Abstract

Academic literature extensively acknowledges the fragile character of creative and cultural activity. However, it has frequently been invisible to policymakers and decision-makers. As soon as Covid-19 began affecting local and national economies worldwide, numerous business and policy organizations hastened to research the impact of Covid-19 on the creative and cultural industries (CCIs) and their workforce. The report provides insight into these organizations' primary issues through a meta-analysis of the current survey and research programs in the United Kingdom. The findings shed light on prevalent concerns regarding visible and unseen challenges that require attention in this area. The study continues by debating if Covid-19 represents a watershed event for the sector or merely reveals the unsustainable cost of creative and cultural activity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore effective ways of determining the duration of political disenfranchisement of corruption convicts in Indonesia, with the aim that this punishment serves as an effective deterrent effect without violating human rights. The study also aims to analyze the long-term impact of political disenfranchisement of corruption convicts on democratic processes and their reintegration into post-detention society. This research is categorized as normative legal research and uses a philosophical and analytical approach that focuses on rational, critical analytical, and philosophical views on applicable legislation and legal theory. The research utilizes analytical descriptive methods to examine positive law enforcement practices related to these issues. Based on the severity of corruption cases and the rehabilitation potential of convicts, determining the duration of political disenfranchisement is crucial. Fair review and appeal mechanisms should be in place to support the social and political reintegration of ex-convicts. The study also emphasizes the importance of political disenfranchisement as part of a broader legal system to support healthy democracy, transparent governance, and inclusive societies.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to find out and analyze the polluter pays principle concept and its regulations in Indonesia, as well as to find out and analyze the accountability of tin mining business permits for environmental pollution based on the polluter pays principle. Therefore the research method used in this article uses a normative juridical method with a conceptual approach and statutory approach. The article reveals that PPP in Indonesia involves both preventive and repressive measures to address environmental pollution. Polluters are charged with compensation, but regulations like UUPPLH and Minerba Law are more repressive. Implementation involves guarantee, pollution, and conservation funds, funded by APBN/APBD grants/donations. PT. Timah, as the largest tin IUP holder in Babel, has carried out 100% reclamation, but overall, of the total IUP holders in Babel, these funds are apparently not commensurate with the damage that arises as a result of tin mining exploitation activities. And the number of newly reclaimed areas is 1.59% of the total IUP that has been granted. And the form of civil liability is regulated in the UUPPLH, while criminal liability is regulated in the Minerba Law.

The implementation of AI in corporate governance can have a significant impact on the level of governance and create conditions that support better decision-making. However, the use of AI also has negative impacts such as data privacy violations, gender discrimination, reputational loss, and compliance issues. Additionally, there are legal challenges in the application of AI, including the legality of data utilization, accountability, fairness, transparency, security, and data privacy. Through a systematic literature review, including the analysis of articles, legal documents, and relevant regulations, this study aims to analyze the impact of Generative AI on corporate governance, identify potential legal challenges, and investigate relevant legal perspectives in addressing these challenges
