Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of ability to understand anecdotal texts, and determine the differences in the ability to understand anecdotal texts per class, X grade students of Riau Taxation Vocational School. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study amounted to 92 people and the samples obtained using the Slavin formula were 75 people. The data collection technique used the essay test technique. The test is in the form of questions about understanding the structure and messages in anecdotal texts. The data analysis technique used the Normality Test through the Lilifors Test. Then rhe Chi Square Test of one sample to determine the category of students understanding ability. Kruskall-Wallis test to determine the ability of students per class. The conclusion is that the ability to understand anecdotal texts of class X students of Riau Tax Vocational High School is categorized as very low and there is no difference in the ability of students of class X of Riau Tax Vocational school.Key Words: Understanding Ability, Anecdotal Text, Class X Students

Abstract

Abstract: Advertising is a message that connects advertisers with consumers. Anautomotive advertisement titled Toyota Doraemon is made in series using Doraemoncharacter. Toyota insert the advantages of its product in every scene and storyline. As amedium of information, advertisements are interesting to observe and disassemble thecontents of the message so that hidden meaning behind the signs is revealed throughPeirce’s semiotic theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. A data inthis study is collected non-verbal signs and classified based on icons, indexs, andsymbols. From reading the conversational dialogues in manga. The results isfounding behind the non-verbal signs in this advertisement, it contained productadvantages both functionally in the form of a car model and facilities and emotionallyeffect of the user.Key Word : Advertisements, Peirce’s Semiotic, Non-verbal Sign, Doraemon.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted in Pemtang Village, Pangean District. The purpose of this study is to find out the cultural customs of marriage in Pemtang Village, Pangean District, to find out how the procedures for implementing the marriage customs of the Pemtang Village community, Pangean District, to find out how the role of niniak mamak in the implementation of marriage in Pemtang Village, Pangean District, to find out how the shift in the implementation of marriage customs in the Pemtang Village community, Pangean District. The method used in this research is qualitative. The data obtained from the interviews were then analyzed in their own language. This research began to be carried out from the beginning of the title of this researcher being submitted until this thesis was completed. Data collection techniques used are Observation Techniques, Documentation Techniques, Interview Techniques, and Data Analyst Techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are several forms and conditions of marriage that are prohibited by custom, namely ethnic marriage and pregnancy outside of marriage, the requirements for marriage are in the form of customs and administration.Key Words: Shifting Marriage Traditions

Abstract

Abstract: The rapid use of technology in individuals learning in school has an impact inthe field of education to involve technology in the learning process, both in methods andlearning media. The emergency period that occurred in the world in 2019 causedthelearning process to be carried out from home or commonly called online, so it wasnecessary to develop android application-based learning media with a guided inquiryapproach in delivering learning materials. The purposeof this research is to developlearning media and to test the validity of the android application-based learning media.The development of this learning media is expected to be able to provide benefits tostudents so that students are motivated to learn magnetic field material independently,as well as assist in achieving learning goals online and offline. The developmentresearch model used in this research is the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design,Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In determining the level of mediavalidity, this research used a validation sheet filled out by three validators, as well asan analytical questionnaire filled out by teachers and students. The results of thevalidation by the three validators stated that the android application-based learningmedia was valid in the level of validity with an average final score of 3.3, and thecriteria were very good. Based on the results of the validation of the learning media, itis said to be suitable for use in learning activities.Keywords: Learning Media, Android Applications, Guided Inquiry, Magnetic Field.

Abstract

Abstract: Science is a human knowledge about nature that is obtained in a controlled way. So that students can carry out the scientific learning process, they must have an ability that scientists have in conducting scientific investigations, namely scientific process skills. The purpose of this study is to produce an animated video as a valid and practical physics practical guide at home that can train the science process skills of seventh grade junior high school students on heat and its transfer material. The research method used in this research are Research and Development (R&D) and development method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). However, in this development research, researchers only conduct research up to the third stage, namely to the development stage. The type of data used in this study is divided into qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data in the form of opinions and suggestions from the validator and quantitative data in the form of scores given by the validator on each item of the assessment of the animated video product draft along with the accompanying LKPD which was developed as a practical guide. The results of the validation at the final stage based on 5 aspects of the assessment obtained the following; the conduction practicum animation video is 3.53, the convection practicum animation video is 3.51 and the radiation practicum animation video is 3.58. The results of the validation at the final stage obtained the following averages; LKPD conduction of 3.70. The convection LKPD is 3.62 and the radiation LKPD is 3.67. So based on the description of the validation results, the media developed in the form of animated videos and practical worksheets can be declared valid. Thus, it can be concluded that the media developed by the researcher is suitable to be used as a guide for physics practicum for junior high school students at home.Keywords : Media Development, video animation, science process skills, heat and its transfer.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by concerns about the exploitation of children and the many reasons for their poor family's economic background, causing them to take to the streets to find additional income for their family by singing. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to study public perceptions of regional regulation no 12 of 2008 in fostering child buskers in handsome sub-districts. The purpose of the study was to find out how the study of public perception of Perda No. 12 of 2008 in fostering child buskers in the district of handsome. The benefits of research results for students are to provide an overview of the study of public perception of Regional Regulation No. 12 of 2008 in fostering child buskers in the handsome sub-district and to be a reference for how to behave in a national institution according to a study of public perception of Regional Regulation No. 12 of 2008 in fostering buskers. boy in handsome district. This research was conducted in Tampan District in December 2020 – Mai 2021. This study used a quantitative descriptive method. The population in this study amounted to 194, 331 people. The sample in this study was taken using the Acidental sampling technique with a large number of 100 people from the whole community. So the results obtained in the above recapitulation are in the range of 18.6% + 29.4% = 48%. Thus, it can be concluded that Public Perceptions of Regional Regulation No. 12 of 2008 in Fostering Child Singers in Tampan District are in the "Not Good" range.Key Words: Studies, Perceptions, Society, Local Regulations Fostering Child Singers.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the basic concepts and theories, implementation techniques REBT and types of adolescent problems using Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). The type of research used is literature study. The instrument used in this research is a combination of national and international journals. Data analysis in this study used qualitative. The results showed that Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) the type of counseling approach that focuses on aspects of thinking, assesing, and deciding with the aim of helping individuals to think more rationally. And there are also various theories found in the research results from the research results that can be used as discussing one of the problem formulations of the results of the research. As for the use of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) was widely used among teenagers. And there are also several technical models of implementing the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach such as through group counseling formats, group guidance, individual counseling, and combining cognitive, imagery and behavioristic techniques. Abstract

Abstract: The learning tools developed are the Conceptual Understanding Procedures model learning tools in improving the mastery of science and physics concepts on work and simple planes in class VIII Junior High School, consisting of Learning Plans and Student Worksheets. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning device that is used to improve the mastery of the concepts of science and physics on work and simple planes in class VIII Junior High School. This research is expected to be a reference for making innovative learning tools and can be used as a basis in the teaching and learning process so that learning objectives can be achieved. This type of research is development research using the Hannafin and Peck (H&P) model.. This research is only limited to the development stage. The research instrument used was the Learning Plans and Student Worksheets validation assessment sheets which were used by the validator to assess learning tools. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of each indicator of the learning device. The results showed that the Conceptual Understanding Procedures learning device model was declared valid with an average RPP score of 3.25 in the very high category and the LKPD score of 3.30 in the very high category. mastery of students' concepts on work and simple planes. Abstract

Abstract: The goal of this study is to identify the students' perceptions in using theWhatsApp application as a Mobile-Assisted Language Learning. To collect the data,this survey research used an online survey, then analyzed descriptively. Thequestionnaire in the survey used Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with threeindicators to measure the students' perceptions. The survey was distributed to studentsfrom class C of batch 2019 of the English Study Program of Universitas Riau by usingcluster random sampling. 41 respondents answered the survey using Google Forms.The results were Perceived usefulness (70,97%) is in the very good category, PerceivedEase of Use (87,85%) is in the excellent category, and Behavioral Intention (78,28%) isin the very good. The result shows that the level of the students' perceptions in usingWhatsApp as a Mobile-Assisted Language Learning, in general, is Very Good(79,03%). Perceived Ease of Use was the indicator with the highest percentage(87,85%) which explains that students use WhatsApp easily. This research suggests thelecturer use WhatsApp as an application in the Mobile-Assisted Language Learning(MALL) tool.Key Words: Perception, WhatsApp, Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL).

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine the Perceptions of Class Vlll Students towards Learning PJOK Online at SMP Negeri 29 Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the research, it shows that (1) the perception of class VIII students towards learning PJOK online on students' motivation in implementing physical education learning at SMP Ngeri 29 Pekanbaru, that there are 75 (56.39%) students who are in good criteria. (2) Perceptions of class VIII students towards learning PJOK online on the ability of teachers in implementing physical education learning at SMP Ngeri 29 Pekanbaru, that there are 96 (72.18%) students who are in very good criteria. (3) The perception of class VIII students towards online PJOK learning on the completeness of facilities and infrastructure in the implementation of physical education learning at SMP Ngeri 29 Pekanbaru, that there are 66 (49.62%) students are in very good criteria. Thus the perception of class VIII students towards learning PJOK online at SMP Negeri 29 Pekanbaru is seen from the overall data of sub-variables consisting of, a). Motivation, b). Orchestra Physical Education teacher, c). Facilities and infrastructure can be said to be quite good, with a percentage (59.40%) this result means that the perception of class VIII students towards learning PJOK online at SMP Negeri 29 Pekanbaru can run quite well.Key Words: Student Perception, PJOK Online Learning
