Abstract

The high level of change in people's social life demands an increase in people's knowledge of their social behaviour, which has an impact on the growth of people's intelligence to adapt to changes in the social environment, including customers. Customers have become the target of attention for business organizations including Stone Garden, through increasing customer value. The study purpose is to explain the visitor value from a functional, social, emotional and spiritual perspective during their visit to Stone Garden, followed by the meaning of visitor values from a sociological perspective. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method with a sample measure of 100 people, using the percentage formula followed by determining the range to determine the interval for assessing respondents' perceptions. The results showed that the functional, social, emotional and spiritual values were included in the excellent category. The high value of visitors becomes a reference in determining the sociological value. Stone Garden has become an important part of people's lives because it can provide benefits and be used as a reference for travelling for the community. Stone Garden has become a superior tourism model because it shows something different, namely rock-based natural tourism as the advantage vehicle. This advantage is a motivation for organizations that can foster confidence in the development of tourist destinations in the future as well as for the community so as to direct other people to visit Stone Garden.

Abstract

Business Model Canvas: Strategy Planning For The Development Of Karangsari Star Agro-Tourism In Blitar City During The Covid-19 Pandemic. This study aims to determine a strategic plan for the development of Karangsari Starfruit Agrotourism during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative with a Business Model Canvas approach and SWOT analysis. The results of this study are an overview of the current Business Model Canvas from Karangsari Belimbing Agrotourism and a development strategy plan that is prepared based on a SWOT analysis on each Business Model Canvas block. The resulting strategic plan is to expand the target audience, add photo spot facilities and rest areas, add new social media for marketing, utilize social media to establish good relations with visitors, manage social media content consistently, increase collaboration, utilize empty areas and improve quality. HR, reducing variable costs according to priority needs, and increasing income from existing sources.

Abstract

Safety visitors in the world of tourism is a top priority that travel service providers must consider to the visitor to minimize accidents. Moreover, a zoo with the main attraction of its animal collection can also be a risk to visitors. Implementing the safety management system is essential to be applied in tourism management to provide visitors safety protection, so they feel safe and comfortable when they are travelling and are willing to come back to visit the zoo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method carried out at Gembira Loka Zoo. The results showed that Gembira Loka Zoo had implemented a safety management system in tourism management by covering POAC (planning, organizing, actuating and controlling) based on eight indicators. It consists of exhibit design, distance and exhibit enclosures, warning boards, monitoring, sanitation, health and medicine, boredom, saturation and fear.

Abstract

Community-Based Tourism Village Development Strategy in Nagari Mandeh. Mandeh Nagari tourism village is a tourist village that has beautiful natural tourism potential. This study aims to formulate a community-based development strategy for the Mandeh Nagari Tourism Village (CBT), which is a tool for sustainable tourism development. The research method used is mixed (mix method). Qualitative data through observation, interviews, documentation and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) were then analyzed by data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Quantitative data was collected by distributing questionnaires and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the Mandeh Nagari tourism village could be developed with CBT (Community Based Tourism), such as re-activating tourism awareness groups and providing assistance to tourism activities in the Mandeh Nagari tourism village.

Abstract

The raising awareness of social media museums has developed gradually. A previous study related to the topic which found out that it was not properly managed is now defeated with a better solution of having a consultant or outsource staff in the museum. As social media has a great role in improving museum visitors and awareness in society, a deeper understanding and method of its application is explored in this study. The general purpose of this research is to find out the suitable Social Media Marketing method for Millennial targets as they are very active on social media compared to other generations. The method of this research was mix qualitative-quantitative approach and the sample was Sonobudoyo and Sandi museums in Yogyakarta, Indonesia was selected based on the active use of social media especially Instagram. The respondents were thirty-nine Instagram followers of Sonobudoyo and thirty-eight Instagram followers of Sandi. This study concludes that both museums have a good implementation of Social Media Marketing as the number of Instagram followers is above 5,000. It is suggested that the result of this study could provide input for other museums in Indonesia to become preferred tourism destinations while carrying out proper Social Media Marketing (SMM) especially for Millennials through updated and exciting content.

Abstract

Mount Merapi Museum is one of the geological museums in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. Although as the only geological museum, the development of the museum is still not optimal as an educational tourism museum. This study aims to identify the tourist attraction of the Mount Merapi Museum and develop a conceptual model of development that is in accordance with the characteristics of the museum and the needs of tourists. This study uses a survey research approach. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants were determined by purposive sampling. The data analysis method used interactive model analysis assisted by SWOT analysis. The results of this study are the identification of the strength of Mount Merapi Museum in the form of content attractiveness, architectural attractiveness, and attractiveness in the form of landscape and market analysis. This research also produces the concept of developing the Mount Merapi Museum based on the Edu-Nature Historical Museum, namely through the application of the interactive product concept. The interactive product development strategies are: dividing content into two thematic spaces, redesigning the plaza of the Mount Merapi simulation space, creating the best spots to enjoy the scenery, and involving the public in staging the story of Mount Merapi which is packaged in a show.

Abstract

Rawa Bayu is a water tourism area and religion can be felt as well as the indigenous people around the tourism area and the immigrants who visit the place who have all the necessities related to the benefit of humans, namely as a support for learning materials at the high school or MA level as well as at the lecture level. The purpose of this study was to determine the collaborative management of the surrounding community with the Banyuwangi Regency Tourism Office and how big the role of the surrounding community in maintaining and preserving several vital objects of cultural heritage in the Rawa Bayu tourism area. The use of the method is to use a qualitative approach by observing directly and documenting activities. Authors use literature studies to support a more definite understanding that comes from valid data. The data analysis technique used componential and descriptive analysis. The results of the study include an overview of the study area, the potential for the existence of ecotourism, and the role of the community in preserving historical objects around the ecotourism area.

Abstract

This study investigates the elements that contribute to the community's waning interest in English language training conducted by the "Bule Mengajar" Community in Sermo Tourism Village, Hargowilis, Kulon Progo. A qualitative method using a descriptive approach was adopted. Situations, objects, or social phenomena are described when conducting qualitative descriptive research. Apart from observations and other supporting materials, informants become a source for acquiring data through organized interviews with trainers and training participants. When it comes to data veracity, triangulation is applied. Data gathering, data reduction, display, and conclusions were all part of the interactive analysis. According to research, the Sermo Tourism Village community's lack of interest in English training is attributable to a lack of proper training.

Abstract

This article is to find out the role of Pokdarwis in assisting the empowerment of tourism villages in terms of supporting and inhibiting factors and their impact on the Dongde Valley tourism village 2020. The method used is a qualitative method by being directly involved in mentoring and conducting observations, observations and interviews with Pokdarwis administrators with the aim of knowing the role, supporting and inhibiting factors as well as the impact of the role of Pokdarwis in empowerment assistance in the Dongde Valley Tourism Village. The result of this article is to make the village community have the same view of turning their village into a tourist village that empowers community members to be more advanced and become a global tourist village with the awareness of citizens in raising funds to finance the needs of their village with joint contributions and seeking CSR or assistance to other parties. Outsiders realize a tourist village can support the limited human resources and funds for community empowerment. The role of Pokdarwis makes Human resources in the Dongde Valley tourist village have skills and become confident in empowering the community in the tourist village

Abstract

Despite increased scientific attention to tourism and hospitality entrepreneurship themes, there is still a general clearance of the inhabitants in relation to the hotels of their residence region, in terms of social frequency and lifestyle, caused by the fact that hotel strategies are designed only for their guests and very little for local residents. At a time when new tourism markets gain importance never felt before, this paper seeks to provide a new and in-depth understanding through a set of interviews conducted with 35 hotel professionals related to the frequency and type of consumption made by residents of the region in their hotels, as well as the entrepreneurial capacity that these companies have to get closer to local residents by creating innovative products or services more appropriate to this market segment needs, to integrate hotels more into the social lifestyle of locals residents.
