Abstract

Precipitation data in Indonesia is currently carried out by in situ observation, which allows for blank data due to observer errors or due to damaged equipment. The TRMM satellite is one of the satellites that is widely used to fill in the blank rainfall data in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the results of the accuracy between the TRMM 3B42 satellite rainfall estimation data and surface observation data sourced from the Sangia Ni Bandera Kolaka Meteorological Station in 2019. Both data were statistically tested using the correlation coefficient calculation method, error calculation using the Root Mean method Squared Error (RMSE), and significance test. The results showed that the best relationship was produced by dry months compared to wet months. In general, in the time series graph, the satellite data and observation data show a fairly similar fluctuation pattern, but in some cases the TRMM satellite data is much smaller than the observation data. The best time scale for the relationship between the two data is the basic time scale, because it produces significant results for all periods of the month, and has a high correlation value with a small error value.

Abstract

The same thinking or giving the exact solution when expressed by several students in open-ended questions or High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) indicates a lack of self-efficacy. This is the background of the purpose of this study to measure self-efficacy through Student Worksheets based on empirical and theoretical reviews on static fluid materials. This study is quasi-experimental because it uses a pre-post-test control group design. Sampling will be done using a purposive sampling technique. The samples were junior high school students in one of the Lamongan districts. The results of this study indicate that the Student Worksheet based on the theoretical, empirical review can increase students’ self-efficacy. An increase in self-efficacy was observed from the average value at the time of the pre-test, 62.68%, to 71.95% at the time of the post-test. The results of these values are classified as good improvement according to the Likert scale. Self-efficacy is measured using six indicators (scientific content, problem-solving ability, laboratory usage, daily application, scientific communication, and scientific literacy). Scientific literacy indicators get the lowest average value caused by the low interest of students in learning a concept. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research on the relationship between student interest and self-efficacy.

Abstract

The particular theory of relativity stems from the discovery of a physicist named Albert Einstein. The difficulties in physics have been described by Sugiyana, “Physics is one of the subjects that cause difficulties for students. This happens because physics is considered a complex subject with many similarities. The limited ability of students and lack of interest in physics has also added to the difficulties in studying physics. Using the fast method is one of the categories for calculating quickly. One fast method is the Pythagorean method, which can solve particular relativity questions.
