Menara Riau: Jurnal Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam (Print ISSN: 2085-8833 | Online ISSN: 2797-6963), merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau sejak tahun 2004. Jurnal Menara Riau ini semula merupakan jurnal yang berada di bawah Lembaga Pengabdian Masyarakat dan hanya memuat hasil riset ilmiah dosen dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Namun sejak terjadinya peleburan Lembaga Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPM) ke dalam Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM), maka jurnal Menara Riau fokus mempublikasikan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan berbagai pendekatan dari berbagai disiplin ilmu baik agama, sosial humaniora, maupun sains dan teknologi. Mulai terbitan tahun 2020 Menara Riau diterbitkan dua kali setahun (April dan Oktober)

Abstract

A team of students of the Community Service Program, in collaboration with its lecturers, carried out Community Service in Cipicung Village, Jatigede District, Sumedang Regency, with the theme of journalistic content management and website development training for tourist areas. This Community Service aims to improve the ability of website managers to promote Jatigede's tourism potential more effectively, equip managers with journalistic content creation skills to have attractive information and encourage the community to participate and become the main actors in sustainably promoting Jatigede tourist destinations. The implementation method was carried out through lectures, discussions, practices and simulations. These collaborative community service activities produced four articles contents and four videos contents uploaded to the Jatigede District website and YouTube with the theme of potential, superior products, the benefits of mango “gedong gincu”, Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) products and the tourism potential of Al-Kamil Mosque. In addition, the training results also showed an increase in the knowledge and ability of village and sub-district website managers in Jatigede. This activity also received a positive and sustainable response as a fostered area.

Abstract

Teenage mosques are still unable to maximize their role in society amid the onslaught of various information from the media which is rife with miss-information and dis-information. this phenomenon requires the participation of mosque-based youth is needed to maintain the character of the nation's generation in social media (social media). It is time for mosque youth to take part in the form of community service to further see the real reality. Because of the dramatic reality at this time the existence of the mosque only used for worshiping the God. This research uses Community Based Research (CBR) methods starting from Laying the Foundation, Planning, Information Gathering and Acting on Finding. The theory used as a knife of analysis is basic literacy, digital literacy to the concept of ten digital literacy. The results of the study showed that mosque youths already possessed several digital literacy competencies, however, they were still unable to fulfill production and collaboration competencies when carrying out their functions as mosque youth in a heterogeneous society with levels of education, age, ethnicity and religion. For this reason, a movement is needed related to digital literacy counseling to mosque youth so that they can be the driving force of digital literacy in society.

Abstract

MSMEs that develop become economic pillars that are able to survive the economic crisis and can provide employment opportunities so that they can increase economic growth. For this reason, neat and correct financial management is needed. The aim of this activity is to increase knowledge and understanding of financial management for food processed MSMEs in the Tampan Pekanbaru sub-district, and provide direct training to create good and correct financial management. The methods used are lectures, discussions, practice and evaluation of success. The results of the activity stated that participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in the training so that they could increase their knowledge and understanding regarding financial management and were motivated to practice financial management in their business operational activities. They know the importance of financial management which provides information on financial health conditions which are used as a basis for making decisions regarding financial problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to help madrasahs meet the stages and indicators of child-friendly schools, so that madrasahs become a safe and comfortable place for children who are ultimately able to improve the quality and quality of madrasahs. This method of service uses the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) approach. Through the ABCD approach, madrasah assets are empowered in the form of human resources and existing facilities to realize child-friendly schools. The target of this service is 22 madrasahs in the city of Pekanbaru starting from level 8 Raudhatul Athfal, 6 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, 4 Madrasah Tsanawiyyah and 4 Madrasah Aliyah. Program evaluation is carried out through direct observation and filling out an online questionnaire (G-Form). The result of this service is to provide assistance to 22 madrasahs starting from stage 1) Pre-Mentoring; coordination with related parties 2) Implementation of Assistance; with several activities, namely: (a) carrying out joint declarations, (b) training on madrasah policy formulation towards CFS, (c) direct assistance to RAs and Madrasahs, (d) giving rewards to 6 madrasahs that have commitment and MAU towards Child Friendly Education units. This mentoring evaluation shows the achievement of the target of declaring 22 madrasahs towards child-friendly schools, school principals can understand the formulation of madrasah policies towards CFS, and increase the motivation of madrasahs to go to CFS with rewards.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide assistance in optimizing branding on Kue Bangkit products to be able to maintain the sustainability of its business Kue bangkit is usually consumed as a complementary food and mandatory snack for the people of Kundur Island during religious holidays such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, and Chinese New Year. The prospects for traditional foods such as Kue Bangkit to develop at this time are actually quite good because such rapid communication and information technology can improve the promotion of its development. The method carried out in this devotion is the method of lectures and discussions or questions and answers. The socialization program on optimizing branding on local products Kue Bangkit typical of Kundur Islands goes through 4 stages, namely the licensing, preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. This activity provides positive results in understanding and strengthening branding for Kue entrepreneurs rising in the Kundur area, with this activity entrepreneurs increasingly understand and can manage their business better.

Abstract

Learning media is very important to develop in the world of education. However, there are still many teachers who have not developed media innovatively and in accordance with learning materials. The use of 3D media needs to be increased because students can actually practice mathematics learning spatial material. This community service is aimed at improving teachers' skills in creating learning methods so that they can provide more interactive learning for students. The service method is carried out using PAR (Participatory Action Research) or carried out in a participatory manner with residents at SDN 01 Sei Tatas Hilir school in the use of 3D space-building media. The results of this service activity were (1) getting a positive response from the school, (2) the teacher felt helped by the presence of 3D learning media in the building, (3) students participated in the learning enthusiastically and actively responded when the teacher provided the material.

Abstract

Spiritual Development of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Children is an important aspect in forming the character of the younger generation. This research explores the efforts made in Kalampangan Subdistrict to improve the spiritual dimension of children through the 2023 Sholeh Children's Festival Program. This research aims to understand the impact of this program on the spiritual development of elementary school children in the area. This research method uses PAR (Participatory Action Research) by involving all members of KKN group 89 A and the Kalampangan community by holding a competition to measure changes in the understanding of spiritual, moral and ethical values among elementary/MI children. The research results show that the 2023 Sholeh Children's Festival Program has a significant positive impact in increasing children's spiritual awareness, developing a sense of empathy, and strengthening good values. This research makes an important contribution to understanding how programs such as the 2023 Sholeh Children's Festival can be an effective means of building the spiritual foundations of children at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level.
