The objects taken in this research were 37 mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2013-2017. The results of financial ratio analysis using liquidity ratios, activity ratios, solvency ratios, profitability ratios and DuPont analysis were fluctuating, shown by the increase and decrease in most mining companies during the research period. The higher the liquidity ratio, the higher the safety level of the company and vice versa. The higher the activity ratio, the higher the efficiency of the company and vice versa. A high solvency ratio is not good for the company because the loan will be greater, so the risk will be greater as well and vice versa. The higher the profitability ratio, the better the operating conditions of the company in generating profits and vice versa. Based on DuPont analysis, great ROI and ROE is good for the company because its management in assetsthat generate operating profit will be better too.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the role of employee development carried out by garment companies to minimize the emergence of turnover intention among garment workers in Indonesia. This study using survey data conducted by the collaborations between the University of Indonesia (UI), Tufts University (TU), Better Work-ILO (BW) and Real-TimeAnalytics (RTA) Vietnam, which is collected from 109 garment companies and 2580 respondents in the garment sector. The data were analyzed using structural equation models (SEM) with Lisrel 8.8. The results show that employee development is able to increase the growth mindset and empowerment perceived by workers, therefore reduce turnover intention among workers in the garment industry. However, the findings also reveal that it turns out that employee development cannot improve the job security perceived by workers. These results provide significant input to human resource development in Indonesia. Further studies may consider the effect of the growth mindset on job security. It is expected that employee development will have a positive impact on empowerment as well as job security through a growth mindset which ultimately minimizing the emergence of turnover intention.

Abstract

To create hotel customer satisfaction, OCB is needed constantly so that employ- ees themselves have expectations that exceed customer expectations themselves. As such, employees should continue to conduct OCB so that customers are satisfied with the high quality services shown by hotel employees. Therefore, it can be assumed that OCB has a fairly close relationship with the challenges of the hospitality industry services, so the understanding of OCB and its antecedent variables is important for the functioning of hotels effectively and efficiently. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as a mediator between organizational commitmentand employee performance. The number of research samples is 144 employees of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels in Surabaya. Research data was collected through questionnaires and processed using SmartPLS software. Three findings generated from this study are that organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance both directly and through OCB as mediation, and OCB itself also directly has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of this study are also very significant in enriching the OCB research area because it provides a more meaningful OCB measurement framework in the service industry, with special emphasis on the hospitality industry especially in Surabaya. This is very important because OCB began to gain popularity in the hospitality discipline recently.

Based on data analysis, the results of the study indicate that the indicators in this study are valid and reliable. In the classical assumption test of normally distributed data, heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity do not occur. The results of the path analysis test are Website Quality which has a significant effect on Customer Satisfaction with a direct effect greater than the indirect influence of Website Quality on Customer Satisfaction through Company Performance.
