Abstract

Talent wars reveal that a company’s different human capital can provide competitiveness and agility. Organizations should offer an attractive workplace location, considering the target’s expectations. Generation Z accounts for 19.42 percent of the global population and will make up most of the incoming workforce. Using the structural equation modeling (SEM), the study examines data on the intention to apply among 350 nearly-graduated college students. Findings support a significant positive impact of Generation Z job preferences and organizational attractiveness on their intention to apply for jobs. When choosing a career, the top three priorities for respondents are health insurance, a coaching manager, and job security. Recruitment messages in job ads should most likely appear on the company’s social media account, focusing on more psychological and organizational attributes that fit the preferences of generation Z, particularly job benefits. Instead of a mediating effect, person-organization fit and social media direct correlation robustly predict the intention to apply for a job.  Keywords: Generation Z, Attractiveness, P-O fit, Social media, Intention to apply

The results indicated that employee engagement and organizational commitment had no effect on employee performance, while organizational citizenship behavior significantly can affect employee performance. The results also showed that organizational citizenship behavior can mediate both the effect of employee engagement and organizational commitment to employee performance. Abstract

It becomes a challenge for lecturers to provide services to the community through a culture of collaboration that makes it easier for academics to make their contribution to society. This study aims to investigate the relationship between academic culture and collaborative culture as a collaborative academic culture for effective teaching in higher education. This study involved 35 lecturers as respondents in this survey from five universities in Indonesia. A Likert scale was used to collect data from an online survey using Google Forms, and Smart-PLS was applied to evaluate the data. The findings of the study indicate that this climate must be cultivated so that a culture of academic collaborative is achieved optimally. The two concepts are understood implicitly but remain a unity and an interaction that is not confusing in implementation to study the dynamics of institutional behavior and encourage or manage effective teaching improvement. Keywords: Academic collaborative culture, effective teaching, academic culture

Abstract

This study focuses on the role of internship satisfaction as a mediation variable in the relationship between its determinants on Indonesian students’ future career intentions. The factors of internship satisfaction used in this research include individual factors, university support, organizational environment, and job characteristics. Through an online survey, 412 responses related to student internship experience from 159 universities across Indonesia were gathered and analyzed using Structural Equation Methods. The data processing results show that individual and university factors do not significantly affect internship satisfaction and career intention. However, organizational environment and job characteristics positively influence career intention by mediating internship satisfaction. This paper indicates the interesting results, comparing previous studies held in varied contexts. Theoretical and managerial implication for internship practices in Indonesia is also discussed. However, there are some limitations in the contextual conduct of this research, and future research possibilities are also discussed at the end of this paper. Keywords:  Internship satisfaction, Career intention, Organizational environment, Job characteristic

Abstract

Teacher performance today is very much needed so that teachers can overcome and anticipate the challenges of changing times. An organization can make several efforts to improve the performance of its members, such as forming a strong organizational culture and commitment and creating job satisfaction for its members. This study aimed to examine the effect of organizational culture and commitment on teacher performance either directly or mediated by job satisfaction. The study respondents were private vocational high school teachers in Purworejo Regency in Indonesia using purposive sampling. The data was collected using a questionnaire, and then the data was processed using the Smart Partial Least Square method. The results indicate that organizational culture has a positive effect on teacher performance, while organizational commitment does not affect performance. Organizational culture and organizational commitment affect job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has an effect on performance. The conclusion from the results of this study is that organizational culture and organizational commitment, and the mediating role of job satisfaction are important factors for improving teacher performance. Keywords: Teacher performance, Organizational culture, Commitment, Job satisfaction

Abstract

There is an increasing study on the effect of personalized advertising from the traditional approach, but few studies have examined the effect of social media advertising, especially Instagram. Using the partial least structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method, this study examines the effects of personalized advertising perceived by consumers (consisting of perceived personalization, ad credibility, ad skepticism, and ad avoidance) on Instagram toward the reaction of consumers’ attitudes and behavior. This present study involved 421 sample data of Gen-Z Instagram users who had used the social media application in recent weeks during the study. The findings of the study prove that personalized advertising can increase positive responses of consumers (e.g., increase the credibility and attitude of advertisements) and reduce their negative responses to advertisements (e.g., advertising skepticism and advertising avoidance). This positive response is proven to increase the likelihood of consumers buying and their involvement in personalized advertising. The implication and recommendation are also provided in this paper. Keywords: Personalized advertising, ad credibility, ad skepticism, ad avoidance, attitude towards advertising, Instagram, Gen-Z

Online survey from 260 millennials who work in various industries were analyzed to develop an integrative career model, by using partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The results of the study indicated core self-evaluation and emotional intelligence as predictors that have a significant effect on protean careers. In addition, the research found the significant effect of protean career on career resilience, also the significant effect of career resilience on career satisfaction. This study contributes to the development of career literature through a contemporary approach that emphasizes the individual role in career development. Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media called Stelar for practical activities to digital manage archives and create digital letters. The learning media can be accessed by three students who act as leaders, secretaries and archivists. In addition, this learning media is also designed to be monitored by the teacher. Thus, the teacher can provide an assessment in the form of numbers and important notes on the work of students. The type of this research was Research and Development using the ADDIE model, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Based on the results of the application of learning media to 99 students to work on administrative activities using Stelar media, an average score of 88.5% was obtained. In addition, based on filling out a learner questionnaire to determine the effectiveness of learning media, a score of 90% was obtained. Thus, it can be concluded that the Stelar instructional media can be well accepted and is suitable for use in the learning process of Office Administration students in Indonesia. Keywords: Stelar, office administration, learning media, ADDIE

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted from the government management policy in higher education to provide distance learning. This study analyzes the development trend of educational management research publications in e-learning education. The research involved qualitative methods with bibliometric analysis—the data source from the article database in Scopus from 2019-2022. Two points are obtained as the result of this study. First, based on territory, the authors who wrote the most publications on education management in universities during COVID-19 were Aleshkovski, I.A. Gasparishvili, A.T. Krukhmaleva, O.V., reaching 3.5. As a result, with the criteria for the most published territories about education management during the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States occupied 43 publications and received the highest search rating from 2019 to 2022. Second, learning management strategies could be provided by elaborating on e-learning as a teaching tool, integrating e-learning into teaching and learning strategies, working on a pre-strategy, and the executive decision to top-down investments in the information and technology infrastructure. Keywords: The COVID-19 pandemic, Education, Management strategy, Higher education, Learning technique
