Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of fire incident time on chlorophyll content of dominant plants after peat land fires in Rimba Panjang village, Kampar regency. This study was conducted during the months of February to June 2017 using the servei research design. Samples are the dominant strata sapling plant determined based on Important Value Index (IVI) with sampling using purpose random sampling technique based on gradient time of fires (2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017). The measurement of chlorophyll content was done on the leaves of the three dominant strata sapling plants using Chlorophyll meter SPAD 502, while the physical chemical aspects of the environment were measured using Lux meter to measure light intensity, Thermo hygrometer to measure temperature and humidity, and Soil tester to measure pH and soil moisture. The measurement results dominant chlorophyll content in plants showed that the longer time after the fire the chlorophyll content tends to increase. In addition to the length of time after the fire, environmental factors also affect the chlorophyll content in plants such as, light intensity, soil pH, soil moisture, air temperature, and air humidity. Research result can be utilized for the design of Student WorkSheet of Biology learning in senior high school.Keywords: Chlorophyll Content, Dominant Plants, Post-Fire Peatlands, Student WorkSheet

Abstract

Abstract: A learner should have intelligence and skills in many ways. One of the intelligence and skills that can be possessed by the learner is smart and skilled in utilizing the existing leisure, because the success of learners in learning is also related to how the learners take advantage of the free time that he had. The purpose of this research is to know the description of student leisure activity at home, outdoors, weekend, and semester breaks to students who attend school in town and in village. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. Data collection techniques used questionnaires. To analyze data using percentage technique. The sample in this study in the city were 135 students and in the village were 81 students. The result of the research shows that the activities done in the students' spare time at home, out of the house, weekend and semester holiday in the city are in effective category, while the villages are in the effective category. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and improve the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of Cooperative Learning with Think Pair Square Approach. The type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The research was conducted in student of grade VII1 Junior High School 3 Pekanbaru on the second semester in the 2015/2016 academic year with the subject of as many as 40 students. The research instrument are consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used in this research are consists of the Syllabus, Lesson plan and Student work sheet. The instrument data to collect used in this research is consists of the observation sheet and math achievement test. Technique of data analysis is analysis of narrative descriptive and analysis of statistical descriptive. The action is successful if the number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria increase in daily tests I and II. The number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria on basic, daily test I (first cycle) and daily test II (second cycle) are respectively 37.5%, 52.5%, and 77.5%. Based on the result of the research show that, the learning process has improved and the student’s mathematics learning outcomes have improved after applying the Cooperative Learning with Think Pair Square Approach. The Cooperative Learning with Think Pair Square Approach can be used as an alternative in learning, because it can improve the learning process and improve the student learning outcomes.Key Words: Cooperative Learning, Think Pair Square Approach, learning process, student learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes IPA third grade students of SD Negeri 26 Bengkalis. Among the students totaling 28 people, only 12 people (42.86%), which reached the KKM, while 16 (57.14%) who have not reached the KKM, with an average value of 67.00. The activities of teachers in the first cycle of my meetings percentage of 57.14% gain enough categories, at the second meeting of the first cycle increased with the percentage of 64.28% both categories., the first meeting of the second cycle of the teacher's activities also increase the percentage 78.57% into either category and at the second meeting of the second cycle increased again with a percentage of 92.85% is very good category. Student activities at meeting of the first cycle of obtaining a sufficient percentage of the category of 53.57%, in the second meeting of the first cycle increased percentage of 64.28% to the good category, at the first meeting of the second cycle increased with the percentage of 75.00% both categories. At the second meeting of the second cycle increased with the percentage of 92.85% is very good category. From an average of 62.5 study results before action rose to 68.57 in cycle I. In the second cycle increased 73.21. While classical completeness in the first cycle and the second cycle has been reached. can improve learning outcomes IPA third grade students of SD Negeri 26 Bengkalis.Keywords: Model Contextual Teaching And Learning(CTL), Learning Outcomes IPA

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study is to find out the ability level of first year students of English Department FKIP UR in using adjective order. This research was done to answer the research question; what is the ability level first year students of English Department FKIP UR in using adjective order. The design of this research is descriptive research which used quantitative data, where the students were assessed by their score. This research used written test as instrument which consisted of 40 questions. The population of this research is all of first year students of English Department FKIP UR in academic year 2016/2017 with the total is 120 students and there were 30 students were selected as the sample of this research by using cluster random sampling technique. The finding of this research showed that the ability level of first year students of English Department FKIP UR in using adjective order is categorized into average level with the mean score 53.1.Key Words: Ability, adjective order

Abstract

Abstract: The research carried out base on the lowly of the result of IPS in grade 4th SDN 15 Lubuk Muda Kecamatan Siak Kecil Kabupaten Bengkalis which is about 62,66 within minimal completeness criterion stated is 70. Among 15 student, there was only 4 students were able to achieve the score of minimal completeness criterion stated. The purpose of this research is to improve student’s achievemet on IPS of the fourth graders in SDn 15 Lubuk Muda Kecamatan Siak Kecil Kabupaten Bengkalis with the application of contextual teaching and learning model. This research was classroom action research consisting 2 cycles within 4 procedures : planning, doing, observing, and reflecting and each cycle consist of three meeting. Instruments on this research are syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheet. Instrument for collecting data are observation sheet and test. Data which was collected were learning outcomes and teacher’s activities during lessons. After implementation of contextual teaching and learning model it was abtained student’s outcomes in UH I within average 64,66 (improved from basic score 3,19%). The average score form UH II was 73,66 (improved 17,55%). Teachers activities results in the first meeting of the first cycle was 57,14% (enough category), and then 67,85% (good category) for the second meeting in cycle I. Meanwhile in the first meeting of the second cycle was 78,57% (good category) and then 85,71% (very good category) for second meeting in cycle II. Students activity in the first meeting of the cycle I was 57,14% (fair category), 64,28% (enough category) for the second meeting in the cycle I. And then in the first meeting of the second cycle was 7,14% (good category), 78,57% (good category) for the second meeting in cycle II. Based on the result it can be concluded that implementation of contextual teaching and learning model can IPS in fourth graders at SDN 15 Lubuk Muda Kecamatan Siak Kecil Kabupaten Bengkalis.Keywords : Contextual Teaching and Learning, the result of IPS Studies.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe and test whether the media story pictures to enhanceunderstanding of the flow of conversation Kaiwa the second semester students (2012-2013)Japanese Language Study Program University of Riau. Learners numbering 42 people (21groups). The results of this study explains that: first, understanding the flow of conversationKaiwa can be improved by using a media story pictures. Before the use of the media, somelearners (respondent) scored below the standard. Secondly, the learners interested andmotivated. It can be seen from the test results. Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to find out the correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking ability in describing people by the second year students of SMPN 12 Bintan. The sample of this research was class VIII 2, which consist of 30 students. The data were collected by using two kinds of test, vocabulary test and speaking test. The result of this research showed that the second year students of SMPN 12 Bintan got good to excellent level with the average score 83.16 in vocabulary test and in speaking the students got good level with average to good score 73.56 The result of this research proved that there is a positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking ability in describing people. The rxy distribution of the coefficient correlation is 0.68. It means that the correlation was in moderate level. So, Ha (alternative hypothesis) of this research is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. There was no much different between the students’ vocabulary score and student’ speaking score. In other words, it can be concluded that students who are good in vocabulary will also tend to be good in speaking.Keywords: correlation, vocabulary mastery, speaking ability

Abstract

Bonai tribe is one of the isolated tribes in Riau that lives on the banks of the Rokan River. This Bonai tribe spreads in several regions such as Left Rokan and Rokan Kanan. The Bonai Tribe is one of the KAT communities in Riau which is a marginal community that is marginalized in all aspects of its life. The KAT community in Indonesia is spatially or geographically located far from the centers of progress and development that exist. A community becomes alienated due to several factors including geographical distance, social interaction, science and technology, education. According to the Bonai Tribe, the word "Bonai" comes from the word "Manai" where in the language of the Bonai the word Manai means lazy. this is related to the habits of the Bonai people who are known for their lazy people. The Bonai tribe was brought by two sisters who migrated to Brunei, namely Sutan Harimau and Sutan Janggut. Not unlike other KAT communities, the Bonai people also live behind. The Bonai Tribe makes a living as fishermen, farming and expecting forest products. The Bonai Tribe is rich in culture and tradition. One of the well-known traditions of the Bonai Tribe is the Buong Kwayang or Bodeo Dance which is a traditional dance of the Bonai Tribe which is still believed by the Bonai Tribe to this day. The purpose of this study was to find out the history of the origin of the Bonai Tribe, to find out the social conditions, to find out the culture of the Bonai Tribe, to find out how far the government's attention to the Bonai Tribe was. The method used in conducting this research is the historical method in which the steps are heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interview techniques, documentation techniques and literature study techniques.Key words: History, Life, Society, Bonai Tribe

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to The Ability To Know Alphabet in children aged 4-5 years through game to a letter in Kindergarten Darussalamah Petapahan Jaya Village District Tapung Regency Of Kampar. This study is kind studies using action research or (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action planning, observation / evaluation and reflection. Subject empirically n are children aged 4-5 years who are 16 children in Kindergarten Darussalamah. The research data obtained through observation and data analysis was done by using quantitative descriptive analysis. The research shows that game a letter can boost ability to know a alphabet in children aged 4-5 years. It can be seen from the increase in the average percentage of the ability to know alphabet of children in the first cycle by 41,22% which is the criteria began to develop (MB) and an increase of 61,18% in the second cycle to 71,11% which is very good at developing criteria (BSB). So, game to a letter can improve ability to know alphabet of children aged 4-5 years in Kindergarten Darussalamah Petapahan Jaya Village District Tapung Regency Of KamparKeywords : The Ability To Know Alphabet, Game To A Letter
