Abstract

The light material and its nature using simple media in science found that students' activeness and understanding decreased causing the low value obtained on the material so that this did not happen, innovation was carried out with the learning media used, namely Sica Box. The aim of the study was to find out the results of students before and after using the media and the effect of the occurrence of sica box media on student outcomes. This research uses quantitative methods with quasi-experiments. Research design with pretest-posttest control Group Design by taking data from 57 students with samples using saturated sample techniques. Calculation of data with the normality test, homogeneity, t-test, and u-test as well as the average, standard deviation, and variance. The results obtained before using the media were 68.39 and after using the media the results were 87.68. It can be seen that there was an increase in student learning outcomes with the values obtained using the sica box media. Furthermore, the calculation of the u test Zcount < -Ztable, namely -5.75 < -1.96, with this Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, it is found that there is an effect of using sica box media on the learning outcomes of students. The implication of the research is that Sica Box helped master the concept of light.

Abstract

This study aims to generate correlational-predictive knowledge for active participation in voluntary sports of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Primary School) students in Indonesia. This secondary study utilizes one of the newest collections of big data at the Center for Physical Literacy and Sports Education Studies, Postgraduate School of IKIP Budi Utomo. Of the 6,576 respondents to the sports culture survey for Indonesian students, 335 of them were Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. From the proposed causal model, personal awareness, group norms, social support, and active participation in voluntary sports were selected for further analysis. The path analysis strategy found that the direct contribution of personal awareness to active sports participation was insignificant (0.020). The contribution of personal awareness indirectly, through social support (0.022), with a significant total effect (0.042). The findings of this study support the proposition about the importance of group norms and social support in improving voluntary sports for madrasah students.

Abstract

The Objective to be achieved is to determine the effectiveness of using the Learning Cycle 5E Model in natural science lessons in grade V of MIS Darussalam by looking at the ability of students’ science process skills in the learning and the outcomes. This study used the field research method with a one-group pre–test–post–test model. The population of this study was grade V MIS Darussalam with the sample taken from grade V A which amounted to 15 students. The data collection techniques used were tests, observation, documentation, and interviews. After all the data were collected, then the N-Gain Score test was conducted to see the level of learning effectiveness. The result obtained in this study showed that the Learning Cycle 5E model was effectively used in science subjects with the ability of students’ science process skills reaching 77% in the good category and the student learning outcomes using the Cycle 5E learning model ≥ KKM reached 80% percentage and the result of the N-Gain score obtained a value of 0.6131 which indicates that the effectiveness level of using Learning Cycle 5E model is in the Moderate category.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in basic education institutions is minimal in the use of learning media, and student's interest in mathematics is very low. The learning process using media is very influential in supporting students' interests and learning outcomes. This research aims to develop a Kalibataku fraction board media to increase interest and learning outcomes in mathematics learning about fractions. This research was carried out using the method of Research and Development (R&D) and using the ADDIE model. The research subjects involved were grade V students, totaling 7 students 2 experts, and 1 class teacher. The research instrument for collecting data uses questionnaires and tests. Data analysis uses ADDIE steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research results show that the media developed is suitable for use based on expert validation results. There is an increase in student interest and learning outcomes after using the developed Kalibataku fraction board media. Also received a positive response from educators who categorized the media as suitable for application in learning.

Abstract

This study analyzed thematic question items in elementary schools using Iteman software and the Winsteps Rasch Model. The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive approach, collecting data from 25 multiple-choice questions and 42 student respondents. Reliability scores were 0.641 (classical tests) and 0.68 (modern tests), falling below the desired alpha coefficient of 0.70. Two questions did not meet validity requirements based on MNSQ, ZSTD, and PT Measure. Difficulty levels revealed four very difficult, three too easy, and 18 difficult questions. Classical test analysis showed 10 poor, 12 sufficient, and three very poor discriminating power questions. Modern test analysis identified two students with poor differentiation. Overall, 23 out of 25 questions had well-functioning distractors. Implications include improving measurement quality, curriculum development, student understanding, and learning evaluation at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study aims to define the internalization of cooperation value in drum band extracurricular activities, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in its process. This study uses field research (field research) using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data processing techniques in this study include data editing, classification, and interpretation. While the subjects of this study are school principals, trainers, teachers, parents, and students. The study results show that the internalization of cooperation value has been applied to drum band extracurriculars in the form of group exercises, group exercises, and joint exercises, effective communication, openness, shared responsibility, and understanding of common goals. The supporting and inhibiting factors in this internalization process include trainers, students, parents, classrooms, fields, funds, and infrastructure. The implications of internalizing the cooperation value in the drum band extracurricular are 1) it makes it easier for teachers to convey material, 2) it makes it easier for students to memorize material, 3) students are more enthusiastic about participating in activities, 4) makes it easier for students to practice cooperation and cohesiveness, 5) the sound of the music produced is better because of their solid cooperation, 5) form an attitude of cooperation and mutual help and benefit for the future. Education practitioners need to develop a mature strategy to internalize character values in extracurricular activities and minimize obstacles to get maximum results.
