Abstract

As a sector anticipated to prosper in the long run, the Indonesian tourism industry should create a sustainable tourism model that takes into account the social, environmental, and economic impacts both now and in the future, while addressing the needs of local communities, the environment, the industry, and visitors. Considering that Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population, implementing halal tourism is very important for Muslim tourists in Indonesia. Halal tourism is a concept that focuses on meeting the essential needs of Muslims at tourist destinations, including provisions for worship, purification, and travel in accordance with Sharia law. This study aims to examine the impact of sustainable and halal tourism on tourist satisfaction within the Mandalika Special Economic Zone. This study was conducted among 200 Muslim tourists who visited the Mandalika Special Economic Zone by administering an online questionnaire via Google Forms. The collected data were analyzed using PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling), which revealed that sustainable tourism significantly impacts halal tourism. In turn, halal tourism significantly affects tourists' perceived value, which in turn significantly influences tourist satisfaction. Therefore, to achieve or increase tourist satisfaction, it is necessary to increase sustainable tourism, halal tourism, and tourist perceived value.

Abstract

In today's competitive and dynamic business environment, employee retention and engagement are critical challenges, particularly in organizations with a large millennial workforce. This study aims to analyze the effects of servant leadership and career development policy on employee engagement, employee voice behavior, and employee retention among millennial employees at PT. Petrokimia Gresik, while also examining gender as a moderating variable. Utilizing a quantitative approach, this explanatory study was conducted with a sample of 256 employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected from employees across various departments at PT. Petrokimia Gresik was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The study employs the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory as a theoretical framework to investigate the psychological and behavioral responses elicited by organizational stimuli, including leadership practices and career development policies. The results reveal that both servant leadership and structured career development policy significantly enhance employee engagement, promote employee voice behavior, and increase retention rates. It is found that gender does not significantly moderate the relationship between employee engagement and employee voice behavior; however, it plays a significant role in moderating the effect of employee voice behavior on retention. According to these results, organizations that prioritize employee-oriented leadership and provide clear career development opportunities foster a work environment supporting active participation and commitment. The practical implication of this study is that companies should integrate the principles of servant leadership and develop a systematic career development framework within their human resource strategies to cultivate a loyal and engaged workforce aligned with the organization's long-term goals.

Abstract

In a rapidly evolving business environment, firms are increasingly challenged to adapt and innovate to maintain competitiveness. Green supply chain integration has emerged as a strategic approach for firms to align operational processes with sustainability objectives. At the same time, organizational resilience is recognized as a critical capability for navigating environmental and market disruptions. Despite the growing importance of these factors, studies exploring their combined impact on sustainable business performance remain limited. Grounded in dynamic capabilities theory, this study investigates the roles of green competitive advantage and organizational resilience in fostering sustainable performance through an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design. Initially, a quantitative survey involving 450 SME managers in Madura was conducted to empirically test the research model using structural equation modeling (SEM). Subsequently, qualitative interviews with selected managers provided nuanced insights into the mechanisms underpinning these relationships. Findings affirm that green supply chain integration and organizational resilience significantly enhance sustainable business performance, with green competitive advantage serving as a key intermediary that strengthens this relationship. This study demonstrates that embedding green supply chain practices directly into core business strategies improves SMEs' adaptability to environmental changes and increases operational efficiency, providing measurable competitive advantages in dynamic market environments.
