Abstract

The increasing Muslim population affects the demand for halal products. Multinational companies cannot see the current trend of Muslim consumer growth by looking at the decision-making of halal food and beverage purchases and brand awareness. This study examines the influence of religion, halal labeling, information delivery, and health considerations on brand awareness and purchasing decisions for Wall's ice cream in Malang. This research is explanatory research with 180 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and the size used a Likert scale. This paper uses the Structural Equation Model (SEM) for data analysis with the Variance Based SEM approach, commonly known as Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that two variables had no significant effect: exposure to information and health labels. And considering that the independent variables in this study are essential in influencing purchasing decisions, it is hoped that the results of this study can be used as a wish for further research.

Abstract

This paper aims to identify the factors that affect the performance of shariah mutual funds. This study uses SEM to test the factors that hypothetically influence mutual fund performance, namely mutual fund manager skills, characteristics, and analyst coverage. This study uses a sample of 45 mutual funds registered with the OJK [financial services authority] for at least three years: equity funds, fixed-income funds, and mixed funds. The results indicate that fund manager skills negatively influence mutual fund performance but not significantly. In addition, the characteristics positively affect the mutual fund performance but are insignificant. Last, analyst coverage is positively influencing the mutual fund performance significantly. The results provide information that would benefit the investors in predicting the performance of shariah mutual funds and the fund managers to improve the performance of their managed funds. Further research will ascertain the inability of market-timing skills and asset allocation strategies to improve mutual fund performance.

Abstract

The research objective is to analyze and prove the influence of competence, career development, and organizational culture on employee performance. For 3 (three) months, the research was carried out, starting from January-March 2022, at the Regional Secretariat of the Kupang City Government. This research belongs to quantitative research. The population in this study was 1034 employees. The number of research samples was 288, determined by proportional stratified random sampling and the Slovin technique. The Likert scale is used to obtain data from questionnaires and use observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed a positive and significant influence between career development variables and organizational culture on employee performance. In contrast, the competence variable had a negative influence on employee performance at the Kupang City Government Regional Secretariat. Competence of employees who show a negative influence shows information that the competence of employees needs to be a concern of the organization to be improved so that employees can develop from the aspect of working ability in achieving organizational goals. This study also proves that competence, career development, and organizational culture can simultaneously be used as organizational strategies to improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between perceived stress, psychological well-being and perceived productivity through teleworking with resilience as moderation for married female employees in the telecommunications network company in Jakarta. The data analysis method used was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)–Partial Least Square (PLS) by distributing questionnaires to 148 married women employees. Data were collected from December 2021 to 2022 through an online questionnaire distributed through the human resources department. The results of this study supported the six hypotheses proposed, and 1 of the seven hypotheses did not. Perceived stress and teleworking have a relationship with psychological well-being. Moreover, teleworking can mediate the relationship between perceived stress and psychological well-being. Surprisingly women's resilience does not moderate the relationship between teleworking and psychological well-being. This study also revealed that perceived stress and psychological well-being are related to perceived productivity. This condition requires an active role of corporate leaders to find effective ways to deal with stress and increase well-being and employee productivity during teleworking or Work From Home. Corporate leaders must begin to design and plan better methods to support employees who have flexible working hours.

Abstract

The urgency of this study is to solve the problem regarding the slow penetration of TikTok Livestreaming shopping; even though the traffic opportunities on TikTok are huge and far outperform any social media application, even if it is compared to applications that existed before TikTok, such as Facebook and Instagram. This study analyzes the factors influencing purchase intention among TikTok users in Indonesia. The number of samples in this study is 180 respondents. A questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale was used to collect data. The data were processed by using Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach. Of the five direct hypotheses tested, all of them had a significant effect. Thus, we can say Live streaming Shopping Attribute, Products' Trust, and Sellers' Trust are the determinant variables of purchase intention. Even though this research has provided factual information on the contribution of antecedent purchase intention variables, it is necessary to expand the variables considered to support the increase in purchase intention, such as the Guarantee Return Policy and seller pacing. Unlike previous studies that mostly assessed the direct effect of exogen variables on purchase intention used a one-level mediating variable, throughout the author's knowledge, there has been no one to examine the influence of antecedent factors live streaming purchase intention through sequence mediation. This study implies that sellers who use the live streaming channel on TikTok to market their products have to pay serious attention to the quality of the products and guarantee that the products will provide maximum benefits for their buyers.

Abstract

The study investigates the iGen customer loyalty model that is affected by service quality, culture, loyalty program, and trust through customer satisfaction. Following the conceptual model, an inclusive set of hypotheses have been developed. The needed data were collected from 663 samples using an online survey, and Structural Equation Model with Smart Partial Least Square was applied to test the model and hypotheses. The research found that service quality, culture, loyalty programs, and trust are combined to predict customer loyalty. Trust and loyalty programs exert a more powerful impact on customer loyalty than service quality and culture variables. Customer satisfaction is a mediator between service quality, loyalty programs, customer trust, and customer loyalty. The results have some critical academic and professional implications for determining the model of consumer loyalty and the uniqueness of internet generation (iGen) in mobile communication services. The study can be used as a role model in formulating a marketing strategy management with a competitive advantage in mobile communication services in Indonesia.

Abstract

Budgetary slack frequently happens in local governments. This can also occur due to indications of individual behavior lowering the income target to facilitate the achievement of local government budgets. The purpose of the study was to examine and analyze job involvement and job relevant information moderating budgetary participation on budgetary slack with empirical study on the regency of Sijunjung. The sample of this research is echelon II, III and IV officials in government of Sijunjung Regency. The sampling technique use in this study is a purposive sampling technique. The sample used in this studi were 59 respondents. The analysis of Partial Least Square (PLS) based on variance is the analytical technique used in this research. The results of the study found that budgetary participation has a positive and significant effect on the level of budget slack reduction. Job involvement was not evidenced to moderate the effect of budgetary participation on the level of budget slack reduction while job relevant information was evidenced to moderate the effect of budgetary participation on the level of budget slack reduction and is in quacy moderation. Suggestions for further research should be to examine the entire regional apparatus organization (OPD) in Sijunjung Regency to see budget slack in the budget preparation process and how employee involvement and information can reduce gaps in employee participation in budget preparation. In the participatory budgeting process, the government must consider the factors that influence budget participation, which can have an impact on budgetary slack, such as job involvement and job relevant information.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are often considered significant in developing countries like Indonesia. However, there are several problems regarding the quality of human resources and technical and non-technical skills, weaknesses in seizing opportunities, and lack of innovation. For this reason, SMEs need to be continuously developed both in quantity and quality, especially in improving their performance to contribute to economic development. Therefore, this study examines the factors directly or indirectly related to improving its performance. This study empirically predicts that strategic agility can influence entrepreneurial innovation and organizational learning. Furthermore, this study proposes a relationship between strategic agility, entrepreneurial innovation, and organizational learning on performance in SMEs. This research was conducted by taking samples from SMEs in the food and beverage, fashion, service, and other sectors. Sampling was conducted on 110 owners or managers of UKM in the Bandung, Garut, and Sumedang areas. Data analysis in this study used SEM-PLS. The results show that strategic agility positively relates to entrepreneurial innovation and organizational learning. Then, these findings show that organizational learning has the most significant influence on performance compared to strategic agility and entrepreneurial innovation. This study implies that SMEs can respond quickly to external changes, find creative solutions, and have agile capabilities in work processes. Recommendations for further research include environmental uncertainty moderating variables linking strategic agility and performance.
