Abstract

This research discusses the role of the school principal in improving the quality management of students at SDN 015 Samarinda Ulu. Through a qualitative approach using interviews and observations as data collection techniques, this study explores the strategies and steps taken by the school principal to advance education in the school. The research findings indicate that the school principal plays a central role in developing the school's vision, mission, and policies, as well as in implementing programs aimed at improving the quality of education. The school principal also plays a role in evaluating and monitoring school performance, using evaluation results to guide sustainable performance monitoring. The results of this study show that the school principal at SDN 015 Samarinda Ulu is not only an administrator but also a visionary leader and effective agent of change in improving the quality management of students. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of the school principal's role in managing and advancing education at the elementary school level, as well as the need for support and cooperation from all education stakeholders.

Abstract

: The problem of this research is the lack of maximumity in the learning evaluation process carried out by teachers at MTsN 7 Aceh Timur. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of learning evaluation in improving the quality of learning in facing madrasa accreditation. The research method used is qualitative research with descriptive survey techniques. The results of the research show that the evaluation implementation process has not run optimally. It can be seen that there are still teachers who do not evaluate students after learning takes place. The evaluation implementation at MTsN 7 Aceh Timur uses formative assessments, mid-semester exams (UTS), end-of-year assessments (PAS). After carrying out the evaluation stage, there were students who had not completed their learning so corrections were carried out, but what happened was that the students did not care about the evaluation results obtained and did not come when asked to take part in the remedial. The research implications are strategies for increasing teacher competency, improving the quality of assessment, curriculum development and learning methods.

Abstract

This study investigates effective change management strategies to enhance the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Balikpapan. Through a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis, the study explores the necessary steps in designing, implementing, and evaluating changes within the educational institution context. The research findings indicate that the implementation of appropriate change management strategies, such as strengthening leadership, empowering educators, developing relevant curricula, optimizing resources, and actively engaging various stakeholders, significantly contributes to improving the quality of education. Strong leadership, educator empowerment through training and collaboration, and the development of student-focused curricula emerge as key factors in achieving change goals. Furthermore, resource optimization and active involvement of parents, school committees, and the community are also crucial in creating conducive learning environments and supporting the change process. By comprehensively and sustainably applying these strategies, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Balikpapan has the potential to continuously enhance the quality of education and better prepare students to face future challenges. This study contributes to understanding the importance of change management in the educational context and provides practical guidance for educational institutions in navigating ongoing change dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine more deeply the aspects of diversity in educational institution organizations. The method used is a literature review approach. A comprehensive search strategy was carried out by searching various research journal databases. The research databases used are EBSCO, Science Direct and Wiley Online. The research criteria are (1) articles written in English and Indonesian between 2013 and 2023; (2) Articles are available in full-text form; (3) the article discusses diversity/diversity in educational organizations. Multicultural education can reduce stereotypes, misunderstandings and allow individuals to interact with others. Strategies for developing multicultural education through educational strategies, examples, and habits. In addition, multicultural education needs to implement the development of higher education systems, curriculum development, improving the quality of teaching staff, developing of education management systems, equalizing audience perceptions and developing cultural understanding and diversity of perspectives.

Abstract

Teachers play a crucial role in education worldwide, responsible for teaching and guiding students. This research follows a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects involve school principals, teachers, and relevant stakeholders in teacher performance management. The results indicate that teacher performance management at SMP Negeri 1 Karangan has shown positive development through stages of planning, assessment system establishment, supervision, evaluation, and performance improvement. Although performance planning is structured considering the school's vision, mission, and goals, challenges remain regarding performance target setting and resource allocation. Teacher participation in planning is appreciated, but implementation requires refinement. Assessment system establishment is participatory with various methods, although implementation hurdles exist. Performance supervision involves classroom observation, test evaluation, and meetings, yet consistency and accountability need enhancement. Performance evaluation employs diverse methods and instruments, but challenges regarding resources and teacher perceptions persist. Recognition and rewards for performance are appreciated, but structured improvement is needed. Therefore, enhancing education quality requires continuous efforts in improving teacher performance management through collaboration among all relevant parties.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and evaluate the library management at SMK Islam Nurul Hikmah Sangatta with the objective of providing improvement recommendations. The research approach employed is qualitative with a case study method. Informants in this study include library staff, teachers, and students. The data collection techniques utilized are interviews and direct observation of library facilities and services. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively using thematic analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that library management at the mentioned vocational school faces challenges primarily in terms of resource availability, infrastructure, collection management, and library services. Improvement recommendations include adequate budget allocation, staff training, active involvement of all school members, implementation of information technology, and periodic evaluation. The implications of this research are expected to enhance the quality of library services and student reading interest, thereby positively contributing to academic achievement at SMK Islam Nurul Hikmah Sangatta.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the management of learners in Qur'an-based “love, sex, and dating” sexuality education in educational institutions. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive type. Researchers collected data using non-participant observation techniques, semi-structured interviews and documentation. At the analysis stage using the flow model technique with the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and finally drawing conclusions. The outcomes in this research are the management of students in sexuality education “love, sex, and dating” based on the Qur'an at SMP IT Madina carried out through several stages, namely the planning stage, the organising stage, the implementation stage and the supervision stage. The conclusion of this research is that the management of students who have been implemented at SMP IT Madina has finally given birth to several activity programs in the implementation of al-qur'an-based “love, sex, and dating” sexuality education, including starting from the new student admission program, learning process program, counselling guidance program, and tausiyah program. Some of the activities that have been carried out are slowly able to equip students in protecting dignity and controlling themselves wisely and responsibly in their sexual lives.

Abstract

This article is titled Problematika Implementation curriculum 2013 In Arabic Learning in Pondok Pesantren MA Bahrul Ulum Muliasari, against the background of the problem that in the process of learning Arabic teachers still have many problems, both administratively and also in the implementation in the field. The must-implement curriculum 2013 (K13) has been regulated by the government, schools / madrassas are obliged in carrying it out. The results of this study are problematic implementation of K13 in Arabic learning starting from planning namely the preparation of RPP i.e. teachers do not yet understand in drafting learning, making assessments and other activities on learning planning. At the time of learning, the initial activities were already well underway, but in the core activities, teachers often had difficulty in their implementation, as many students did not have much memorization of vocabulary or mufrodat. In the last stage of closing, teachers often do not reflect on the lessons learned before. While the causative factor of the emergence of problematic is the ability of teachers in making arabic learning programs and evaluations into scientific approaches, Teachers do not make RPP as a guideline in teaching, when teachers do not make RPP as a guideline in teaching of course learning will take place undirected, this is seen by the many steps in learning that teachers do not implement. From the above problems teachers should learn more related to the flow or learning process created by the Government in the 2013 curriculum. From the assessment aspect of the teacher has not understood how to do a good penialain in accordance with K13, then the teacher should be able to see the guidelines that have been made by the government related to the assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of alumni from the Islamic Education Management Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Raden Fatah State Islamic University in Palembang, focusing on their employment status and the alignment of alumni competencies. This research adopts a descriptive research approach with data collection conducted through surveys. The subjects of this study are alumni from the Islamic Education Management Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Raden Fatah State Islamic University in Palembang, who graduated between 2017 and 2019, totaling 30 individuals. The research instrument utilizes a questionnaire consisting of closed and open-ended questions. Data collection is carried out by contacting the alumni, distributing the questionnaires directly and online via Google Forms. The analysis is conducted descriptively using percentage tables. The first job types of the alumni among 30 respondents are as follows: 15 respondents (50%) work in the field of education, 5 respondents (17%) are entrepreneurs, and 10 respondents (33%) work in office administration. The time taken to obtain the first job shows varied responses: less than 1 month for 3 respondents (10%), 1-3 months for 14 respondents (47%), 3-6 months for 8 respondents (26%), more than 6 months for 2 respondents (7%), and more than 1 year for 3 respondents (10%). The first salary amount is distributed as follows: less than Rp 1,000,000 for 9 respondents (30%), between Rp 1,000,000 - Rp 1,500,000 for 6 respondents (20%), between Rp 1,500,000 - Rp 3,000,000 for 10 respondents (33%), and between Rp 3,000,000 - Rp 5,000,000 for 5 respondents (17%). Regarding the alignment of alumni competencies with their first job compared to their expectations during their studies: 3 respondents (10%) felt their competencies were very suitable, 10 respondents (33%) felt they were suitable, 10 respondents (10%) felt they were somewhat suitable, and 3 respondents (10%) felt they were not suitable.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effectiveness of distinctive flagship programs, focusing on how technology integration contributes to cultivating outstanding and pesantren-spirited students through the Prodistik program. The research method employed a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as participatory observation and in-depth interviews with students, educators, and Prodistik heads to gain a comprehensive understanding and stakeholders' perceptions of technology-based and pesantren-integrated education management in shaping outstanding students at Madrasah Aliyah Zainul Hasan Genggong. The findings indicate that the implementation of technology-based and pesantren-integrated education management at the madrasah successfully merges traditional values with technology and serves as an inspiration for other educational institutions. This success is evidenced by graduates proficient in technology with a pesantren spirit, easily accepted in the workforce and universities.
