Abstract

Alienasi adalah suatu kondisi ketika manusia dijauhkan atau menjauhkan diri dari sesuatu, sesama manusia, alam, budaya, tuhan, atau bahkan dirinya sendiri. Siswa teralieansi yaitu siswa merasakan tertekan dalam proses pembelajaran dan juga tidak memiliki teman di dalam kelas karena masing-masing menganggap teman sebagai saingan atau musuhnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Bentuk-bentuk alienasi  di SMP Negeri 6 Makale; dan 2) Dampak Alienasi bagi siswa yang teralienasi. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Informan penelitian dipiligh dengan menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Jumlah informan sebanyak 12 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian di analisis melalui tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pengabsahan data dengan menggunakan member check Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; 1. Bentuk alienasi di SMP Negeri 6 Makale adalah; a) ketidakberdayaan (powerlessness), b) keterasingan diri (self estrangement), c) tidak ada norma (normlessnes) dan d) terisolasi secara sosial (social isolation), 2. Dampak alienasi yang dialami siswa pada SMP Negeri 6 Makale adalah a) dampak negatif meliputi; siswa merasakan tertekan dalam belajar, kehilangan semangat belajarnya, merasa dibatasi dalam hal bermain. b) dampak positif yaitu siswa termotivasi untuk lebih maju dengan mengubah cara belajarnya untuk mendapatkan nilai yang bagus.

Abstract

Man, by nature, desires to live a good and happy life. But often times, the enduring quest for the blissful and delightful, eludes man. This constant questing and concurrent yearning make man restless, until his hopes and aspirations of the good or happy life, are crowned with an éclat. But, can man ever attain or realize this feat in the society? Is the idea of the good life, a mirage, a myth or reality? Even more seriously, what does the good life really entail? Is it predicated on material things, that is, on the mundane? Or is the good life, a kind of utopia, an ideal that seeks to bring to the glare of publicity, the “oughts” of life as the case may be? Since the idea of the good life is something well-defined, does it also imply that there is such a thing as the bad life? If, such exist, what would it consist of? Armed with these cogitations, this paper, attempts an expository-comparative study of the good life, its constitutive elements and its attainability in the thoughts of two distinguished philosophers: Confucius (in the East) and Aristotle (in the West).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Upaya dalam mengatasi masalah penerapan sistem PPDB jalur zonasi di SMA Negeri 21 Makassar. 2) Dampak sistem penerimaan peserta didik baru jalur zonasi terhadap proses belajar mengajar di SMAN 21 Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, teknik dalam menentukan informan menggunakan purposive sampling berjumlah 15 orang. Adapun kriteria informan yaitu kepala sekolah, komite sekolah yang aktif, ketua panitia pelaksanaan PPDB, wakasek kesiswaan, wali kelas X dan XI serta peserta didik kelas X dan XI. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data kualitatif tipe dekskriptif melalui tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pengabsahan data melalui member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; 1) Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah dalam penerapan sistem PPDB jalur zonasi; (a) dari pihak sekolah memberikan pemahaman tentang regulasi PPDB yang berbasis zonasi. (b) Dinas pendidikan menambah rombongan belajar yang disebut 36+1. (c) Komite sekolah memediasi antara orangtua dengan pihak sekolah dan membantu untuk mencari solusinya. 2) Dampak sistem penerimaan peserta didik baru jalur zonasi terhadap proses belajar mengajar di SMA Negeri 21 Makassar; (a) berdampak positif bagi peserta didik. (b) berdampak negatif terhadap tenaga pendidik.

Abstract

This paper tends to recover the dignity of human person using Kant’s view point. Human dignity has for long being in a state of pang.  It has been in the lowest esteem in the contemporary society; human right abuses, depersonalization of man, and lack of human respect. The researchers adopt expository method in carrying out the work. The researchers conclude that human life is a phenomenon characterized by a high sense of uniqueness. Every human person ought to be properly treated with such uniqueness, bearing in mind that- all are one and the same people.This paper tends to recover the dignity of human person using Kant’s view point. Abstract

When religious freedom and animal interests do clash many people believes that humans have a strong interest being free to practise their religion. Hence, this work interrogates the problem of animals rights within culture and freedom of religious expression. This work evaluated whether the human interest in freedom of religion trumps animals’ interests in avoiding pain and in being killed. This acknowledges that only some few religions actually require their followers to harm animals. Thus, the animal rights advocacy of this work only has the potential to impinge upon religious freedom on a very rare number of occasions. However, for those religious pratices that encourages harming of animals, this work argues that the interest in religion cannot be regarded as ‘special’, meriting priority over any other competing interest. Nor can the goal of equalising individuals’ opportunity to pursue their conception of the good take priority over all other claims. Just as we would not let humans suffer intolerably in the name of religion or equal opportunity, nor should we let animals. And just as we would not let human infants be killed in the name of religion or equal opportunity, nor should we let animals.

Abstract

In this work, I will be exploring the possibility of African skepticism in the philosophical milieu, and also in advancing the course of African philosophical discourse. This will be the underlying focus of this study. Employing the terms epistemic and trajectory is a way of trying to show that though skepticism is the fulcrum or pedestal upon which epistemology springs up as a branch of philosophy, however, the fact remains that African scepticism is not wishful thinking but a reality. Some of the philosophers of African descent whose works prove the existence of African scepticism like Hountondji, Asouzu, Wiredu, Oruka, and a host of others deserve grateful acknowledgment. It is in the process of other African philosophers’ objective reactions, critiques, criticisms and counter criticisms to their sceptical views that African philosophy, African philosophers and African skepticism are powerfully made more evident as realities in the philosophical enterprise. This work strongly holds that the attitude of undermining the efforts of African philosophers by fellow African scholars should be discouraged, rather the mindset should be that of African philosophical ecumenism where each scholar and school collaborate and corroborate with others to synergise for the advancement of thoughts and ideas that are indigenous to Africa, enrich and employ them in tackling the problems that are facing African and still extend generous hands of assistance in tackling the global challenge.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas terkait bagaimana adaptasi yang dilakukan oleh petan tebu ketika mengalami kegagalan panen pada tanaman tebu mereka. Metode yang digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi yang berarti disesuaikan dengan pengalaman narasumber. Perspektif teori yang digunakan yakni teori perilaku sosial “rasionalitas instrumental” oleh max weber. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa  adaptasi yang dilakukan oleh petani tebu yang sebagai subjek penelitian yakni dengan mempersiapkan segala hal yang dapat mendukung pertumbuhan da perkembangan dari tanaman tebu, seperti menyiapkan pupuk, memperkirakan cuaca, dan menyewa buruh tani untuk membantu. Selain itu sebelum terjadi “gagal panen” maka petani tebu harus tau dimana letak kerusakan yang didapatkan sehingga dapat segera memperbaikinya sebelum masa panen.

Abstract

The progress of the development of a region is not only the responsibility of the government, but requires active participation from all components of society. Good collaboration between local government and communities is an important factor in achieving this. This research is a descriptive qualitative type to describe the participation of the Bulukumba community in regional development in East Kalimantan. The research sample is the head of the family or resident's representative in a house that is domiciled in East Kalimantan, as many as 60 people who were selected by accidental sampling. Collecting data using online questionnaires in the form of Google form and distributed to respondents via Whatsapp Group social media and analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of frequency tables and graphs with narration. In addition, to deepen the required information, 3 informants were selected. The technique of collecting information through indepth interviews uses interview guides to informants and is then analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that most of the people of Bulukumba had participated well in regional development in East Kalimantan. Even so, it was still found that the Bulukumba community did not participate in development due to various factors, including a lack of public understanding of the importance of participatory development. Therefore, it is necessary to have active outreach activities from the local government and all components of society regarding the importance of community participation for the realization of advanced and sustainable regional development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the work life balance of workers during the pandemic. This type of research is a quantitative research with data collection techniques using resilience questionnaires and work life balance. The research respondents were 99 respondents who had an age range of 25-40 years. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires via google form. The results of the study showed that there was a positive relationship between resilience and work life balance in workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. This relationship can be seen from the magnitude of the correlation or r between resilience and work life balance is 0.511 with a significance level or p of 0.000. This shows that the higher a person's resilience, the higher the work life balance of workers in the community and vice versa. Thus, the results obtained that workers who have high resilience can work well and have a balanced life between work and family.

Abstract

Karya tari bedhaya cempe sebuah karya yang difungsikan untuk memperingati natal, karya tari ini diciptakan oleh seniman/ koreografer yang mumpuni dan beliau dosen Isi Surakarta. Dari salah satu karya yang diciptakan penulis tertarik mengungkap tari bedhaya cempe yang dipersembahkan untuk mengagungkan nama Tuhan Yesus, Tuhan untuk umat yang beragama nasrani. Karya tari bedhaya cempe ditarikan oleh delapan orang penari putri. Durasi waktu pementasan lima puluh menit. Bedhaya cempe karya tari moderns yang menggunakan iringan gitar, gamelan Jawa, dan paduan suara. Menggunakan panggung terbuka antara penari dan penonton serta jemaat gereja jaraknya dekat. Tata cahaya yang digunakan adalah lampu sentral dan juga menggunakan penyinaran bawah ( down – lighter ). Karya tari yang bebas dalam gerak dan inovasi serta kebebasan dalam berkreativitas. Tata busana yang dipakai penari tata busana cempe dengan warna hitam dan putih. Bedhaya cempe diungkap secara nilai – nilai pendidikan karakter yaitu 1. Wujud ketaatan kepada Tuhan, 2. Kebersamaan, 3 Kegotong royongan, 4 Kekompakan, 5. Tidak membedakan kasta. Pendidikan karakter yang semua mencerminkan kebaikan dan kepatuhan kepada Tuhan Yesus. Nilai pendidikan karakter pada bedhaya cempe dapat digunakan sebagai pandangan hidup masyarakat Jawa.Bernilai yang dapat diterapkan bagi kehidupan masyarakat Jawa
