Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying has been a problem in almost every school, and many factors have been attributed to someone becoming a victim of bullying. The intimidation that occurs to victims of bullying has a negative impact on many facet of their live, one of which is a decrease in academic achievement due to lack of motivation. Achievement motivation is required by every student to accomplish academic tasks and achieve set goals, especially victims of bullying who have low achievement motivation. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Solution-Focused Brief Counseling approach to increase the achievement motivation of students who are victims of bullying at SMP Negeri 35 Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative approach adopting pre-test post-test control group research design. The research participants comprised 6 students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 35 Surabaya who were selected using simple random sampling technique which were then divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Data collection was carried out using a scale instrument for bullying victims and achievement motivation which had been tested for validity and reliability. This study consisted of 3 treatment meeting sessions and 2 test sessions, namely pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed a significant increase in achievement motivation of bullying victims in the experimental group compared to the control group (0.046 < 0.05). So it can be concluded that individual counseling with the Solution-Focused Brief Counseling approach has proven effective in increasing the achievement motivation of bullying victims. Solution-focused brief counseling can be an option for school counselors to increase the achievement motivation of students who are victims of bullying.

Abstract

Schizophrenia, a chronic mental health condition, is often compounded by social stigma and discrimination, which can significantly affect the well-being of individuals diagnosed with the disorder. This study explores the impact of negative social experiences and responses to discrimination on the self-esteem of individuals with schizophrenia, a population often affected by social stigma that harms their psychological well-being. Using a quantitative correlational design, the study aimed to analyze the relationship between these variables. The research was conducted in 2023 at the Adult Polyclinic RSJ Prof. HB Saanin Padang, involving 341 schizophrenia patients. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire that assessed negative social experiences, responses to discrimination, and self-esteem, with data analyzed using Pearson's correlation test. The results indicated a significant relationship between both negative social experiences (r = 0.032 p < 0.05) and responses to discrimination (r = 0.045, p < 0.05) with self-esteem. These findings contribute to the growing body of literature on stigma and self-esteem in schizophrenia, highlighting the detrimental effects of social discrimination on mental health. Based on these results, it is recommended that psychological interventions for schizophrenia sufferers incorporate strategies to reduce stigma and address discrimination, which could improve their self-esteem and overall quality of life.

Abstract

Social interaction plays a crucial role in supporting successful aging, particularly among elderly individuals with chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and heart disease. This study aims to analyze the impact of social interaction on successful aging among elderly people visiting the Andalas Health Center in Padang City. A causal-comparative design with a cross-sectional approach was used, involving 266 elderly individuals who visited the health center between May and June 2023. Data were collected using a Likert-based questionnaire measuring social interaction and successful aging. The results of the correlation test reveal that various aspects of social interaction positively influence dimensions of successful aging, including lifestyle, physical health, and mental health. Participation in social activities had the highest correlation with lifestyle (0.60) and physical health (0.48), while close social relationships correlated positively with lifestyle (0.49), physical health (0.33), and mental health (0.35). Furthermore, satisfaction with social support had the greatest impact on mental health (0.49), followed by physical health (0.39) and lifestyle (0.44), emphasizing the importance of both active social participation and feeling supported in maintaining overall well-being. These findings suggest that enhancing social interaction, particularly through community engagement and strong interpersonal relationships, is a significant factor in improving the quality of life and supporting successful aging, especially for elderly individuals with chronic conditions. Therefore, community-based interventions and health programs that promote social participation and strengthen social support networks are recommended to foster healthier aging.

Abstract

Stunting remains a serious public health issue in Indonesia, including in Karangmuncang Village, Cigandamekar District, Kuningan Regency. One potential solution to this nutritional problem is increasing the consumption of plant-based foods, such as tempeh. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational module based on tempeh nuggets in increasing plant-based protein consumption among housewives with children under five in Karangmuncang. The research used a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test, involving 60 randomly selected respondents. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire with five main sections: demographic data (age, education, employment, number of children, family income), knowledge about plant-based foods (definition, sources, benefits, and their role in preventing stunting), attitudes toward plant-based consumption (confidence, willingness to try tempeh, and perception of food variety), plant-based consumption behavior (frequency, processing method, and frequency of cooking tempeh), and acceptance of tempeh nuggets (interest, taste assessment, routine consumption plan, and perception of benefits). After four weeks of educational intervention, data were analyzed using the paired T-test for knowledge, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test for attitudes and acceptance, and the Chi-Square test for tempeh consumption behavior. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge, attitudes, consumption behavior, and acceptance of tempeh nuggets (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that the educational module effectively increases awareness and adoption of plant-based protein foods in the community. Future research should involve larger sample sizes, extended intervention periods, and explore other factors influencing behavior change.

Abstract

Trias UKS, mencakup Pendidikan Kesehatan, Pelayanan Kesehatan, dan Pembinaan Lingkungan Sehat, merupakan strategi penting untuk mempromosikan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di sekolah. Namun, implementasinya sering menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan rendahnya koordinasi antara sekolah dan puskesmas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model kolaborasi antara sekolah dan puskesmas untuk meningkatkan implementasi Trias UKS sesuai pedoman nasional. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method dengan desain studi kasus multipel di lima sekolah (3 SD, 2 SMP) dan tiga puskesmas di Kabupaten Seluma. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei kuesioner, wawancara mendalam, FGD, dan observasi fasilitas sekolah. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dan kualitatif untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan, peluang, dan strategi implementasi Trias UKS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hambatan utama mencakup keterbatasan fasilitas UKS, kurangnya integrasi pendidikan kesehatan, dan koordinasi yang belum optimal. Faktor keberhasilan meliputi koordinasi yang lebih baik, pembagian peran yang jelas, dan dukungan sumber daya. Model kolaborasi yang dikembangkan menawarkan pendekatan praktis untuk meningkatkan efektivitas implementasi Trias UKS. Kesimpulannya, model ini mampu menjawab berbagai kendala implementasi Trias UKS dengan pendekatan terstruktur dan berkelanjutan. Peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk menguji model ini melalui pendekatan longitudinal dan pengukuran dampak jangka panjang terhadap kesehatan siswa.

Abstract

Manajemen pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) adalah proses penyelenggaraan PAUD untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan yaitu membantu anak berkembang secara optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang memberikan kontribusi untuk mengeksplorasi praktik manajemen di PAUD IT Khalifah Tasyikuri, di Kabupaten Kaur, Bengkulu, Indonesia, dan tantangan masa depannya. Sumber data adalah kepala sekolah, pendidik, dan wali murid. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui penggalian data, reduksi data, penyajian hasil, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan PAUD telah sistematis, kurikulum mengakomodasi minat dan gaya belajar individu, dan integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Penyelenggaraan PAUD menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif bagi perkembangan anak, termasuk pengaturan spasial yang menarik, merangsang, dan bervariasi untuk merangsang kreativitas anak. Pelaksanaan PAUD berfokus pada pembelajaran yang memungkinkan anak memilih kegiatan sesuai dengan minat dan kebutuhannya dan melibatkan kegiatan pengasuhan. Supervisi kolaboratif, sistem penilaian formatif dan autentik, berfokus pada proses pembelajaran dan perkembangan anak secara individu, dan pengamatan perilaku anak dalam berbagai situasi. Temuan tersebut memberikan kontribusi bahwa praktik manajemen PAUD yang dibutuhkan di masa depan harus memenuhi beberapa indikator, yaitu: perencanaan sistematis, kurikulum adaptif, organisasi yang merangsang kreativitas, implementasi kontekstual, pendekatan pengasuhan, penguatan pendidikan karakter, literasi digital, dan supervisi kolaboratif berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi pengembangan model implementasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang berkelanjutan dan adaptif dalam administrasi pendidikan, serta potensi penggunaannya di masa depan. Dengan menggunakan tinjauan sistematis terhadap 40 artikel dari database Scopus (2014–2024), penelitian ini menganalisis tren, tantangan, dan peluang penerapan AI. AI telah terbukti meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi melalui manajemen data, prediksi kinerja, dan alokasi sumber daya. Namun, keberhasilannya memerlukan sistem adaptif yang dapat beradaptasi dengan perubahan kebijakan, teknologi, dan kebutuhan pendidikan. Temuan utama dalam penelitian ini mencakup pentingnya integrasi aspek sosial, budaya, dan kebijakan untuk memastikan implementasi AI yang efektif dan etis. Tantangan signifikan meliputi perlindungan privasi data, etika algoritma, serta resistensi terhadap perubahan. Solusi yang disarankan mencakup pengembangan regulasi perlindungan data, pelatihan literasi digital bagi tenaga kependidikan, dan model implementasi berbasis umpan balik. Hasil penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya pengembangan model implementasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) yang berkelanjutan dan adaptif dalam administrasi pendidikan. AI memiliki potensi besar untuk mendukung tugas-tugas administratif seperti manajemen data, prediksi kinerja, dan alokasi sumber daya. Namun, keberhasilan jangka panjang penerapannya tergantung pada kemampuan sistem AI untuk beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan dan kebutuhan pendidikan. Penelitian ini juga menyoroti perlunya integrasi aspek sosial, budaya, dan kebijakan untuk memastikan implementasi AI yang efektif dan etis, serta pentingnya regulasi yang melindungi privasi dan keamanan data. Model AI yang diterapkan harus fleksibel, berorientasi pada umpan balik, dan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi serta transparansi dalam manajemen pendidikan, sehingga dapat mendukung pelaksanaan administrasi Pendidikan secara lebih optimal dan mendukung tercapainya tujuan pendidikan nasional yang berkualitas, adaptif, inovatif dan inklusif.

Abstract

The development of student character in integrated Islamic schools, which combine the Muslim personality-oriented Islamic Education Curriculum with the National Curriculum for behavioral assessment on report cards, is of paramount importance. This article focuses on the building of a practical and effective web-based character report card for elementary school children. This research utilized the 4 D methodology of Research & Development (R&D), including define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research findings on the development of e-report applications indicated a validity assessment by media professionals, yielding a score of 85.75%, categorizing it as highly practical. Evaluate the product's practicality with the t-test, which revealed that inputting values in the e-report application was more efficient than manual entry. The effectiveness is evidenced by the teacher's response, which garnered a positive evaluation with a score of 85.60%, categorizing it as very good. Utilizing web-based e-reports for processing assessments aids educators in effectively managing practical character behavior report scores for each assessment indicator description.

Abstract

Perkembangan moral remaja menjadi isu penting terkait dengan tantangan degradasi moral pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama, seperti perilaku tidak disiplin yang meningkat. Saat disekolah, guru bimbingan dan konseling adakalanya akan melakukan identifikasi masalah, salah satunya dengan menggunakan Daftar Cek Masalah (DCM) untuk menemukan dan memahami masalah pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Ada berbagai masalah yang dapat diidentifikasi salah satunya adalah perkembangan moral. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi tahapan perkembangan moral siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama, dengan menggunakan dasar teori Kohlberg. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Responden penelitian ini adalah 6 siswa dari kelas VII, VIII, dan IX di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama swasta di Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan tematik dan validasi menggunakan triangulasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa siswa pada tahap perkembangan moral prakonvensional, menunjukkan perilaku seperti mematuhi aturan sekolah dan memiliki persepsi tentang keuntungan pribadi yang diterima dari tindakan moral yang dilakukan. Pada level konvensional ditunjukkan oleh perilaku konformitas sosial dan sudah memiliki tanggung jawab terhadap norma sosial. Penelitian ini di harapkan dapat memberikan gambaran perkembangan moral siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama dan sebagai dasar untuk membuat program bimbingan konseling yang mendukung perkembangan moral siswa, serta pada kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih menekankan pada nilai-nilai moral di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Ifdil Perceptual Light Technique (IPLT) combined with Qur'anic verses in enhancing clients' mental and spiritual balance. The research employs a case study approach with qualitative methods, involving in-depth interviews and observations of six participants, consisting of two therapy experts and four clients from Padang and Pekanbaru. Data analysis was conducted using NVivo software to identify relevant key themes. The study results revealed seven main themes, including the integration of spirituality and IPLT technology, the role of sensory elements in therapy, client responses to the therapy, success in mental and spiritual recovery, challenges in implementation, personalized therapy based on client needs, and perspectives on the future of holistic therapy. The key findings indicate that integrating IPLT with Qur'anic verses can help reduce anxiety levels, enhance spiritual connection, and create a deeper therapeutic experience. However, the study also highlights challenges in balancing technological and spiritual elements, as well as the importance of personalizing sensory elements such as light intensity and sound for each client. The implications of this study include the development of technology-based therapies tailored to clients' spiritual values, as well as recommendations for counseling services to create more holistic and inclusive approaches. These findings are particularly relevant for communities with strong cultural and religious backgrounds, such as those in Padang and Pekanbaru.
