Abstract

This study is motivated by the theoretical approach and the suboptimal internalization of Christian values, which affects students' academic achievement. The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of Christian learning management and classroom management, both partially and simultaneously, on students' academic achievement. The research uses a quantitative associative approach with proportionate stratified random sampling, involving 253 students from four study programs at the Faculty of Christian Education Science, IAKN Manado. The instrument used is a Likert-scale questionnaire tested for validity (r count > 0.294) and reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha 0.913 and 0.858), along with data from GPA. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS 25 after passing classical assumption tests. The results show that both Christian learning management (t=14.885; p<0.001) and classroom management (t=14.990; p<0.001) significantly influence academic achievement, with both variables contributing 63.8% (F=219.851; R²=0.638) to the students' academic performance. These findings highlight the importance of effective management in both learning and classroom settings. The practical implication is the need for faculty to enhance their ability to manage learning and classrooms holistically. Future studies should explore additional variables that influence academic achievement and use a longitudinal design.

Abstract

This study employed a qualitative single-case study design to examine the effectiveness of short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy (STPP) in improving emotion regulation in a young adult client with a history of mother–child relational conflict. The participant was a 24-year-old woman experiencing emotional instability associated with unresolved childhood relational trauma. Data were collected through structured observation, in-depth interviews, psychological tests, and standardized questionnaires administered before and after the intervention. Observation and interviews were used to explore emotional patterns and relational dynamics, while psychological tests and questionnaires provided measurable indicators of emotion regulation and parent–child relationship quality. The primary focus of the intervention was emotion regulation, while mother–child relational problems were treated as contributing background factors rather than the main treatment target. Data analysis was conducted by comparing pre- and post-intervention assessment results and integrating qualitative changes observed across therapy sessions. The intervention consisted of 16 sessions of STPP.The results indicated measurable improvements in emotion regulation and perceived parent–child relationship quality, supported by increased post-intervention assessment scores and observable behavioral changes, including improved emotional control, more adaptive emotional responses, and improved sleep patterns. This study contributes to the limited literature on the application of STPP for emotion regulation difficulties in young adults with relational trauma histories. However, findings are limited by the single-case design and reliance on short-term outcome measures. Further research using comparative or longitudinal designs is recommended to strengthen generalizability.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a work redesign at PT Astra Gemilang Abadi (PT AGA) in Sidoarjo to address the gap between the company’s strategic goals and daily operations. The main issue examined is how unclear job descriptions affect employee performance and organizational efficiency. The study explores how job redesign can align individual tasks with PT AGA's vision, mission, and strategic goals. A descriptive quantitative approach, utilizing job characteristics theory and the RACI matrix, was used to analyze and redesign job descriptions for key positions. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations to assess the effectiveness of the redesign. The findings indicate that a structured and relevant job design, coupled with improved internal communication, can enhance employee motivation, increase operational efficiency, and reduce turnover rates. Furthermore, involving employees in the redesign process positively impacts job satisfaction and engagement. The redesign focused on operational staff and management, ensuring their tasks were better aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. This research contributes to human resource development by extending job characteristics theory and offering practical insights into how job redesign can improve organizational performance. The study emphasizes the importance of clear, measurable performance indicators to support productivity and long-term growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Guidance and Counseling (GC) services to the psychological and social well-being of elementary school students, encompassing emotional aspects, the quality of social relationships, and adaptability. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. The sample consisted of 120 students in grades IV-VI across three public elementary schools in Bandung, selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Research instruments included the Student Psychological Well-Being Scale and the Perception of GC Services Scale, which were previously validated. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product-Moment correlation. The research results demonstrated a significant positive relationship between the quality of GC services and the level of students' psychological well-being (r = 0.401; p < 0.01). Based on Guilford's criteria, this value is classified as a moderate correlation, indicating that GC services play an important role although other external factors also have an influence. These findings indicate that the optimal implementation of GC services can strengthen students' abilities in managing emotions and building healthy social relationships. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educational practitioners to reinforce the strategic role of Guidance and Counseling at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Abstract

Despite recent declines in prevalence, malnutrition and stunting remain persistent public health challenges in Indonesia. While existing studies on school feeding programs largely emphasize nutritional outcomes, they have given limited attention to how frontline actors translate policy into everyday practice. Addressing this gap, this study analyzes how street-level bureaucrats exercise discretion, negotiate structural constraints, and develop coping strategies in implementing the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program in Magelang City and Magelang Regency. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, nutritionists, cooks, distribution drivers, and school staff, complemented by field observations. The data were coded thematically using key dimensions of Street-Level Bureaucracy as analytical categories, including discretion, resource constraints, coping practices, and social relations. The findings reveal that implementation is shaped not only by formal guidelines but also by localized adaptations. Teachers serve in dual roles as educators and informal nutrition supervisors, while cooks make creative adjustments to menu composition and portioning to ensure continuity despite limited facilities and fluctuating supplies. Frontline actors also employ social accountability mechanisms through close interaction with parents and local communities to sustain compliance and trust. These practices demonstrate how discretion operates as both a managerial necessity and a source of innovation. The study contributes to theory by extending Street-Level Bureaucracy to a developing-country context, highlighting how social accountability and collective coping practices shape policy outcomes beyond individual discretion. Practically, the findings inform policy refinement through targeted investments in facilities, streamlined administrative procedures, and adaptive menu planning to strengthen program sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of AR-assisted science learning with a STEM approach in improving students' HOTS compared to conventional learning. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a Pretest–Posttest Control Group involving two classes: an experimental class (AR-STEM) and a control class (conventional). The instruments consisted of a HOTS test (domains C4–C6), an engagement observation sheet, and a student response questionnaire. The results showed an average HOTS posttest score of 82.23 for the experimental class compared to 67.09 for the control class; The average N-Gain value in the experimental class was 0.64 (medium-high category according to learning criteria), while the control class was 0.36 (medium-low category). The independent samples t-test showed a significant difference in the posttest score and N-Gain (p < 0.001). This quantitative finding is supported by very positive student responses (average > 3.50) in the aspects of media attractiveness, ease of use, learning engagement, and perception of HOTS improvement. Interpretation of the results: the increase in N-Gain from 0.36 to 0.64 in the experimental group indicates a meaningful learning change, namely an increase in higher-order thinking skills in a range of effects that are practically substantial, not just statistically significant. The highly significant difference (p < 0.001) strengthens the finding that the integration of AR with the STEM approach not only increases engagement, but also encourages the development of students' analytical, evaluation, and creative skills more effectively than conventional methods. These findings are consistent with the idea that AR provides visual representations and real interactions for exploring scientific phenomena, while the STEM approach structures activities that require critical thinking and integrated problem-solving—a complementary combination to build HOTS. In conclusion, AR-STEM learning is an effective and contextual strategic alternative to increase HOTS, engagement, and learning motivation in science learning, and is relevant to the demands of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

The pursuit of economic growth often generates environmental pressures, particularly within the hospitality sector, which is highly dependent on environmental quality. This study investigates the role of eco-enzymes in enhancing economic growth through environmental sustainability as a mediating mechanism in the hotel industry in Sumatra, Indonesia. This study adopts a quantitative explanatory research design using survey data collected from 615 general managers and duty managers of three- to five-star hotels across Sumatra. The data were analyzed using SPSS 26 through descriptive statistics, validity and reliability testing, classical assumption tests, and multiple regression analysis to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings reveal that eco-enzyme adoption does not have a significant direct effect on economic growth. However, eco-enzymes have a significant positive effect on environmental sustainability, which in turn positively and significantly influences economic growth. These results confirm the mediating role of environmental sustainability, indicating that the economic benefits of eco-enzymes are realized indirectly through improved environmental performance rather than immediate financial outcomes. The study provides important practical implications for hotel managers and policymakers. Eco-enzyme adoption should be viewed as a strategic sustainability investment that strengthens environmental performance, enhances operational efficiency, and supports long-term economic growth. These findings contribute to the growing literature on sustainable hospitality management by empirically demonstrating the importance of environmental sustainability as a pathway linking green innovation to economic performance.
