Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of Islamic Education Teachers (PAI Teachers) in enhancing students' interest in learning Islamic Education at SMA Terpadu Aisyiyah in Pagar Alam City. The research uses a qualitative approach, conducted through observation and interviews with 15 PAI Teachers and 30 students. The findings indicate that PAI Teachers play a crucial role in increasing students' interest in Islamic Education by creating a positive and engaging learning environment, utilizing interactive teaching methods, and providing opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities related to Islamic Education. The study also highlights that the enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment of PAI Teachers towards their students are key factors contributing to the increased interest in learning Islamic Education. The research concludes that PAI Teachers have a significant role in fostering students' interest in Islamic Education and recommends that school administrators and policymakers support PAI Teachers in developing their teaching skills and expertise in Islamic Education.

Abstract

Muhammad Ibnu Sahnun's thoughts on educational management offer highly relevant guidelines for curriculum management within the context of Islamic education. In his work, Ibnu Sahnun emphasizes the importance of a curriculum balanced between general knowledge and religious education, making religious education the moral foundation that underpins all learning. In the modern era, marked by technological advancements, globalization, and rapid social dynamics, the educational management principles proposed by Ibnu Sahnun remain significant. He emphasizes values such as honesty, justice, and responsibility as the foundation for managerial decisions in educational institutions. Additionally, Ibnu Sahnun highlights the importance of students' rights, stressing the need for a balance between their rights and responsibilities in the educational process. By adhering to these principles, educational administrators can create an environment that supports the holistic development of students, both academically and morally. In the context of modern management, Ibnu Sahnun's ideas provide a strong foundation for building an educational system that not only focuses on administrative aspects but also on character formation and the development of beneficial knowledge. Therefore, the educational management principles offered by Ibnu Sahnun remain relevant and can be applied to improve the quality of education in the contemporary era.

Abstract

SMAS Taman Siswa Teluk Betung is a pluralistic school that emphasizes religious tolerance through various religious, social, and tolerance activities, fostering a peaceful life based on individual tolerance. The aim of this study is to describe and analyze the planning of curriculum subjects based on religious moderation values at SMAS Taman Siswa Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, followed by data analysis involving data reduction, data display, and data verification or conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the planning of learning based on religious moderation values has been well implemented, with the objective of cultivating commendable morals through psychomotor, cognitive, and affective assessments incorporating religious moderation values such as interfaith tolerance and actions against violence and promoting harmony. The learning strategy requires collaboration to achieve goals, necessitating mutual assistance and complementarity. Learning resources at SMAS Taman Siswa include facilities and infrastructure such as a prayer room. Classrooms are equipped with desks, chairs, lockers, LCDs, carpets, bulletin boards, fans, air conditioners, and more. Teachers allow the use of mobile phones during the learning process in accordance with regulations. Components of learning based on religious moderation values include lesson plans containing materials on tolerance, harmony, and avoiding acts of violence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SD Negeri Karangampel Kidul IV Kabupaten Indramayu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan bentuk studi kasus. Subjek penelitiannya yaitu kepala sekolah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seperti berikut. Karakteristik perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SD Negeri Karangampel Kidul IV antara lain Pertama, memberikan keteladanan dalam kedisiplinan. Kedua, perilaku kepemimpinan yang tegas.  Ketiga, perilaku kepemimpinan yang optimis dan semangat. Keempat, perilaku kepemimpinan yang bijaksana. Kelima, perilaku kepemimpinan yang rendah hati. Keenam, perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang bersahabat. Ketujuh, memberikan keteladanan dalam hal kebersihan dan beribadah. Kedelapan, perilaku kepemimpinan yang longgar. Kesembilan, perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang pesimis. Kesepuluh, perilaku kepemimpinan yang pasrah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of the maintenance of facilities and infrastructure at SMP Nurul Qomar Palembang. The research is conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach, involving observation, interviews, and documentation to explore in-depth information on the quality and effectiveness of school facility maintenance. Research informants include the school principal, vice principal, head of administration, and teachers. The results show that although SMP Nurul Qomar has implemented maintenance procedures including routine maintenance and emergency repairs, there are significant challenges related to budget constraints and human resources. The quality of maintenance service is considered adequate, but there are issues in coordination and communication between technical staff and facility users. Technical skills also need improvement to effectively handle facility damage. The study reveals that good maintenance of facilities and infrastructure has a positive impact on the learning environment, student motivation, and teacher performance. Well-maintained facilities support the teaching and learning process, enhance student discipline and achievement, and facilitate teachers' work. With a structured maintenance system and regular evaluations, SMP Nurul Qomar can create an optimal learning environment. The study recommends improvements in communication, technical staff training, and budget management to enhance facility maintenance quality and support educational goals at the school.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Full Day School Program at SMP LTI IGM Palembang in the context of developing students' spiritual intelligence. The program integrates religious spiritual activities, socio-religious activities, and religious ethics, focusing on character formation through worship routines, involvement in social activities, and the application of religious ethics. A qualitative research method was used to collect data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the program is effective in developing students' spiritual intelligence, with key strengths in routine practices such as Quranic recitation, congregational prayers, and social activities like morning charity. Positive impacts of the program include increased discipline, responsibility, and social awareness among students. However, challenges include student fatigue, potential boredom, and the need for improved time management. The study concludes that addressing these challenges could make the Full Day School Program a more optimal model for developing students' spiritual intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the preparation of learning administration at MAN 2 Palembang, as well as to assess the school's readiness in implementing the Merdeka Belajar concept. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, with the Vice Principal for Curriculum as the main informant. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that MAN 2 Palembang has taken strategic steps in preparing learning administration, including the development of learning materials aligned with the principles of Merdeka Belajar, flexible scheduling, and training for teachers and administrative staff. The school also strives to integrate technology into the learning process and adjust the curriculum to be more competency-based. However, several challenges have been identified, such as the lack of in-depth understanding of the Merdeka Belajar concept among staff and teachers, limited technological facilities, and unclear regulatory challenges. Human resource limitations and external support also pose obstacles to the optimal implementation of this policy. Overall, despite the challenges, MAN 2 Palembang has shown a strong commitment to preparing learning administration in line with the Merdeka Belajar concept.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the managerial competencies of the head of the madrasah at MTs N 1 Prabumulih. Through a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data were collected from interviews, observations, and documentation. Key informants included the head of the madrasah, the student affairs vice principal, the curriculum vice principal, and teachers. The results show that the head of the madrasah possesses managerial competencies that include human resource management, strategic planning, and program development to enhance the performance of teachers and students. Additionally, the head of the madrasah is also capable of communicating effectively with various stakeholders and facing challenges in madrasah management. These findings highlight the importance of systematic planning and collaboration between the head of the madrasah and their team in achieving quality educational goals.

Abstract

Adequate facilities and infrastructure are crucial factors in supporting an effective teaching and learning process; however, at MTs Nurul Huda, there are still several challenges, such as limited funding and inadequate facilities. This study aims to analyze the role of the principal in managing facilities and infrastructure at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Nurul Huda Muaro Jambi. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The obtained data are analyzed descriptively to provide an overview of the management practices of facilities and infrastructure at MTs Nurul Huda. The results show that the principal plays a central role in planning facility needs by involving teachers and the school committee to create a collaborative atmosphere. Additionally, the principal is directly involved in the procurement of facilities and ensures the quality and suitability of the facilities with the curriculum. Proactive maintenance and regular supervision are carried out to maintain the condition of the facilities, while encouraging active participation from the entire school community in maintaining them. Although challenges such as budget limitations and lack of participation from all parties exist, the principal strives to create a conducive learning environment. This study concludes that effective and collaborative leadership by the principal significantly impacts the improvement of education quality and the management of facilities and infrastructure at the madrasah. These findings can serve as a reference for other madrasahs in efforts to enhance the sustainable management of educational facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital-based madrasa management on the quality of graduates at MAN Insan Cendekia Aceh Timur. The importance of applying technology in educational management to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the educational process, which in turn affects the quality of graduates, is the main focus of this research. The study explores how digital-based madrasa management can enhance the quality of planning, organizing, implementation, and control within the school. A qualitative approach with descriptive analysis was used in this research. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the school principal, teachers, and administrative staff as key informants. The findings show that in planning, the use of technology helps in developing a more structured curriculum and learning plans. In organizing, digitalization facilitates communication and task distribution. In implementation, digital applications support more interactive and efficient learning. Meanwhile, control through digital systems allows real-time monitoring of student and teacher performance, which influences the improvement of graduate quality. This study concludes that digital-based management contributes significantly to the enhancement of graduate quality at MAN Insan Cendekia Aceh Timur.
