Abstract

Antioxidant Activity Test Of Red Belt Leaf Extract (Piper crocatum) And Black Belt Leaf (Piper betle var nigra) Using The DPPH Method. Betel leaves (Piper betle L.) are among the most important agricultural products in the world, because the need for betel leaves as a raw material for traditional medicine has increased in the last decade. Betel leaves are known to contain phenolic compounds which have the potential to act as antioxidants. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of extracts of red betel leaves (piper crocatum) and black betel leaves (piper betle var nigra) using the dpph (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrihydrazyl) method. The research results showed that the antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of red betel leaves, IC50, was 45,92 μg/mL, the ethanol extract of black betel leaves obtained an IC50 value of 87,09 μg/mL, and the vitamin C comparator obtained an IC50 value of 4,11. Abstract

The project-based chemistry learning process can be carried out by studying phenomena in the surrounding environment so that students are interested and actively involved in solving problems given by the teacher related to chemical concepts. One of the alternative teaching materials that can be used as support is Student Worksheet. This study aims to determine the validity category of project-based learning-based green chemistry student worksheets for phase E at SMAN 9 Padang that have been developed. This type of research is Educational Design Research (EDR) using the Plomp development model. Plomp's development model consists of the stages of preliminary research, prototyping and assessment, but in this study it is limited to the prototype III stage. The validity instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of content and construct validity. The results of the validity in this study obtained an average V value of 0.85 with the valid category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the student worksheets developed are valid. DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v12.i3.2023.12

Abstract

Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Elektronik Peserta Didik (E-Lkpd) Berbasis Literasi Sains Dalam Konteks Pewarnaan Kain Batik Pada Bahan Ikatan Kimia . Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan pendidikan yang menjadi pertimbangan pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran. Berbagai inovasi pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan dikembangkan oleh para pendidik sebagai sarana penting dalam tumbuh kembangnya kegiatan pengajaran. Pembelajaran kimia merupakan materi yang mempelajari konsep-konsep dasar yang bersifat abstrak. Guru sebagai fasilitator diharapkan mampu membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep kimia abstrak dengan mengaitkan materi kimia dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu penerapan ilmu kimia dalam kehidupan sehari-hari adalah pewarnaan kain batik yang erat kaitannya dengan pembentukan ikatan kimia pada proses pembuatannya. Banyaknya permasalahan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, literasi sains merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting dan diperlukan dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini. Hasil wawancara dengan guru kimia SMA Swasta Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa menyatakan bahwa guru belum pernah mengembangkan e-LKPD berbasis literasi sains dengan konteks pewarnaan kain batik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur hasil validasi ahli e-LKPD, mengkaji respon guru terhadap e-LKPD, dan mengkaji respon siswa terhadap e-LKPD. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) yaitu model pengembangan 4D. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 35 siswa dalam 1 kelas, 2 orang guru kimia, dan 4 validator ahli. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah (1) wawancara, (2) angket respon guru dan respon siswa, dan (3) validasi ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan e-LKPD berbasis literasi sains konteks pewarnaan kain batik pada materi ikatan kimia layak digunakan dengan hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 84,1% termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak, dan hasil validasi ahli media sebesar 87,75% termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain interactive e-module products using conceptual change text strategies to reduce student misconceptions on the material colligative properties of solutions that are suitable for use. The colligative nature of solutions is a chemical material that is considered difficult because it is abstract and complex, causing students to find it difficult to understand the material. Learners who have difficulty in understanding the material's colligative properties of solutions can lead to misconceptions. To reduce misconceptions, an effort is needed, namely using a conceptual change text strategy packaged in the form of electronic learning media such as interactive e-modules. This study was prepared using research and development (R&D) research methods development model by Borg and Gall with descriptive analysis based on mode and shift misconceptions. Interactive e-module using conceptual change text strategy to reduce students' misconceptions on the material colligative properties of solutions are declared feasible based on content validity and construct, practicality and effectiveness. The validity of the content and construct obtained 4 or valid modes, practicality with a percentage of response questionnaire sheets of 95.8% or very practical and the percentage of observation sheets of student activities of 92.94% or very practical, and effectiveness in terms of the results of shifting misconceptions obtained by 87.36%. The results showed that the interactive e-module using the conceptual change text strategy to reduce students' misconceptions on the material colligative properties of the solution was declared feasible for useDOI: 10.23960/jppk.v12.i3.2023.03

Abstract

. This research aims to improve the chemistry learning outcomes of X.3 students at SMA Negeri 5 Palembang through the TaRL approach. The type of data used is quantitative and qualitative data. Qualitative through direct observation, observation instruments and documentation. Meanwhile, quantitative is obtained through calculating the percentage of pre-cycle, cycle I and II using the criteria for achieving learning objectives (KKTP). Student learning outcomes 4 category: Proficient, Competent, Developing and Needs Guidance. After the research, there was an increase in the learning outcomes of students in the category requiring guidance from the pre-cycle, decreasing from 12 students (34%), to 4 students (11%) in cycle I, and 0 students (0%) in cycle II. On Developing category pre-cycle 12 students (26%), becoming 6 students (17%) in cycle I, and 3participantstudents (9%) in cycle II. For the proficient category, there was an increase starting from 8 students (23%) in the pre-cycle, to 10 students (29%) in cycle I, and 17 students (34%) in cycle II. Abstract

Development the Test Items Based on High Order Thinking Skills in Chemical Equilibrium Materials Using Rasch Model. Objectives:This study aims to develop HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) based items on chemical equilibrium material using the Rasch model. Methods: The type of research used is research and development through the ADDIE model. Respondents in the study were 25 students of class XII at the Superior High School in North Sumatra, distinguished by gender and grade X. Findings: The test items developed consisted of 10 questions that had gone through the validation stage by experts and then tested and analyzed using the Winsteps software. Conclusion: Content validation obtained 100% fit indexed items; the reliability of the person category is sufficient and the item is in the good category with Cronbach α=0.72 (good); the value of separation person (1.27) is in the weak category and item (2.49) is in the good category; Item difficulty levels are sorted from very easy: medium: difficult: very difficult. Respondents with codes 02LO and 24LO (logit +4.36) are respondents with the highest ability, codes 18PR and 19PR (logit -1.97) are respondents with the lowest ability. Abstract

     The learning model is one of the important things that must be prepared by an educator in learning process. One effort to achieve value in understanding concepts and learning outcomes can be done by implementing active, creative, fun and effective learning models in the classroom. The innovation that can be carried out is by implementing the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) learning model. The purpose of this research to improve learning outcomes, determine student activities and responses to the subject of colloid systems using the teams games torunament (TGT) learning model in class XI at SMAN 1 Lhoknga Aceh Besar. The design used in this research was nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The subjects of this research were class XI IA1 and class XI IA2, totaling 24 students. Research data was obtained from learning outcomes tests. observation of student activities, and provide student response questionnaires. The research results show that 1) The use of the teams games tournament (TGT) learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the Colloid System material at SMAN 1 Lhoknga Aceh Besar with an average score of 79,54%. 2) Student activity in teaching and learning activities through the use of the teams games tournament (TGT) learning model at the first meeting obtained a percentage of 75%, while at the second meeting student activity increased with a percentage of 90%. 3) Student responses to the use of the teams games tournament (TGT) learning model in the questionnaire distributed at the end of the lesson were obtained sequentially, namely strongly agree 28%, agree 58% and disagree 14%.Keywords: Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model, learning outcomes, colloid system  DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13i2.29811

Abstract

Tulungagung Batik Ethnoscience-Oriented E-Module Design On Chemical Bonding Materials. As time goes by, the field of education requires innovation in learning, especially in chemistry subjects, which does not diminish the culture inherent in Indonesia. Therefore, innovation is needed in the form of an ethnoscience-oriented e-module with the theme of Tulungagung batik culture on chemical bonding. The aim of this research is to create a product that adapts to the times but does not fade the culture, to find out the feasibility of this e-module product and to find out the level of student response to this e-module. This research uses the RnD (Research and Development) research method or research and development with a development model, namely 4D which was modified into 3D by Thiagarajan. The instrument used was a student response questionnaire. The results of this research on the feasibility aspect of the material got a percentage of 90% and on the aspect of media feasibility got a percentage of 94% with very feasible criteria, while the student responses showed a percentage of 86%. Abstract

Application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Assited by Powtoon Video Media on Student learning Activities and Outcomes on Periodic System of Elements Material. This research aims to (1) Knowing that the learning outcomes and learning activities of students who are taught with the help of PowerPoint animation video media are higher than the chemistry learning outcomes of students who are taught with the help of PowerPoint media. (2) Knowing that there is a correlation between activities and student learning outcomes.The research population was all class X high school studentsDHARMAWANGSA MEDAN consists of 9 classes, with a purposive sampling method. The results obtained are in (1) The learning results using the right-hand t test obtained tcount > ttable = 3.61 > 1.67, so the learning outcomes of students taught using the PBL model assisted by Powtoon Video Media are higher than the learning outcomes of students taught with the PBL model assisted by Powerpoint Media. (2) Learning activity data shows that the value of tcount > ttable = 1.80 > 1.67, so the learning activities of students taught using the PBL model assisted by Powtoon Video Media are higher than the learning outcomes of students taught using the PBL  model assisted by Powerpoint Media in Periodic System of Elements material, (3) the results of the correlation test show that the value of rcount > rtable = 0.73 > 0.36, meaning there is a significant correlation between activities and student learning outcomes taught using the PBL model assisted by Powtoon Video Media in the Periodic System material Element with a coefficient of determination of 54%.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Powtoon, Learning Outcomes, Learning Activities,Periodic System Of ElementsDOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i1.2024.15

Abstract

This implementation research is to determine the comparison of the improvement of learning outcomes and interest of students taught by using electronic module teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning and students taught by using high school chemistry textbook teaching materials and to determine the relationship between interest and the improvement of student learning outcomes in reaction rate material class XI at SMA Negeri 14 Medan. This research is a pure experimental research with pretest-posttest control group desaign design. Samples in the study were taken 2 classes using random sampling technique, namely class XI IPA 5 as an experimental class taught using PBL-based electronic module teaching materials and class XI IPA 2 as a control class taught using high school chemistry textbook teaching materials. The application of electronic module teaching materials is measured through the difference in the average n-Gain of student learning outcomes and interest, both in the experimental and control classes. The results showed that the increase in student learning outcomes and interest in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. The average increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class was 0.71 with an increase in interest of 0.54 and an increase in learning outcomes in the control class was 0.478 with an increase in interest of 0.31. Then, there is a correlation between interest and the improvement of student learning outcomes taught using PBL-based electronic module teaching materials of 0.764 with a high category.Keywords: PBL-based electronic modules, learning outcomes, learning interestDOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i1.2024.06
