Abstract

Motoric competence is a competency that requires understanding in carrying out physical activities. However, in the learning process motor competence is carried out without the support of understanding so that it results in students experiencing difficulties and confusion in executing the motor skills they have when in a different environment during training or learning. The research aims to measure the success of stimulation of motor competence by using the field games approach. The research was conducted in the pre-experimental type with the One Group Pretest Posttest Designs type. The experiment was conducted on twelve elementary school students in fourteen meetings. The research involved twelve fourth grade elementary school students who were taken randomly by selecting numbers at random. The instrument for measuring students' motor skills used the Test of Gross Motor Development revision 2 edition (TGMD-2) and understanding of playing using the Games Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) and the measurement results were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive method. The results showed that there had been an increase in the rating of students' motor skills and the average score of students' games performance. This result is due to the learning that is carried out using the field games approach which is able to encourage students to be active in making movements and facilitating metacognition processes such as decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The conclusion of learning done with the field games approach can stimulate students' motor competence

Abstract

The modern tennis games is characterized by an emphasis on quickness and strength. Rapid and multidirectional changes in the ball's speed necessitate a high level of agility. This study aimed to determine the impact of hexagon drill training on the agility of male junior tennis players. This research is a quantitative type with experimental methods. The research design uses a one group pre-test and post-test design. The population in this study were junior male tennis players in Jawa Tengah with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The characteristics of the sample determined by the researcher were male, athletes under 18 years of age, and practicing in the Jawa Tengah area. The number of samples used in the study was 40 people. Data analysis used the t-test by first carrying out the normality test and homogeneity test. The results of the data normality test in this study were 0.06 > 0.05 (0.06 greater than 0.05), which means that the data is normally distributed in the population frequency. The results of the homogeneity test in this study were 0.15 > 0.05 (0.15 greater than 0.05), which means the data is homogeneous. After the data is normally distributed and homogeneous, the researcher continues data processing, namely the t-test. The results of the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 so it was less than 0.05 or 0.000 <0.05 so there was a significant effect. The conclusion is that the hexagon drill exercise has an effect on increasing agility in junior men's tennis players in Central Java. Suggestions from researchers are that coaches can apply hexagon drill exercises to train junior tennis players under the age of 18 years.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out other benefits of scuba diving for persons with physical disabilities through a systematic literature review. The technique used in this research is a literature study. The literature analysis used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method. A total of seven articles were selected for review. A review of articles shows that diving can be treated as a multidimensional therapy in water, allowing people with and without disabilities to share activities together. Such rehabilitation involves comprehensive stimulation of the human body through social interaction through participation in class, influencing the mental and physical environment to regain awareness of one's own body and the movements one can perform, to feel one's own body position and the possibility of providing direction of motion and the benefits of increasing self-reliance in water. Utilization the aquatic environment allows muscle relaxation, which, as a result, can have a positive effect on spasticity and often increase the very limited range of motion of joints in a natural environment allowing increased movement and coordination in a much easier manner than in a terrestrial environment. A person who scuba dives could learn and demonstrate independence by keeping himself safe, as well as the safety of his colleagues. Diving encourages a person to spend time with other people and, as such, provides an opportunity to be in a group whose members include people without disabilities, as well as people with locomotor system dysfunction, providing a sense of affiliation with the group and responsibility for it. members and create a positive mental state.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention CDC, stated that obesity prevalence increased by 52%. In Indonesia, the prevalence of obesity is 21.8%. Obesity triggers an increase in pro-inflammatory cytokines, which induces chronic inflammation both locally and systemically, which can cause health problems, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, metabolite syndrome, and an increased risk of infection. One of the components of obesity management is increasing physical activity. One of the domains of physical activity is exercise. Exercise with the appropriate frequency, duration, intensity, type, and periodization can influence cytokine modulation so that it can reduce systemic inflammation and increase physical fitness. This evidence-based case report (EBCR) aims to determine the type of exercise periodization in obesity management and its effect on health-related fitness. The process of searching for literature on EBCR uses the PRISMA method on 3 databases, namely: PubMed, EBSCOhost, and ProQuest. From the search results, it was found that the combination of endurance and strength training exercises with linear periodization 3 times a week, was found to be better in improving fitness in obese people. Linear periodization increases cardiopulmonary fitness with a relative mean difference of 17.8(0.3 to 35.3) %, maximal strength with 1 RM bench press and 1 RM leg press test also increased, and also reduce body fat percentage about 2.1(-4.8 to 0.5) %. Thus, the combination of strength and cardiorespiratory exercise with linear periodization gives a positive response to the components of health-related fitness in obese people.

Abstract

Fencing is a sport that requires a maximum physical component so that in this study the aim was to test and find out the effect of variations in stair climbing exercises in improving floret/foil balestra fencing weapons. This study used a test-experiment with the research design "Single-Group Pretest-Posttest Design". The research sample consisted of 20 people, coming from students (elective course (MKP) Fencing) of a state university in eastern Indonesia (male and female) who were then divided into training groups through random sampling technique. The balestra fence measurement tool for floret/foil type weapons uses the Kuhadja fencing skills test. Pretest and posttest results were analyzed using the influence test (t-test). The research location is at the Football Stadium (a stadium grandstand with 25 steps). Results; 1) there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest groups with the various stair climbing exercises towards increasing the ability to balestra floret fencing weapons. 2) There is a significant difference between the posttest (after treatment) of varied stair climbing training and the control group in increasing the ability to balestra floret fencing weapons. We estimate that this increase is the result of increased leg muscle strength, speed, and explosive power obtained through varied stair climbing exercises.
