Abstract

This study aims to reveal the global challenges encountered by Islamic higher education in Indonesia and the transformation of Islamic Education in the era of globalization, namely the digital era and the industrial revolution 4.0. This research employs a qualitative method using a sociological approach. The data were obtained through interviews with lecturers and practitioners of Islamic Education at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar (UIN Alauddin Makassar). The findings of this study revealed that Islamic Education is urgently needed by the community in the midst of advances in science and technology. Islamic Education is viewed as an educational paradigm that can prevent modern society from being trapped in a value shock or culture shock. Transforming Islamic Education's principles and values is critical in countering the current and future global challenges. This study gives insights on the development of Islamic knowledge and the development of community-based human resources, particularly on the integration of Islamic teachings into general studies. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap tantangan global yang dihadapi perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia dan transformasi Pendidikan Islam di era globalisasi yaitu era digital dan revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologis. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan dosen dan praktisi Pendidikan Agama Islam pada Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar (UIN Alauddin Makassar). Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Pendidikan Agama Islam sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat di tengah kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Pendidikan Islam dipandang sebagai paradigma pendidikan yang dapat menghindarkan masyarakat modern agar tidak terjebak dalam kejutan nilai (value shock) atau kejutan budaya (culture shock). Transformasi prinsip-prinsip dan nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam sangat penting dalam menghadapi tantangan global saat ini dan masa depan. Penelitian ini menambah wawasan mengenai perkembangan ilmu keislaman dan perkembangan sumber daya manusia yang berbasis masyarakat khususnya dalam integrasi ajaran Islam ke dalam studi umum.

Abstract

This study aims to compile the work steps of the Islamization of science based on the Islamization model formulated by Isma'il Raji Al Faruqi. This qualitative approach research uses literature study method. This study identifies unhealthy symptoms in the aspects of scientific jurisprudence among Muslims who have not shown symptoms of recovery even in the 21st century. The results of the analysis then prompted the prioritization of the work plan for the Islamization of science in accordance with the ideas of Isma'il Raji Al Faruqi. The work plan begins with strengthening the five principle of unity and focuses on Islamization with a scientific integration model in the five fields of science, namely religious studies, educational management, research methodology, politics, and economics. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menyusun langkah-langkah kerja Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan berdasarkan model Islamisasi yang dirumuskan oleh Isma’il Raji Al Faruqi. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif ini menggunakan metode studi literatur. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi gejala tidak sehat dalam aspek fikrah keilmuan di kalangan umat Islam yang belum menunjukkan gejala kepulihan bahkan hingga abad 21 ini. Hasil analisis tersebut kemudian mendorong penetapan prioritas rencana kerja Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan sesuai dengan gagasan Isma’il Raji Al Faruqi. Rencana kerja tersebut dimulai dengan penguatan prinsip panca kesatuan dan fokus melakukan Islamisasi dengan model integrasi keilmuan pada lima bidang ilmu pengetahuan yakni studi agama, manajemen pendidikan, metodologi penelitian, politik, dan ekonomi.

Abstract

The dissemination of the development of story-based teaching materials at the University of West Sulawesi was carried out with a 4D model. The data were obtained based on student learning outcomes and student and lecturer responses. The profile of teaching materials consists of: (a) basic competencies, (b) indicators, (c) objectives, (d) concept maps, (e) materials, equipped with stories of each subject, (f) formative tests, and ( g) bibliography. The effectiveness test was declared complete individually and classically. The normalized gain value is included in the medium category with a value of 0.55 and the level of practicality through the lecturer's response is very good with a value of 3.58 and the student category is very good with a score of 3.64. Abstrak: Dilakukan desimasi pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis kisah di Universitas Sulawesi Barat dengan model 4D. Data diperoleh berdasarkan hasil belajar mahasiswa dan respon mahasiswa dan dosen. Profil bahan ajar terdiri terdiri atas: (a) kompetensi dasar, (b) indikator, (c) tujuan, (d) peta konsep, (e) materi, dilengkapi kisah masing-masing pokok bahasan, (f) test formatif, dan (g) daftar pustaka. Uji keefektifan dinyatakan tuntas secara individual maupun secara klasikal. Nilai Gain Ternormalisasi termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai 0.55 dan tingkat kepraktisan melalui respon dosen sangat baik dengan nilai 3.58 dan mahasiswa kategori sangat baik nilai 3.64.

Abstract

This research aims at revealing the existence of Islamic school education in preventing terrorism in Islamic boarding school of Al-Mukmin Ngruki Solo. This qualitative research involved the Director of PPIM, Head of PPIM, Educators, Education Personnel, Head of Dormitory, Santri (students), and Santri’s Parents. The data collection method in this study were observation, interview, and documentation. The research instruments were the researchers themselves. The results revealed that the curriculum used was KTSP 2013 and the system was a modern Islamic boarding school, but the reason why the Islamic boarding school was labeled as the place of terrorism cadres due to the alumni who became suspects in the Bali bombings and its founder became a suspect as well. The supporting factor is from the alumni association that is needed by the community and the inhibiting factor did not exist at all. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap keberadaan pendidikan pesantren dalam pencegahan terorisme di Pondok Pesantren Al-Mukmin Ngruki Solo. Penelitian kualitatif ini melibatkan Direktur PPIM, Kepala PPIM, Pendidik, Tenaga Kependidikan, Kepala Asrama, Santri, dan Orang Tua Santri. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti itu sendiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum yang digunakan adalah KTSP 2013 dan sistemnya adalah pesantren modern, namun alasan pesantren dicap sebagai tempat kader terorisme karena alumni yang menjadi tersangka bom Bali dan pendirinya. juga menjadi tersangka. Faktor pendukungnya adalah dari ikatan alumni yang dibutuhkan masyarakat dan faktor penghambatnya tidak ada sama sekali.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the analytical thinking skills of prospective teacher students in scientific learning of energy materials by applying a Research-Based Learning model (RBL). This study used a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The respondents selected through purposive sampling were 70 students, and 2 of them were for interview data. The research data was collected using a test instrument in the form of 10 essay questions and a non-test in the form of open interviews to students. The average pre-test score for the essay test was 45.71, the post-test score was 68.71, and the N-gain value was 42.37%. These results provide information about analytical thinking skills on energy concepts which are still in the moderate category, so alternative learning strategies are needed to improve the ability of prospective teachers in science learning. This research has recently developed five indicators of analytical thinking skills based on quantitative and qualitative studies on energy materials in science learning. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir analitis mahasiswa calon guru dalam pembelajaran saintifik materi energi dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis penelitian (RBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method dengan desain sequential explanatory. Responden yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling sebanyak 70 siswa, dan 2 diantaranya untuk data wawancara.. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa 10 soal essay dan non-test berupa wawancara terbuka kepada siswa. Rata-rata nilai pretest tes esai adalah 45,71, nilai posttest 68,71, dan nilai N-gain 42,37%. Hasil tersebut memberikan informasi tentang keterampilan berpikir analitis pada konsep energi yang masih dalam kategori sedang, sehingga diperlukan alternatif strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan calon guru dalam pembelajaran sains. Penelitian ini memiliki kebaruan mengembangkan lima indikator kemampuan berpikir analitis berdasarkan kajian kuantitatif dan kualitatif pada materi energi dalam pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Using a local history approach as an embedded medium can increase student engagement and achieve the goals of the learning process. The purpose of this study was to find out how to build student community through local historical drama in drama class activities. This study uses mixed methods, with observation and questionnaires as data collection instruments. Using a purposive sampling technique, 75 students were selected as a sample from a population of 3,225. Data were analyzed by Quant-Qual and interpreted by descriptive accounting. The results showed that there were no students who commented badly about the use of techniques in local historical dramas. Researchers recommend using this approach in the learning process, especially in learning English and how to build student’s community. Abstrak: Menggunakan pendekatan sejarah lokal sebagai media yang melekat dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan mencapai tujuan dari proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana membangun komunitas siswa melalui drama sejarah lokal dalam kegiatan drama kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran, dengan observasi dan kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dipilih 75 siswa sebagai sampel dari populasi sejumlah 3.225. Data dianalisis dengan Quant-Qual dan diinterpretasikan dengan akuntansi deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada satupun siswa yang berkomentar buruk tentang penggunaan teknik dalam drama sejarah lokal. Peneliti merekomendasikan penggunaan pendekatan ini dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dan bagaimana membangun komunitas siswa.

Abstract

Teaching materials are an important part of the success of student learning. The teaching materials used must meet certain standards or criteria to be interesting. This study aimed to describe the use of pop-up book teaching materials in learning Islamic values and local wisdom. This research was descriptive qualitative with a case study type. The subject was the 4th-grade teacher of MI Filial in Pontianak City. The instruments were direct interview guidelines and pop-up book documentation. The data were analyzed using four steps: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The result indicated that integrating Islamic values and local wisdom using Pop-up books fostered student learning activities. Abstrak: Bahan ajar merupakan bagian penting dari keberhasilan belajar siswa. Bahan ajar yang digunakan harus memenuhi standar atau kriteria tertentu agar menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahan ajar pop-up book dalam pembelajaran nilai-nilai keislaman dan kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas 4 MI Filial Kota Pontianak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah pedoman wawancara langsung dan dokumentasi buku pop-up. Analisis data menggunakan empat langkah: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengintegrasian nilai-nilai keislaman dan kearifan lokal dengan menggunakan buku Pop-up mendorong aktivitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using comic media in increasing students’ motivation in social science subjects. This study is an experimental study with a draft factorial pre-test post test involving variable use of comic media. This study was conducted at State Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTsN) of Parepare city which involved two study groups in class VIII with a total of 24 students as respondents. The instrument of comic media use was declared valid and reliable with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.917 containing 24 statement items. Descriptive analysis of comic media use obtained a mean pre-test value of 46.73 and post-test 82.80 which means that the results showed an increase motivation to learn after being given a learning treatment using comic media. The hypothesis test shows a significance value of 0.0001 which means the use of learning comic media provides better results than the use of learning media in the form of Power points. This happens because comic media is interesting, entertaining, and easy for learners to understand. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media komik pada mata pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan faktorial pre test-post test yang melibatkan variabel penggunaan media komik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTs Negeri Kota Parepare yang melibatkan dua rombongan belajar di kelas VIII dengan total 24 siswa sebagai responden dalam penelitian. Instrumen efektivitas penggunaan media komik dinyatakan valid dan reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach Alpha 0.917 yang berisi 24 item pernyataan. Hasil analisis Deskriptif penggunaan media komik diperoleh nilai mean Pre Test 46,73 dan Post Test 82,80 artinya hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan setelah diberikan treatmen pembelajaran menggunakan media komik. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0.0001 yang berarti penggunaan media komik pembelajaran memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingka dengan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbentuk Power point. Hal ini terjadi karena media komik menarik, menghibur, dan mudah untuk dipahami oleh peserta didik.

Abstract

Slow learners need specific attention and education services that suit their condition and situation for them to develop their abilities just like other normal children. Teacher roles can become a significant factor in dealing with slow learners, especially in the learning process. The research aims to find out the teacher roles, as well as the inhibiting and supporting factors in dealing with slow learners at SD Muhammadiyah Danugeran in Yogyakarta. The research is qualitative, with a case study approach. The subjects of the study were the school principal, class teachers, and students chosen using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data was analyzed using an interactive inductive data analysis technique, a model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The result suggests that teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Danunegaran have carried out their roles as demonstrators, class managers, initiators, facilitators, mediators, motivators, and evaluators in dealing with slow learners. Abstrak: Anak-anak slow learner membutuhkan perhatian dan layanan pendidikan sesuai dengan kondisi dan keadaanya. Peran guru menjadi faktor yang sangat penting dalam menangani anak slow learner. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap peran guru dalam menangani anak slow learner di SD Muhammadiyah Danunegaran Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas dan serta peserta didik slow learner. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru kelas, dan siswa yang ditentukan berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru di SD Muhammadiyah Danunegaran memiliki peran sebagai sebagai demonstrator, pengelola kelas, inisiator, fasilitator, mediator, motivator, dan evaluator dalam menangani anak slow learner.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning process and analyze the impacts of online and offline learning at SDN Makassar 01 Pagi during the Covid-19 period. The descriptive qualitative method was used in this study with three instruments, interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation. The subjects were teachers of class IV of SDN Makassar 01 Pagi. The data were analyzed using Miles’ & Huberman’s analysis consisting of three steps, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusions drawing/verification. The results indicated that SDN Makasar 01 Pagi implemented asynchronous online learning using WhatsApp and Google Classroom. At the same time, offline learning was carried out in that school with limited students and learning time by implementing health protocols and the media used, such as books, worksheets, teaching aids and media in the school environment. In addition, online and offline learning had positive and negative impacts. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dan menganalisis dampak pembelajaran online dan offline di SDN Makassar 01 Pagi pada masa Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tiga instrumen, yaitu pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas IV SDN Makassar 01 Pagi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis Miles & Huberman yang terdiri dari tiga langkah yaitu reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDN Makasar 01 Pagi menerapkan pembelajaran online asinkron menggunakan WhatsApp dan Google Classroom. Sementara itu, pembelajaran luring dilaksanakan di sekolah dengan siswa dan waktu belajar yang terbatas serta menerapkan protokol kesehatan.Media yang digunakan seperti buku, LKS, alat peraga dan media di lingkungan sekolah. Selain itu, pembelajaran online dan offline memiliki dampak positif dan negatif.
