This study aims to compare the students’ self-confidence between special classes (full day class) and regular classes. The method used is a quantitative study with a comparative study as a research design. The research subjects were 90 students, 30 students form special class and 60 students from regular class. The results of this study have provided an overview of the differences between special classes and regular classes affecting the level of student confidence where students in special classes have high self-confidence compared to students in regular classes. And it can be concluded that self-confidence is formed and develops through the learning process in one's interactions with the environment so that class differences make different levels of student confidence.

This study aims to analyze the difference in the average learning outcomes between pre-test and post-test, analyze the effect of HOTS training on teacher professional competence. This research method is quasi-experimental using a quantitative approach. The research sample was 35 elementary school teachers. Data collection in this study using the test method. The design used was one group pre-test post-test design which was analyzed using paired t-test. Hypothesis test results show that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes between the pre-test and post-test, there is a significant effect of HOTS training on the professional competence of teachers. There are still many variables that can be explored to further optimize the formation of policy framework models and theoretical frameworks to improve teacher professional competence.

Education is a significant factor to shape human beings as a whole. The ability to think for humans plays an important role to develop information. The issue of lack of ability to think critically in Sahida Lemah Abang Vocational High School needed to be addressed. One learning model that can be utilized to guide students to think critically is Problem Based Learning (PBL) using an e-module as the resource of learning material. The study aims to examine the implementation of Problem Based Learning model using e-module and its influence on students' critical thinking ability. This study used a quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design as its research design. In using the research design, two observations have been conducted; one was before the experiment called Pre-Test (O1) and one after the experiment of this study called the post-test (O2). There are two samples in this study; one is the experimental group and the other is the control group. The study was done in Sahida Lemah Abang Vocational High School. The data was gathered by using tests and observation sheets of the learning process. The result in this study shows averagely that the implementation in each of the learning stages has gained 95.7% which is in the category of very good value. The most significant difference is from the fifth indicator "developing strategy and tactic", n gain of experimental class and control class is 5.83 and 0.23 respectively. As the result of the hypothesis test is Sig. 0.035 which means that there is a significant difference in students' ability to think critically between the students in the experimental class and the control class, the students in the experimental class think more critically than the students in the control class.

This research aimed to develop the learning tools of the biological subject in high school and the teaching biology ability of the teacher candidates through microteaching-lesson study (MLS). The combination of MLS activities was unfolded in preparing the real learning conditions for prospective teachers who will conduct the field practice in the actual classroom. Data were collected through the observation sheets, interviews, and microteaching scores that represented the students' teaching ability. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that each student capable of designing three learning plans with good and excellent categories. The teaching ability and classroom management of students increase by the three activities that conducted, as can be seen from the mean of first (55,77), the second (71,88), and the third (84,38) practice values. However, the students experienced difficulties in the stages of preparation and implementation concerning the more time needed as well as the more cycle activities. Therefore, the students argued that by the only three cycles of activities they experienced, then the LS would be constrained to introduce in the field practice program at school. The more cycles of MLS and guidance from the lecturer is still needed to make prospective teacher ready to implement LS in their field practice at school.

The results of this study are in the form of pepaccur presentations that are appropriate to be used as teaching materials for Indonesia language and literature based on the characteristics of the functions and values of local wisdom contained in them. Values contained in pepaccur such as religion, simplicity, cooperation, and politeness can be a reference in behaving in the community and this integration can be an effort to preserve local wisdom that has begun to be abandoned by the Lampung community. Implications from this study, through pepaccur-based teaching materials, students can learn to live a simple life, have a community with mutual help and respect, and learn poetic arts to provide entertainment and advice.

Contextual learning connects the content of subject matters in the classroom with the context of students’ daily lives. Elementary school learning is conducted using a thematic approach that integrates various learning contents into a theme. Thematic teaching materials in elementary schools depend on textbooks provided by the government and are limited in number. Therefore, this study aims to develop context-based thematic teaching materials to improve the learning achievements of elementary school students. In this study, the research and development method was used with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The product of development was validated by experts. Testing of the product was conducted twice, namely a small-group test with 8 elementary school students grade IV in SD 2 Guwo and a large-group t to determine the effectiveness of the teaching material developed. The large-group test involved 32 students of grade IV in SD Negeri 2 Kadipaten as the experimental class and 30 students of grade IV in SD Negeri 2 Guwo as the control class. The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences in learning achievements between the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class using context-based thematic teaching materials has better performance than the control class using thematic textbooks. The context-based thematic teaching material that has been developed has been proven to be able to improve student achievement. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for teachers and policymakers to develop context-based thematic teaching materials.
