzed with SPSS version 27. The results indicate that berthing costs and operational costs significantly affect the clearance in and out process. Partially, berthing costs contribute 18.8%, while operational costs contribute 55.6% to the clearance in and out process.

Abstract

The ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) era has driven a paradigm shift in the business world, where sustainability is a major factor in corporate strategy. This research aims to examine the role of sustainability accounting in realizing sustainable business amidst the increasing ESG demands. Sustainability accounting functions not only as a reporting tool, but also as a decision-making instrument that takes into account environmental, social, and corporate governance impacts. Through a qualitative approach with literature study and case analysis, this research shows that the integration of sustainability accounting principles into a company's financial system can improve transparency, accountability, and long-term value. In addition, sustainability accounting helps companies identify ESG-related risks and opportunities, thereby increasing competitiveness in the global market. The implementation of sustainability accounting also strengthens relationships with stakeholders through more comprehensive and reliable reporting. The results of this study confirm that sustainability accounting is an important foundation in building resilient, innovative and responsible businesses in the ESG era. Going forward, the role of sustainability accounting will be increasingly strategic in driving business transformation towards a greener and more inclusive economy.

Abstract

This abstract discusses the role of the Medan City Government in developing the people's economy through public policy and community empowerment. The background of this study is based on the importance of strengthening the community-based economy as the main strategy in facing global economic challenges and improving citizen welfare. The study aims to analyze how public policies implemented and community empowerment efforts by the city government are able to encourage the growth of the people's economy in Medan. The method used is qualitative with a literature review approach, namely examining various sources of literature such as journals, books, and relevant policy documents. The research findings show that the Medan City Government has initiated various empowerment programs, such as entrepreneurship training, facilitating access to capital, and strengthening local economic institutions. However, there are challenges in terms of cross-sector coordination and limited resources. The implications of this study emphasize the need for synergy between the government, society, and the private sector to create an inclusive and sustainable people's economy ecosystem, as well as the importance of continuous evaluation and policy innovation to strengthen community empowerment at the local level.

Abstract

This study is titled "Analysis of Ship Service Performance Standards at Terminal Mirah, Port of Tanjung Perak" and employs a descriptive quantitative method. The aim of the research is to analyze the achievement of ship service performance in 2024 compared to 2023, as well as to identify improvement measures undertaken by the Main Office of Harbormaster and Port Authority of Tanjung Perak. The results show that overall, there was an improvement in several key indicators such as Waiting Time, Approach Time, non-containerized cargo services, containerized cargo services, and the utilization of port facilities and equipment. This improvement was driven by regular evaluations, enhanced inter-agency coordination, and the utilization of digital technology in monitoring activities. However, the ship service performance indicator experienced a significant decline, from 59.22% in 2023 to 51.22% in 2024. This decline was caused by several factors, including delays in cargo readiness due to warehouses not operating 24 hours, weather disruptions, the diversity of cargo types, ship equipment malfunctions, and delays in laboratory processing for liquid bulk cargo. In response to these conditions, the Main Office of Harbormaster and Port Authority of Tanjung Perak has taken strategic corrective actions, including comprehensive evaluations, enhanced coordination with stakeholders, strengthening real-time monitoring, accelerating laboratory services, and promoting operational efficiency on the ground. Through these efforts, it is expected that the ship service performance standards at Terminal Mirah will once again meet the established targets.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelagic country, has a strategic maritime territory, making sea transportation the primary mode for supporting national economic activities. Gresik Port, as one of the key ports in the Madura Strait region, plays a vital role in supporting logistics activities, particularly through Berlian Manyar Sejahtera (BMS) Terminal, which focuses on dry bulk and general cargo operations. With the increasing volume of cargo handled, there is a need to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of operational productivity. To address this challenge, the Pelindo Terminal Operating System Multipurpose (PTOS-M) was implemented, integrating real-time management of terminal operations. This study aims to analyze the impact of PTOS-M implementation on loading and unloading productivity at Berlian Manyar Sejahtera Terminal and to formulate recommendations for improving system effectiveness and efficiency. A quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis using SPSS v16 was employed, involving 35 respondents consisting of operational staff, service users, and LALA KSOP Class II Gresik employees. The results indicate that PTOS-M implementation has a positive and significant effect on loading and unloading productivity, suggesting that optimizing the PTOS-M system can enhance the operational effectiveness and efficiency of cargo handling activities at Gresik Port.

Abstract

The government plays an important role in ensuring the' seaworthiness requirements' for navigation. In this context, the KSOP is tasked with monitoring and supervising ship safety certificates issuance to ensure that ships meet the necessary standards. A ship safety certificate is a crucial document that guarantees the seaworthiness and safety of a vessel, serving as a mandatory requirement for any operating ship. With the digitalization era, administrative processes in services have become more efficient. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Shipping and Seafaring Management Information System (SIMKAPEL) in the issuance of cargo ship safety certificates at the Special Port Authority and Harbormaster Office (KSOP) of Batam. Previously, the certificate issuance service was conducted manually and frequently encountered obstacles such as processing delays and administrative errors. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that three months after the implementation of SIMKAPEL, there was an increase in the number of certificates issued. In addition to improving efficiency, the system also positively impacted service transparency and accountability. However, several challenges were identified, including users' limited digital literacy, technical disruptions, and internal adaptation processes. This study recommends improving infrastructure capacity, providing digital training to officers and service users to support the optimalization of SIMKAPEL. Overall, SIMKAPEL contributes positively to the digital transformation of public services in the maritime sector.
