Abstract

The leadership of madrasa plays an important role in improving strong madrasa culture since such culture is influenced by how far the leadership of madrasa guides this school activities, both tangible and intangible guiding to establish strong madrasa culture. The strong madrasa culture can be established by four dimensions, namely commitment, capability, cohesion, and consistency. The role of such leadership in improving strong madrasa culture is a series of precess from the entirely madrasa organizational systems.The leadership role of madrasa in developing madrasa culture are to articulate the madrasa vision an mission, the values an belief within madrasa organizational, to create the madrasa symbol which is able to strengthen the unique of madrasa school organizational, to establish such reward system based on the norm and value of madrasa, to build the social and emotional relationship among teacher, student, and society based on the commitment and its mission and to design the structural of madrasaKeywords: leadership, developing, madrasa culture

Abstract

Abstract. Nowdays, english as a subject learned in primary school level. Its because the important of english towards the student. This study was conducted aimed to know the influence of Picture Cards in teaching vocabulary to the third grade of Nida Suksa School, Thailand. The subjects of the research were students in the third grade. The researcher only took nine students in different abilities from a high level (3/1), middle level (3/2), and low level (3/3). The instrument used by the researcher was an interview. The result showed that the students still had difficulty in understanding the texts because of having a lack of vocabulary, long texts, and limited time to analyze the text in answering the question. The students studied vocabulary through Picture Cards, and they learned vocabulary tests from text book. Furthermore, the finding of this study was: Picture Cards is able to increase and enrich their vocabulary and their knowledge. The implication of Pictures Cards can motivate students to understand the text. Therefore, they can understand many texts in vocabulary tests.Keywords: Teaching Vocabulary, Picture Cards

Abstract

Every child has a problem when they are in period of growth and development. This is a form of challenge for children to learn about how to solve problems with confidence and endurance of these problems.  In fact, children may not be able to make planning and training to face the difficulties which are considered as difficult problem, heavy, complicated, severe, and complex problem. There­ fore, these children need support from other parties, like parents, friends, teachers, counselors, and the environment. This paper will discuss the role and strategy of counselors in resolving the problems of children at primary school level.

Abstract

Achievement of learning depends on process learning that done. The determinant factor is teacher. Teacher has important role in the learning process in the school or Islamic School. Beside teacher, students also inflences, because student is the subject of learning. Because the essence of learning is a process of communicating; is the process of transferring message (Subject Matter) from the source of message (teacher) to the receiver (students). To avoid the fault in the transferring knowledge, neededa media to transferring message from the sender to the receiver that called by media of learning.By using media of learning suggested to makes more easily for student to receive knowledge well, so that there is no misunderstanding when receive the message from teacher. The ability of teacher to determine the media is very important and needed. Teacher must selective to determine the media of learning that used, because not all media of learning appropriate with condition. Teacher must choose media of learning that appropriate with context/needs, both of material and students.Keywords: Media of learning, Style of learning.

Abstract

In an effort to realize the civil society (civil society) need for serious efforts to build and develop civic cultur (cultural refiement). Compressive point, the social aspect and the social networks that are considered a weak point for the creation of a strong horizontal social entities. With an emphasis on that aspect, is expected madrasa can lead to cooperation among citizens in resolving public issues around it. The existence of social change in valuesbased education civil society produces promising practices, but not a fewsocial changes it gave birth to the contrary, become more childbirth social practices that “do not educate”. Where the importance we look back at how the process of social change in education based on the values of civil society could bring about a change in the desired direction.Keyword: Madrasah, Civil Society, learning Society

Members of a religious community have naturally strereotypical opinion about those of religious communities. It is a universal thing in the interaction amongst religions of the education people, with complexity gap from the past up to now not yet filled by strategic concepts in an attempt to buil, mutual respect, harmony, and human ringh. Abstract

The expansion of internationalization has challenged education advancement in 21th century which is not only at Islamic higher education level but also at the Islamic primary education sphere. For preparing young learners to engage in the dynamics of internationalization, some Islamic primary schools competitively share new horizons on integrating sciences, humanism and spiritual values that adapt salaf models of pesantren and global ideas. Therefore, this article, in a qualitative research, exemplifies the social phenomena on how to construct new paradigm of glocalization for the evolvement andperpetuation of Islamic primary educational institution in Indonesia. Collected by observations, interviews and documentations, it is concluded that glocalization can be employed as the panacea for society’s needs in which local wisdom can take its portions in curriculum that inserts multiple intelligence and Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) and provide academic agendas of primary instructional classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the approach of principals managerial leadership in elementary Islamic school level at Muaro Jambi district, Jambi province. The leadership model where sets the headmaster as a manager who adopted modern management theories. In practical not all the modern management theories can apply in the leadership of headmaster. In this research, the data collection techniques by using observation, interviews, documentation. The analyzing data by using Miles and Huberman (1994: 16-18): data reduction, data display, and verification or conclusion. The findings of the research revealed managerial leadership at the school in the District Muaro not been implemented as expected and has not been effective. The findings also revealed that leadership success is very determined as follows: (1) honesty, (2) openness, (3) exemplary, (4) wisdom, (5) mindset, and (6) the effect of the leader himself.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal how the national character and pedagogic competence have oriented to 21st Century Skills for Students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. This research used to qualitative that using case study approach. This research took place at UPI Campus Purwakarta. Informants at this time are: (1) leadership; (2) lecturers; and (3) students. Data analysis techniques using interactive models Miles and Huberman, namely: data collection, data condensation, display data, and concusion: drawing / verifying. The results of this research is the process of strengthening national character and mastery of pedagogic potential for PGSD UPI Students Purwakarta Campus is in accordance with the needs of 21st century skills. The learning process includes: (1) Project Based Learning; (2) Religious Tutorials; (3) Extracurricular Field Practices; and (4) Video Projects themed Local Wisdom. Through this method, they can help them to work in the world and be able to utilize pedagogic's teachers

Abstract

This study wanted to test the reading ability of students in grade 5 elementary school and madrasah, aged 9-11 years in terms of gender and type of school. Data collection tool tests the ability to read and the data entry student sex and type of school that consists of Elementary and MI. Research subjects amounted to 71 students from two schools, which consists of 43 elementary school students and 28 students MI. The results of data analysis showed that there was no difference between reading ability between men and women (p 0.05). In review of the types of schools that is students from elementary school and MI (p 00.5) and no difference in reading ability.Key words: Ability to read, gender, type of school
