Abstract

Since 2022, there has been a change in the Organizational Structure and Work Procedures (also called as SOTK) in the Regional Apparatus Organization of Surabaya City, which has transferred the responsibility for the rehabilitation of school building facilities, infrastructure, and utilities from the Public Housing Service to the Education Service. This change also caused the transfer of 154 contract workers with the positions of craftsmen and assistant craftsmen to the Education Service. This study aims to analyse the influence of the work environment and organizational commitment on job satisfaction, with directive leadership style as a mediating variable. Data were analysed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the help of SEM with smartPLS software. The research sample consisted of 61 respondents selected from 154 members of the Education Service task force through the stratified sample method. The results show that the questionnaire instrument is valid and reliable. The work environment and organizational commitment have a significant positive influence on job satisfaction, but directive leadership style is not proven to mediate this influence on the Surabaya City Education Service task force.

Abstract

Marketing of green products as environmentally friendly products still experiences obstacles in Jember City. This is because the community is less responsive to environmentally friendly products. Research is needed on consumer behavior related to motivation and a green campaign is given, namely an environmental campaign as an effort to promote environmentally friendly products, practices and policies to optimize the intention to purchase green products. This study contributes a deeper understanding of motivation and environmental campaigns to build green product purchase intentions, with the Self-Determination Theory (SDT) approach. SDT is used to understand motivation broadly with 6 complete continua, namely amotivation, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation, integrated regulation and intrinsic motivation and integrates SDT with the role of the campaign as a mediator. A total of 210 respondents were analyzed using the PLS Equation Model Structure with the WrapPLS 7.0 program analysis tool with the results of Self-determination theory having a very strong model for the intention to purchase green products and green campaigns. The campaign as a mediator has no effect. The emphasis on identified regulation and intrinsic motivation is to provide values of awareness and pleasure by protecting the environment to prove that green products are not just a company's claim to gain profit but an effort to save the earth from damage.

Abstract

This study aimed to optimize the recruitment and selection process for Government Employees with Work Contracts (PPPK) from existing honorary workers in Pagar Alam City Government. The policy to eliminate honorary workers, scheduled for completion by December 2024, has accelerated the transition of honorary workers to PPPK status through the recruitment process. However, the implementation of this policy faces various challenges, including a lack of detailed regulations, misalignment between administrative requirements and job needs, and uncertainties in the implementation timeline. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, supplemented by a quantitative questionnaire, this research analyzed the person-job fit. The findings suggest that optimization can be achieved through the administrative selection stage by providing flexibility in assessing work experience and offering video tutorial-guided registration assistance. Furthermore, to ensure the quality of recruited PPPKs, an Additional Technical Competency Test (SKTT) is recommended to assess candidates' substantial competencies beyond basic qualifications. This research contributes significantly to improving the PPPK recruitment process, particularly for local governments undergoing the transformation of honorary workers. The recommendations produced can serve as a reference in developing more effective and efficient recruitment policies and procedures.

Abstract

Fashion retail sector is one of the largest sources of employment in Indonesia and also shows the tight business competition in the fashion retail sector. As a company that carries the concept of fast fashion, the production team at PT X is one of the divisions that has a crucial role in its business process. The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of PT X's production division's performance using the team metrics approach developed by Woodcock and Francis. The Team Blockage Questionnaire and the Internal-Process-Output (IPO) style of interviewing were employed in this study. The assessment results show that the team still has to improve in a few areas in order to perform more effectively at work. The significant variable in understanding why the team's performance is not as effective as it should be is leadership. Interventions are therefore needed to improve these crucial areas for the affected employees as well as for other division and management members.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the Panjol Motorbike repair shop can increase customer engagement and sales in its workshop business through the use of Honda Motor ECU Remap. By using an effective customer engagement strategy, workshop businesses can increase customer loyalty, retain existing customers, and increase new sales opportunities. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection in the form of interviews and literature studies to strengthen the results of the writing. The results of the study show that the successful implementation of ECU remap at Bengkel Panjol increases customer engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty. However, sales at the Panjol Motorbike repair shop did not increase 100% due to the implementation of this ECU remap but from standard or daily services. The implementation of the remap has not fully increased workshop sales due to the lack of consumer understanding in suburban areas such as Tanjung Morawa. Several strategies, such as providing education to customers, conducting promotions, providing special packages to regular customers, and providing test drives and warranties can be carried out to increase customer engagement and sales in the future at the Tanjung Morawa District Panjol Workshop.

Abstract

Corporate Rating is one of the tools of Signaling Theory, expected to provide clear and standardized signals of a company’s financial health and credit risk. However, according to the experts, the regulation of Corporate Rating issuance by Credit Rating Agency (CRA) becomes a hindrance to the timeliness of company information updates, especially during sudden large-scale economic shifts. Based on this issue, this research aims to examine the differences between Corporate Rating migration probabilities under two different economic conditions: contraction and expansion. Before conducted hypothesis testing, the secondary data from 73 sample companies were processed using Markov-Switching Autoregressive (MSVAR) and Multinomial Logistic Regression methods. Ther results of this study shows that there is no difference in the probability of a Corporate Rating downgrade during both economic conditions. On the other side, the probability of a Corporate Rating upgrade is smaller during economic contraction, and there is a difference in the probability of a Corporate Rating remained unchange between both economic conditions.
