Abstract

This study aims to describe students' thinking styles in solving physics problems through online learning for students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 6 Borong. This type of research uses descriptive research. The subjects in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 6 Borong totaling 22 people. While the object in this study is the profile of students' thinking styles in solving physics problems through online learning. The data collection technique in this research is a questionnaire. The results obtained from this research show that students' thinking styles in solving physics problems are categorized as good, with the percentage gain of each indicator, namely for concrete sequential indicators with a percentage of 67.97% in good categories, abstract sequential indicators with a percentage of 61.65% in good categories, indicators Concrete random has a percentage of 57.95% with good category, and 55.80% abstract random indicator with sufficient category. The average percentage gain of the four indicators is 60.84%. This shows that the students' thinking style in solving physics problems at SMA Negeri 6 Borong is categorized as good.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the application of augmented reality-based learning media in physics learning. This effectiveness is in terms of increasing understanding of concepts, interest in learning, learning outcomes, and students' critical thinking skills. This research is due to the lack of understanding of physics by students at various levels of education. Learning physics is considered difficult because of the abstract concept and the lack of innovation in learning so that it affects the ability of students. Therefore, we need an innovation in the physics learning process in the form of augmented reality-based learning media. Quantitative approach is the approach used in this research and literature study as a data collection method. The literature sources used are from the indexing portals Google Scholar, Sinta, Garuda and others. Researchers obtained 10 references related to study objectives from 2014 to 2022. From the analysis of the literature study conducted, it was found that the use of augmented reality in learning physics can increase conceptual understanding, increase interest in learning, and improve students' critical thinking skills in learning physics.

Abstract

The author made this research with the intention of reviewing the literature regarding the dualism of light as a form of appreciation for the verses of the universe. The research method uses a literature review. The collection of information sources is done by collecting books, articles, journals that are relevant, then it is examined for suitability with the title. The results of this research show that the dualism of light can be a springboard to better appreciate the verses of the universe. This can be seen from the many similar conclusions expressed by previous researchers, and the sources of information that support it.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to predict the total end breakage per machine in 40 hrs of cotton yarn in a rotor spinning machine based on yarn count (yarn count), rotor speed (rotor speed), opening roller speed (opening roller speed) and residual trash content in draw frame sliver. . This study uses an artificial neural network (ANN) method in predicting a desired output. Furthermore, the artificial neural network is modeled with several model variations. From several modeling and testing carried out, starting from varying the number of nodes, the amount of alpha, the number of hidden layers, the number of iterations, it can be obtained that the results of using an artificial neural network with 1 hidden layer, 3 nodes, alpha of 0.3 with 50,000 iterations have more optimal results compared to the others because the resulting output is close to the target with an R-squared value of 0.984968. This shows that there is a large or close correlation between the actual variables and the variables in the artificial neural network. The novelty of this study is the use of ANN for the first time in predicting the total end breakage per machine in 40 hrs of cotton yarn in a rotor spinning machine. This method can facilitate top management and especially the Quality Control section in making decisions to set the parameters of the rotor machine in order to minimize the occurrence of yarn end breakage per machine in 40 hrs.

Abstract

The lack of modules that could train problem-solving skills gave impacts students’ problem-solving skills, which are in the low category. This research focused on describing the effectiveness of the physics modules which enrich authentic learning on straight-line motion subjects. This research and development within the ASSURE model use a one-group pretest-posttest design and thus tested on 85 students of X IPA Senior High School 6 Banjarmasin. The data collection technique was obtained by test instruments for pre-test and post-test, thus analyzed by the N-Gain test and t-test. The results showed that the effectiveness of the authentic learning module, which enriches authentic learning, was categorized as high, and the two-way significance of the test was 0.00 (< 0.05), which indicated that there was a difference in the average students’ learning outcomes before and after using the authentic learning module. Thus, it can be concluded that the module containing authentic learning in straight-motion material is effectively used in physics learning to train students’ problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Tilapia egg cells give different responses when given variations in the concentration of lead (Pb) pollutant. This study used a microelectrode connected to a picoscope to measure the potential value of tilapia egg cell membrane. The results of the study show that tilapia egg cells contaminated with Pb will cause changes in the cell membrane potential. The concentration of Pb given consisted of six variations, namely 0.02 ppm; 0.03ppm; 0.05ppm; 0.1 ppm ; 0.5ppm; and 1ppm. Tilapia eggs exposed to Pb with the highest concentration of 1ppm caused the cells to experience a significant decrease in the membrane potential of -7.77 mV. At this point, tilapia egg cells experience a decrease in membrane potential until they experience cell death.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of temperature, humidity, air speed and sunlight intensity on the electricity generated by solar panels. The research method used is the experimental method, by collecting data directly using two solar panels arranged in series and parallel and carried out in two different places, namely the coastal area and the highlands. The results showed that the temperature, humidity and air velocity with tcount were -0.5765; 0.0063; and 0.5608. The value of tcount is smaller than ttable 2.2281 indicating there is no significant effect between temperature, humidity and air velocity on solar panel electric power. For light intensity, the tcount value is 2.301. The value of tcount is greater than ttable 2.2281, so it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between light intensity and solar panel electric power.

Abstract

The lack of references to teaching modules used by teachers to carry out learning is one of the problems in learning in SMP Muhammadiyah Lasem. This study aims to determine the effect of learning modules. The population used in the study was class VII SMP Muhammadiyah Lasem consisting of 10 students who were used as samples in the study. Retrieval of this data using observation, questionnaires and tests. The results of this study explain that there is a significant difference between learning using ESD-based POE modules and learning not using ESD-based POE modules. The results of the validity of a teaching module are known from the average value of the questionnaire which shows 0.9258 or in its percentage, namely 92.58% with the category very suitable for use in learning. the value of the effectiveness of a media can be seen from the results of calculations using the normality test with values ​​obtained using teaching modules and values ​​that do not use teaching modules.

Abstract

Jabung Village, located in Jabung District, Malang Regency, has various groundwater potentials. The study using the Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) geoelectric method was carried out in several hamlets in Jabung Village with water shortages to map the groundwater potential in these hamlets. VES measurements were carried out in Boro Lor Hamlet, Gunung Kunci Hamlet, Umpak Hamlet, and Mindi Hamlet, with 1 reference point measured next to a drilled well belonging to the Regional Government. The results of VES analysis in 4 hamlets show that the aquifer layer is a sandstone with a resistivity of 25.8-41.7 m. The thickness of the aquifer varies from 4.6 meters to 30.1 meters. The depth of the aquifer also varies from a depth of 40.6 meters to a depth of 68.6 meters.

Abstract

The problem of low understanding of concepts in physics learning is still common, including the concepts of momentum and impulse. The use of technology such as Tracker software in building concepts in physics learning is still very lacking. One solution for this problem is to develop physics teaching materials based on cognitive conflicts using tracker software on momentum and impulse materials. This study aims to analyze the practicality of impulse-momentum teaching material products based on cognitive conflicts. This study reported the development stage in the Plomp development model, namely small group evaluation (practicality test). This study's instrument is a questionnaire sheet for practicality tests, which were analyzed by percentage techniques. The results of the practicality test of teaching material products obtained an average percentage of 87.76 with very practical criteria. The cognitive conflict-based impulse momentum teaching materials using tracker software have been practical for students in terms of ease, attractiveness, benefits, and efficiency.
