Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to speak in children aged 4-5 years through the media big book in play group Permata Ibu District of Koto Kampar Hulu regency of Kampar . This study is kind studies using action research or (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action planning, observation / evaluation and reflection. Subject empirically n are children aged 4-5 years who are 20 children on KB Permata Ibu. The research data obtained through observation and data analysis was done by using quantitative descriptive analysis and quantitative. The research showed that the big media book can improve the ability to speak in children aged 4-5 years. It can be seen from the increase in the average percentage of the ability to speak in the first cycle of 42.6% which is the criterion begins to develop (MB) and an increase of 50% in the second cycle to 64.8% which are in developing appropriate criteria expectations (BSH). So, the big media book can improve speaking skills of children aged 4-5 years in group Permata Ibu District of Koto Kampar Hulu regency of KamparKeywords : Speech, Media Big Book

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the percentage of students who reached the KKM was 31%, namely 9 people out of 29 students, it was seen that 69% of students in Class VIIF of SMP 10 Tapung were under the KKM. The KKM set by the school for comparison material is 70. Based on these data, it can be said that the learning outcomes of Class VIIF students in Tapung 10 Middle School on the comparison material are still low. This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VIIF students of 10 Tapung Junior High School in school year 2018/2019 through the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model. The research subjects were VIIF students of 10 Tapung Junior High School in the 2018/2019 academic year totaling 21 people. Data collection instruments in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and teacher and student activity observation sheets, as well as daily test questions. The results of this study indicate that the average student learning outcomes increased from the basic score of 41.8 to the first cycle to 70.1 with an increase in percentage of 20.85%, then at the base level 41.8 to the second cycle 83.00 with an increase of 29.35%. While the average activity of teachers in the first cycle was 77.78 (moderate) and increased in the second cycle to 96.97 (Very Good) or increased by 37.5. Besides the activity of students with an average in the first cycle is 71.8 (Moderate) and increases in the second cycle to 97.4 (Very Good) or an increase of 35.42. Based on these results it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students have increased. Teacher activities and student activities at each meeting also increased. This proves that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes in class VIIF of Tapung 10 Junior High School.Key Words: Students Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model Type STAD

Abstract

Abstract: This correlational study is aimed to find out the correlation between reading motivation and reading comprehension of the third year students of SMPN 12 Pekanbaru. The sample was chosen by using cluster random sampling as many as 39 students. The instrument used in this study was questionnaire and test; reading motivation questionnaire and reading comprehension test. Reading motivation questionnaire is used to know the students’ reading motivation while reading comprehension test is used to find out the students’ ability in understanding a text. The obtained data were assessed by using Product Moment’s formula and analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 for windows. Based on the data analysis, it shows that there is moderate, significant and positive correlation between grammar mastery and reading comprehension of the third year students of SMPN 12 Pekanbaru. Therefore, it answered the research question that there is a correlation between reading motivation and reading comprehension.Key words: correlation, reading motivation, reading comprehension

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia has a wealth of traditions that are spread in each region. Tradition as the nation's cultural wealth is one form of regional cultural expression that is very valuable, not only storing the cultural values of a traditional society but also can be the culture of a new society. Among the surviving traditions, one of them is in the Andung tradition which is in the custom of the death of the Batak Toba people. Andung is one of the traditions of the culture produced by the Batak Toba people. Andung is one of the traditions that is still used by the Batak people, especially the Batak Toba people. The purpose of this study is 1) Find out the Protestant Christianity's view of Death. 2) Find out the meaning of the Andung at the Batak Toba Saur Matua Death Ceremony in Palas Village 3) Find out the function of the Andung for the Batak Toba community in the Palas Village 4) Find out how to present the Andung in the Batak Toba Saur Matua Death Ceremony in the Palas Village. As for this study using descriptive qualitative methods and data obtained from interviews data and obtained from books and archives. The results of this study are to find out the tradition of andung that existed in the death of the Batak Toba community in the Palas Village. Abstract

Abstract: Theresearchwas conducted become of the low learning achievement of student on the subject of hidrocarbon and petroleum who was not reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) was 75 that have been esthabilished in school. The research aims to improve learning achievement of student on the subject of hidrocarbon and petroleum.The samples is class XI MIA 4. The research is a kind of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. Experimental class is a class that is applied to active learnig strategy typeHollywood Squares Review. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Criteria testing H0 accepted if tcount>ttable  dk = n1 + n2 – 2 with α = 0,05. Based on data analysis of data obtained tcount>ttable is 3,07 >1.67, means  that the use of active learning strategy typeHollywood Squares Review can improve student learning achievement on the subject of Hidrocarbon and Petroleumin class XI MIA SMAN 2Pekanbaru. The category improvement of student achievement at experiment class was high category with N-gain normalized is 0,82.

Abstract

Abstract : Based on preliminary observation in SDN 001 Seberida pound problems in Learning in class V. Teacher Centered Learning by Process, Learning models used by teacher have not varied and monotonous. The Teacher has not tought students in group. The students do not perform the activity and tend to be rowdy group at the time of the learning take place. So the impact on students learning outcomes are lower with classical completeness 52 % below the KKM. Based on the chosen solution to these problems is to impements Cooperative Learning ( NHT) because this model is a model of group Learning with a number of head that can increase the activity of the students.As for theformulaton of general problem of this study is whether the implementation of cooperative learning model NHT could improve the quality of science teaching five grade SDN 001 Seberida?. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of learning include the teacher skills. Students activities and the result of give grade students learn science at SDN 001 Seberida. This type of the research is classroom action research with 2 cycles. Each cycle consist of four stage: Planning, implementation, Observation, and reflwction.The subject of this research is the teacher and students in 5 grade SDN 001 Seb erida. Data collection teachnigues using tests, observation, field notes, and dokumentation the results showed for the first cycle ofthe teacher skills to earn a score of 16 at the meeting of 1 and a score of 17 in the second sycle to obtain a score of 18 at the meeting of 1 and a score of 21 in the second meeting with criteria very well. Students activity cycle 1 scored 15 in the first meeting with sufficient criteria. Scond cycle increase a score of 18 at the meeting of 1 and a score of 20 in the second meeting with both criteria.Mastery Learning Classical, the first eycle is 60% the socond cycle increased to 72%. The conclusions of this study is teacher, activities, students, and student learning otcome class V SDN 001 Seberida in science subjects.Advice given that teacher should use inaovative models and verying media in Learning.Key word : Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Head Together (NHT), Learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to know the effect of toss card game towards children’s age 4-5 years math ability. The research is conducted in TK Pembina 3 Pekanbaru from March to April 2017. This is pretest and posttest group design an experimental research with 30 children as samples. Type of instrument used in this study is the observation using a sheet to record about activities that occurred during a given treatment. Based on the hypothesis test results obtained are the game toss card is influence on math ability to children aged 4-5 years in TK Negeri pembina 3 Pekanbaru City. Retrieved tcount at 5,332 with sig 0000, because sig <0.05 then we can conclude that there are influence on math abilities is significant between class with toss card game and without toss card game. Hypothesis testing can be seen at tcount= 5,332> t table = 2,048 it has been suggested that there is a significant influence in results between the control class and experiment class. The toss card card had a significant effect towards children’s age 4-5 years old math ability, at 56,41%. This is known from the different results math ability on control class and expriment class with given the toss card game treatment.Keywords: Math Ability, Toss Card

Abstract: This jurnal purpose to describe a type of deiksis in a M. Aan Mansyur’s short storyes collection. The type of deiksis in a M. Aan Mansyur’s short storyes are (1) persona deiksis (2) place deiksis (3) time Deiksis (4) discourse deiksis (5)cocial deiksis. Deiksis persona is divided by three, (1) the first persona (2) the second persona (3) the third persona). Place deiksis is divided by three (1) di sini (2) di situ (3) di sana. Discourse deiksis is divided by two (1) anafora (2) katafora. Where as the other deiksis there is no in the division. There are 138 deiksis in M. Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine the effect of the using pictures series toward writing ability on narrative text of fourth grade students of SDN 37 Pekanbaru. The subjects of this study were students of class IVA which amounted to 31 people. The methd used in this research is experimental method with one-group pretest-posttest design research design. The method used in this study was conducted in one class without comparison group. Instruments used as data in research is essay test in the form of writing assignment narrative.Hypothesis testing is done by using t test. The result show that the students ability in writing narrative essay before using the picture series include in the category of less skilled with the average value of 65,3. While after the using pictures series include in the skilled category with an average value of 83,4. Then based on testing the hypothesis that Ha is accepted if the lower is negative and upper value is possitive or significant value (2tailed) > α. From test result pretest and posttest lower value is negative and upper value is negative or sig. (2tailed) = 0,000 < α=0,05 Ho rejected and Ha accepted. Where Ha in this study is there are differences in narrative writing skills on the pretest and posttest class IVA SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru, then there is the effect of using the pictures series toward writing ability on narrative text of fourth gradestudents of SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Media pictures series, writing ability, narrative text

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to boost student learning outcomes. Low student learning outcomes researcher eager to find a solution to solve these problems, one way is to do research by applying the method of cooperative learning Group Investigation (GI). The type of research is classroom action research (PTK), and carried out in two cycles. While the subject of this study is the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 30 Teluk Lancar. Results from this study is the increase in the activity of the teacher, student activities, and student learning outcomes. At the first meeting of the first cycle, the percentage of teachers activity of 58.33% with enough categories, at the second meeting increased to 70.83% in both categories. At the first meeting of the second cycle of 87.50% the percentage of teachers with very good category, and at the second meeting increased to 95.80% with the category very well. At the student activity also increased, namely in the first cycle of the first meeting of the percentage of 62.50% with a good category, and at the second meeting increased to 75% in both categories. At the first meeting of the second cycle percentage of 87.50% with a very good category, and at the second meeting increased to 91.67% with the category very well. On student learning outcomes also increased with an average score of students before action is 65.95, the first cycle increased to 69.75.
