Abstract

The development of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) has an impact on the education. But teacher still use conventional methods. Therefore, this research aims to develop educational game media using the Construct 2 to improve the literacy numeracy skills of third grade elementary school students that are valid, practical, and effective. This development research refers to the ADDIE. The results of the development were applied to class III students at SD Negeri Janti for the 2022/2023 academic year. The development product is the Monster Math Game. The research instruments are validation sheets, questionnaires, and literacy numeration questions. The validity test was obtained from 3 experts, namely Curriculum Expert, Material Expert, and Media Expert. Results form Curriculum Expert at 87.5%, Material Expert at 86.4%, and Media Expert at 89.3%. So, it can be concluded that the Monster Math Game is very feasible to use to improve the literacy numeracy skills of Class III Elementary School. The results of the practicality test from educators were 89.3% and the practicality tests from students were 94.15%. From these results, it can be concluded that the Monster Math Game is very practical to use. The results of the effectiveness test through the t-test obtained the results of the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 which means the sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, so there is a significant difference between the results of the pre-test and post-test, it’s means that the Monster Math Game product is effective in improving the literacy numeracy skills of class III elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe holistically the role shown by the principal as a supervisor through supervision activities of the convergence clinical model to improve teacher teaching skills, especially questioning skills. This research uses a qualitative approach with a multi-case study design. The subjects of this research were SDN Dukuhklopo and MI Plus Darul Falah Jombang. Data collection instruments in this study used in-depth interview techniques, participant observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis is carried out together with the process of data collection and analysis after data collection is complete. The results of the study show (1) In planning supervision, the supervision program made by the principal of the school/madrasah includes efforts to improve questioning skills or learning competencies in general that need to be improved. Furthermore, the school principal socializes the supervision program with teachers. (2) Implementation of school/madrasah supervision begins with assessing the completeness of teaching tools and to improve questioning skills, supervisors carry out observations using instruments. (3) The follow-up of school/madrasah supervision is carried out, namely the follow-up on the results of the evaluation of teacher teaching tools and the results of supervision of class visits.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the obstacles to the implementation of science practicum for grade V elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The population in this study were ten students. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, that is, all members of the population are sampled. The sample, all fifth grade students and fifth grade teachers were used. The number of questionnaires used were 10 statements given to students and 10 questions were given to the fifth grade teacher for interviews. The interview data were described by summarizing the results, while the questionnaire analysis used descriptive analysis techniques with percentage calculations. From interviews with teachers, it was found that the implementation of the experiment in fifth grade was still lacking because it was rare to carry out the experiment and there were many obstacles in terms of tools and materials as well as the practical guide. The results of the student questionnaire, 40% of students stated that the implementation of the experiment went quite well, while 60% of the students stated that the implementation of the experiment was not going well, in the sense that the implementation of the experiment was rarely carried out by the teacher. The obstacles to implementing practicum are mainly the lack of tools and materials for practicum, the absence of a special place practicum, not having special guidance for practicum and the lack of teacher readiness in teaching practicum because there is no special practicum guide.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant influence between the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are given the LAPS-Heuristic learning model and those who are not given the LAPS-Heuristic learning model. This type of research is experimental research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were all grade 3 students of MI Mahir Ar Riyadl for the 2021/2022 academic year. The results show that there is a significant value (2-tailed) in the first row of 0.000 and it can be seen that 0.000 <0.05, so that H_1 is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence between students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the LAPS-Heuristic learning model with those who do not use the LAPS-Heuristic model. This means that in this study it can be concluded that there is an effect of applying the LAPS-Heuristic model to students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Suggestions from this study are the LAPS-Heuristic learning model so that it can be applied to other subjects and materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the factors that influence student satisfaction during online learning on the subject of culinary in the Bachelor of Applied Culinary Program of UNY, (2) the factors that dominate student satisfaction during online learning on the subject of culinary in the Bachelor of Applied Culinary Program of UNY, (3) the factors of student dissatisfaction during online learning on the subject of culinary in the Bachelor of Applied Culinary Program of UNY. The type of research is quantitative with a survey method. The research was carried out in March-August 2022 with the subject being students of Bachelor of Applied Culinary Programs at UNY Wates & Gunung Kidul Campus. Total population 189 people. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. The data collection technique used a questionnaire and the data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative. The results of the study show that: (1) the factors that influence student satisfaction during online learning are good e-teaching, good e-resources, assessment, learning content, perceived flexibility, perceived usefulness, learner-learner interactions, learner-instructor interactions, self-regulated learning; (2) The most dominant factor influencing student satisfaction during online learning is assessment; (3) the factors that became a source of student dissatisfaction during online learning were not found. The research implications show that online learning or also called distance learning can be applied to vocational study programs. In the future, if special circumstances occur, online learning can be developed into fun learning.

The problem of students' mastery of Islamic Religious Education during the Pandemic period was in the form of low achievement of cognitive aspects, inaccessibility of affective and psychomotor aspects. In line with that, the problem of student mastery of the PAI material has an impact on the problem of curriculum completeness and the quality of student competence. The results of this study recommend the importance of supporting institutional infrastructure, teachers and parents at home.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to analyze the need for the development of interactive videos with a scientifically based ethnopedagogical approach for elementary school students. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire method with 34 teachers as respondents. The research results show that students' difficulties in learning are mainly caused by teacher explanations that students cannot understand (37 percent). Teachers rarely use ICT-based media (41.2 percent) and most learning uses presentations (38.2 percent) and discussions (38.2 percent). As many as 73.5 percent of teachers use media downloaded from the internet. Barriers to media development are caused by only 14.7 percent of teachers being able to develop their media. Teachers experience difficulties in conveying material to students, so 79.4 percent of teachers want to develop interactive learning media. As many as 97.1 percent of teachers also want media to be developed with a scientific approach, 76.5 percent see the need to introduce local culture to support character education. The results of the analysis of supporting facilities show that 35.3 percent of schools have adequate internet access, 88.9 percent of students have laptops, and 11.1 percent have cell phones. The results of this research indicate the need to develop digital-based learning media to help students in learning. The research results also show that a scientifically based ethnopedagogical approach will be a good synergy in the learning media being developed.
