Abstract

Language is a sound system used by ethnic groups in expressing their desires with the applicable rules. The use of Sasak loanwords from Arabic through written and spoken language causes a change in writing in the Sasak language loanwords from Arabic. This causes a change in the form of the Arabic loanword into the Sasak language, because these two languages are two different languages. These changes can occur in phonological and morphological patterns. The two languages in the realm of morphology have different sequences and syllables in the occurrence of word formation, so there is a change in word class from the previous word class in syllables. Likewise at the phonological level, namely in the field of phonemes, both languages have their own rules. The entry of Islam in the Sasak lands became a determining factor for the Arabic language until it was heard by the Sasak people. The fact that the Qur'an as the foundation and source of Islamic law has made Arabic known as the Islamic language, until the implementation of worship, both obligatory and sunnah prayers using Arabic. With the close relationship between Islam and Arabic, where Islam spreads, Arabic is also starting to be known and used by the local community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran bahasa Arab Fusha dan untuk mengetahui pembelajaranya di Indonesia. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Objek penelitian adalah Pesantren di Indonesia dengan sampel pesantren Darul Lughoh. Pemerolehan data melalui wawancara dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran bahasa Arab Fushah di Indonesia terbadi menjadi dua bagian yaitu periode klasik dan periode modern. Periode klasik dengan membaca kitab di depan santri secara bersama-sama (bandongan), secara individu (sorogan), dan menghafal kosa kata. Adapun periode modern dengan cara menggunakan media sosial berbasis teknologi, youtube, game, debat, diskusi, kegiatan siswa, dan kemah berbahasa (language came)

Abstract

Bahasa Arab sebagai bahasa Islam memberi pengaruh pada bahasa Melayu. Tulisan Jawi merupakan salah satu perwujudan pengaruh bahasa Arab. Ia digunakan selama berabad-abad sejak diterimanya Islam secara luas oleh masyarkat Nusantara pada abad ke-12. Kemudian ia diganti dengan aksara Romawi setelah kedatangan penjajah Barat. Akhirnya tulisan Jawi semakin tersingkir dan kurang mendapat perhatian masyarakat. Terdapat banyak kajian tentang tulisan Jawi, tetapi lebih banyak menyoroti fenomena benturan bahasa, dan belum mengungkap secara spesifik tentang benturan ideologi di balik konversinya ke aksra Romawi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas benturan ideologi dalam rentetan sejarah pergantian Jawi ke Romawi, juga peranan penguasa di dalamya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research, di mana sumber data primer berupa buku dan junral penelititan terdahulu, dan dokumen-dokumen tertulis. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa telah terjadi benturan ideologi dalam pergantian tulisan Jawi ke aksara Romawi di Nusantara. Pihak penjajah saat itu memainkan peranan penting. Selain itu, Otoritas penguasa dan pemangku kebijakan juga ikut terlibat sehingga Jawi mengalami krisis. Oleh karena itu, keterlibatan penguasa secara total amat diharapakan dalam upaya revitalisasi dan reaktualsasi tulisan Jawi dengan membuat keputusan penggunaan kembali sebagaimana dulu membuat keputusan penggantian Jawi ke aksara Romawi. Abstract

Islamic Boarding School Al-Iman for girls seeks to realize the reading skills of students through teaching Muthola'ah using the book “Al-Qiro'ah Arrosyidah” starting from second grade to sixth grade. For this reason, Islamic Boarding School Al-Iman for girls establishes standard methods and steps for teaching Muthola'ah for all grade levels, so that teachers can adapt the teaching and learning process to the goals set by the boarding school. This prompted researchers to further research the teaching Muthola'ah in second grade. This study aims to explain the teaching of reading skills for the second grade at the Islamic Boarding School Al-Iman for girls. The method used is a descriptive method by thoroughly explaining the teaching of reading skills at the Islamic Boarding School Al-Iman for girls.

Abstract

Designing creative and interesting nahwu material based on Instagram content can add methods or strategies to the learning process so that students feel not bored following the learning process. With an interesting learning method, students more easily understand the material delivered by educators. The Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D model is used. The 4D model consists of 4 stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results showed that at the define stage, students really need varied nahwu learning, such as in the form of content on social media that looks more interesting. At the design stage, researchers begin to design nahwu material so that students can use it as a learning reference. The next research will carry out the next two stages, namely development and disseminate.

Abstract

Internet slang is often used in informal communication. The purpose of this research is to find out what are the factors of students of 4th grade English Language and Education UIN Mataram in using internet slang, and students perceive toward the use of internet slang in communication. This research used qualitative case study method to obtain quantitative data, this research using 2 instruments which are questionnaires and interviews. The author distributed questionnaires to 53 respondents consisting of 4 classes, namely classes A, B, C, and D in collecting data. The results showed that more than half of the respondents said that there are 5 factors that influence them, which are; 1. Social status, 2. Age, 3. Social Distance of Familiarity, 4. Situations, and 5. Media and Popular Culture, next findings There are 3 students' perspectives about the internet slang, first is the desire to appear cool, second is facilitate communication, the last is conceal information from others. Another discovery is 32 respondents (60.37%) understand the term of internet and 17 respondents (32.08%) do not understand the term of slang, it can be concluded that students at 4th Grade Uin Mataram mostly understand the terms of Internet slang

Abstract

This research deals with the application of teaching the Arabic language to non-Arab beginners using the new book (Takalam Al Arabiyah), which was written by the researcher himself. This research aims to introduce the book and explain its contents, clarify the advantages of the book over other books, and explain the students’ response to teaching with the book. The researcher will rely on the descriptive approach in this research to know the students’ response to teaching with the book through the questionnaire tool. At the end of it, the researcher concluded that the book (Takalam Al Arabiyah) is suitable for non-Arabic beginners in terms of its content, design, presentation method and objectives. Thus, this book can be an educational material for beginning students and a reference for teachers who want a new teaching book as well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode "Spinning Wheel" dalam meningkatkan kecakapan kosakata siswa kelas IV di Ma'had Al-Mujtama' Al-Islami, Sadao, Songkhla, Thailand. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex post facto. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis untuk menilai pengaruh penggunaan media "Spinning Wheel" terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media "Spinning Wheel" terbukti sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kecakapan kosakata siswa, dengan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman dan penggunaan kosakata dalam pembelajaran bahasa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media ini merupakan metode yang efisien dan menarik untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam penguasaan kosakata.

Abstract

This study is entitled “Application of Make A Match cooperative learning Model to improve Arabic vocabulary mastery of students in class VA MIN 5 Jembrana academic year 2023/2024". This study departs from the lack of models used by teachers, because teachers only as a transmitter of information through a monotonous learning model while students only as listeners without being able to think. Low student learning activities have an impact on the mastery of students who are less than optimal. The formulation of the problem in this study is (1) How the application of the Make A Match model in improving the Arabic vocabulary of students in Class 5A MIN 5 Jembrana Kecamatan Negara Kabupaten Jembrana academic year 2023/2024 (2) whether the use of the Make a Match model can improve students ' Arabic vocabulary. This study aims (1) to determine the activities of teachers and students in the application of Make A Match model (2) to determine the mastery of students in the application of Make a Match model. This study is a class action research conducted in two cycles with test instruments, observation and documentation. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class VA MIN 5 Jembrana academic year 2023/2024 which amounted to 30 students. The results of this study indicate that the use of the Make A Match learning model can improve students ' mastery of Arabic vocabulary for the 2023/2024 school year. Students ' mastery of Arabic vocabulary based on test scores increased by 13.3% from pre-cycle 43.3% (13 students) to 56.6% (17 students) in cycle I, then increased by 33.4% from cycle I 56, 6% (17 students) to 90.0% (27 students) in Cycle II. The conclusion of this study is the use of Make A Match learning model can improve the mastery of Arabic vocabulary VA class students MIN 5 Jembrana.

Abstract

This paper seeks to explain how students enrolled in the Arabic Language Study Programme at the State Islamic University of Mataram acquire Arabic speech rhythm. The research method utilised was a quantitative descriptive method termed as a survey study which covered 91 respondents comprising of 45% males and 55% females and consisting of the 2020 (40%), 2021 (35%) and 2022 (25%). The findings indicated that around 15% of the respondents are found to be very excellent in the mastery of Arabic rhythms, 40% moderate, 30% poor mastery while 15% did not master Arabic rhythms at all. Other than the place of residence, the factors that contribute to the mastery of speech rhythm are educational background, training frequency and exposure to Arabic-language media where the respondents cited all three as contributing factors totalling 100%, with how many percent each contributing further indicating language barriers such as 40%, 35%, and 25% respectively. Bilingualism is crucial for pronunciation; however, students pointed out their inability to acquire accurate bilingualism as one of the reasons for the students’ deficient Arabic pronunciation, which also involves difficulties in controlling the tempo of pronunciation (50%), the syllables during pronunciation (30%), and acquiring an Arabic vocabulary (20%). Students wish for special training (45%), using audio/video learning media (30%), and receiving individual supervision (25%) in order to better their control of the speech rhythm. The study states that even though a reasonable number of students have acquired sufficient control of rhythm, a great number still have problems with controlling the appropriate timing and pressure when speaking. This calls for more natural and rhythmic Arabic speaking through more practical exercises and accompanying media.
