Abstract

ABSTRACTDiarrhea disease is still the leading cause of death in the world. According to the data (WHO, 2009) since there are about 5-10 million death cases per year. This becomes a serious problem since there are many illness and death cases caused by diarrhea. Seen from the group age, the prevalence of diarrhea spread is detected to toddler (1-4 years old) which is 16.7%. Mother's role is very important in preventing diarrhea. Mother's knowledge on diarrhea can affect the way the mother in addressing diarrhea at home. The better knowledge of the mother, the better the way the mother in dealing with diarrhea, so the mother can reduce the incidence of diarrhea in children under five in the future. Therefore, this study is very important to do. This study is intended to investigate mothers’ knowledge about diarrhea in toddler in Kelurahan Padasuka, Cibeunying Kidul Sub-district, Bandung. The study was conducted in June 2014 and involved 90 people as samples. In specific, this study employs descriptive quantitative, which used stratified random sampling technique and used questionnaire as the instrument. The findings show that 54 respondents (60%) have good knowledge, 34 respondents (38%) have adequate knowledge, and 2 respondents (2%) have lack knowledge about diarrhea. Besides that, most respondents have most understanding on diarrhea prevention (80%), but they have least understanding on food to avoid diarrhea (64%). This likely is due to the frequent lack of information on the prevention of diarrhea are delivered through health counseling by health workers, but for delivery/counseling about food when diarrhea is rarely delivered.

Abstract

Background: Bullying is an issue of serious concern in many school settings. Some forms of bullying are verbal, physical, or relational. Factors such as social pressure, diversity differences, and power inequality play a role in triggering bullying behavior among adolescents. The impact is not only limited to the victim, but also creates adverse interpersonal dynamics and affects the social climate in the school environment. Objective: to describe bullying behavior among students at SMPN 10 Bandung. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive approach. Sample selection from students of SMPN 10 Bandung. The sample was 104 students. Data collection was done through distributing questionnaires online using the Olweus Bully/Victim Questionnaire (OBVQ). Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, focusing on univariate analysis to detail the incidence rate of bullying behavior. Results: the results showed that almost half of the respondents, 47 students, had high bullying behavior (45.2%). Bullying behavior can be verbal, physical, or relational. Bullying behavior can also be cyberbullying. The high percentage of respondents with high bullying behavior indicates the need for programs to prevent and reduce bullying behavior. Abstract

Background: The marketing mix is a vital framework for optimizing hospital services, improving patient satisfaction, and maintaining competitiveness in the healthcare sector. Despite its growing adoption, implementation remains inconsistent, with limited comprehensive reviews evaluating its overall effectiveness. Objective: This scoping review explores the application of the marketing mix in hospital services, identifies key challenges and opportunities, and highlights research gaps to inform future healthcare marketing strategies. Methods: A scoping review was conducted following Arksey and O’Malley’s framework and PRISMA-ScR guidelines. A systematic search across PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science identified peer-reviewed studies published between 2019 and 2023. Studies focusing on the marketing mix in hospital services were included, while non-peer-reviewed and irrelevant articles were excluded. Data extraction analyzed the implementation of the 7Ps framework and its outcomes. Results: Seven studies examined the marketing mix in hospitals, highlighting key findings. Hospitals differentiate through specialized services, pricing strategies influence affordability, and accessibility affects patient choices. Digital marketing enhances engagement, and expert professionals improve service quality, though workforce shortages pose challenges. Streamlined procedures and modern infrastructure enhance patient experience, but barriers like high service costs, geographic constraints, digital literacy gaps, and operational inefficiencies limit full implementation. Conclusion: The marketing mix is essential for hospital services and patient satisfaction but faces challenges in accessibility, workforce management, and digital transformation. Future research should assess its long-term impact and develop tailored frameworks to enhance hospital marketing effectiveness
