Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMP. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 10 guru matematika di SMP Negeri di Kota Samarinda, dan objeknya adalah kemampuan guru mengintegrasikan TPACK dalam pembelajaran matematika. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari (1) mentranskrip data pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang terkumpul, (2) menelaah video rekaman kegiatan pembelajaran, dan hasil observasi selama pembelajaran; (3) melakukan reduksi data; (4) menyusun dalam satuan-satuan yang selanjutnya dikategorisasikan dengan membuat coding, (5) menganalisis kemampuan guru mengintegrasikan TPACK dalam pembelajaran Matematika, (6) menganalisis hal-hal yang menarik, dan (7) penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa, kemampuan guru Matematika SMP di Kota Samarinda dalam mengintegrasikan TPACK dalam pembelajaran matematika terdiri dari kategori amat baik, baik dan kurang. Secara umum, kendala yang dialami guru dalam pengintegrasian TPACK berkaitan dengan dukungan sarana/prasana, di antaranya LCD yang terbatas jumlahnya dan akses wi-fi yang tidak merata. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi peneliti selanjutnya terkait kemampuan guru mengintegrasikan TPACK dalam pembelajaran matematika. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Guru, TPACK, Pembelajaran Matematika Abstract: This research is an exploratory descriptive study with a qualitative approach, which aims to find out and describe the ability of teachers to integrate Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) in mathematics learning in junior high school. The subjects of this study were 10 mathematics teachers at public junior high schools in Samarinda City, and the object was the ability of teachers to integrate TPACK in mathematics learning. Data collection techniques used observation and interview techniques. The research instruments were observation sheets and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique consists of (1) transcribing the collected learning implementation data, (2) reviewing video recordings of learning activities, and observations during learning; (3) reducing data; (4) compiling in units which are then categorized by making coding, (5) analyzing the ability of teachers to integrate TPACK in learning Mathematics, (6) analyzing interesting things, and (7) drawing conclusions. From the analysis, it was concluded that teachers' ability to integrate TPACK in mathematics learning in junior high schools consisted of excellent, good and poor categories. In general, the obstacles experienced by teachers in integrating TPACK are related to facilities/premises support, including the limited number of LCDs and uneven wi-fi access. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for further researchers related to the ability of teachers to integrate TPACK in mathematics learning. Keywords: Teacher Ability, TPACK, Mathematics Learning

Abstract

Skor rata-rata PISA yang didapat Indonesia masih di bawah 400, hal ini menunjukkan perlunya upaya untuk meningkatkan literasi matematika siswa di Indonesia. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan literasi matematika siswa adalah dengan membiasakan mereka mengerjakan soal literasi matematika yang berkonteks. Budaya pasar terapung sebagai konteks dapat memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mengonstruksi konsep matematika berdasarkan pengetahuan yang dekat dengan kehidupan nyata mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan soal literasi matematika dengan konteks etnomatematika pada pasar terapung yang valid, reliabel dan praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Tessmer tipe formative research yang terdiri dari tahap preliminary dan formative evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 14 Banjarmasin di kelas IX. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, angket respons siswa dan lembar jawaban soal. Produk yang dikembangkan dinilai oleh 3 validator dan memperoleh skor validitas logis 3,64 yang masuk pada kategori valid. Hasil angket respons siswa menunjukkan nilai kepraktisan 4,415 yang berada dalam kategori praktis. Sedangkan nilai hasil pengerjaan soal oleh siswa menunjukkan soal valid secara empiris dan memiliki derajat reliabel tinggi yaitu 0,724. Sehingga, dihasilkan 4 soal literasi matematika dengan konteks etnomatematika pada pasar terapung yang valid, reliabel, dan praktis. Kata kunci: PISA, Literasi Matematika, Etnomatematika, Pasar Terapung Abstract: Indonesia's overall average PISA score is still below 400, which suggests that efforts are needed to improve students' mathematical literacy. One way to do it is by getting them used to working on contextualized mathematical literacy problems. Floating market culture as context can provide opportunities for students to construct mathematical concepts based on their real life knowledge. This study’s objective was to produce mathematical literacy questions with ethnomathematical context on floating markets that are valid, reliable and practical. This research used Tessmer model of formative research, consisting the preliminary and formative evaluation stages. The subjects of this research were 9th grade students of SMPN 14 Banjarmasin. The techniques used to collect data were validation sheets, student response questionnaires and answer sheets. The developed product was assessed by 3 validators and obtained logical validity score of 3.64, which is in the valid category. The results of the student response questionnaire show a practicality value of 4.415 which is in the practical category. While the results of students' worksheets shows that the questions are empirically valid and have a high value of reliability which is 0.724. Therefore, 4 mathematical literacy questions with ethnomathematical context on floating markets that are valid, reliable, and practical were produced. Keywords: PISA, Mathematical Literacy, Ethnomathematics, Floating Market

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze undergraduate students’ mathematical creative thinking abilities (MCTA). This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, with the research subjects being Mathematics Education Study Program students. Tests and interviews were the instruments used for mathematical creative thinking ability. The results of the research show that students' mathematical creative thinking abilities vary, as many as 20% are in the low category (CCTA < 33%), 60% are in the medium category (CCTA between 33% and 67%) and 20% are in the high category (CCTA > 67 %). Understanding mathematical concepts, learning experiences, and motivation all have an impact on students creative mathematical thinking skills. It is hoped that the results of this research can be considered when designing learning that can develop students' mathematical creative thinking abilities.  Keywords: analyze, mathematical creative thinking abilities, undergraduate students’

Abstract

A meaningful learning process for students can be done by linking mathematics with real contexts and applied with approaches that are in accordance with the characteristics of students. Ethnomathematics studies include various forms of cultural products related to mathematical concepts and activities in the form of buildings, artefacts, social activities, or in various cultural products. In this study, mathematical concepts will be studied in the form of buildings architecture, namely the Al-Jabbar mosque. This research aims to find mathematical concepts in the Al-Jabbar mosque that can be raised in the learning process in the classroom. The method used is qualitative research. Data analysis techniques with literature study, documentation, field observation, and document analysis. The results of the study are many mathematical concepts contained in the Al-Jabbar mosque and can be raised in classroom learning, namely the concept of area under a parabolic curve, parabolic curve equation, integral, geometry transformation (rotation, dilation, reflection, translation), one-dimensional geometry concepts (point, lines and angles), two-dimensional geometry (various triangles, quadrilaterals, circles), three-dimensional geometry (Hemisphere, prisms, tubes), and number patterns. Abstract

This meta-analysis study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of ethnomathematical approaches to students' mathematical creative thinking (MCT) skills in Indonesia. Twenty-two articles in the last decade were synthesised from online databases through a rigorous selection process based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis was carried out using a meta-analysis technique of a random effect size model using Cohen's g. This study showed that mathematics learning with an ethnomathematical approach significantly improved students' mathematical creative thinking skills with an effect size of 1.247, which is relatively large. This study does not have publication bias constraints, so the results are scientifically reliable. Therefore, this study suggests that schools in Indonesia integrate an ethnomathematical approach to mathematics learning to support students' MCT skills. Further research is recommended to develop a learning model with an ethnomathematical approach focusing on enhancing students' MCT skills.   Keywords: Meta-analysis, effectiveness, ethnomathematics, mathematical creative thinking

Abstract

The development of digital learning media as problem-based E-LKPD has become a significant trend in the education sector. This media utilizes information and communication technology to provide students with a more interactive, interesting and relevant learning experience. Nevertheless, it is important to determine the extent of the media's contribution to improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Therefore, this research aimed to determine the effectiveness of PBL-based E-LKPD on flat-sided geometric material to improve the ability to solve mathematical problems. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Banjar Baru. Class VIII A is the experimental class and class VIII C is the control class. Each class has 30 students. The research instrument is questions in the form of essays on flat-sided geometric material that includes problem solving skills. The effectiveness of E-LKPD is measured using the N-Gain test. Abstract

Matematika memainkan peran penting dalam kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, namun persepsi umum menyatakan bahwa matematika sulit dan kurang menarik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Elektronik (E-LKPD) interaktif berbasis STEM dengan konteks budaya Banjar pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar untuk peserta didik kelas VIII yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif menggunakan metode Research & Development dengan model ADDIE. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan instrumen berupa lembar validasi, lembar angket, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Rata-rata skor validasi produk yang dikembangkan sebesar4,40 dengan kriteria valid. (2) Rata-rata persentase respon guru sebesar 92,2% dan respon peserta didik sebesar 87,2% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. (3) Persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 100% dengan kriteria sangat efektif. Dengan demikian, E-LKPD interaktif berbasis STEM pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII dengan konteks budaya Banjar yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika.   Kata kunci: E-LKPD Interaktif, Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar, Pembelajaran Berbasis STEM, Konteks Budaya Banjar Abstract: Mathematics plays an important role in the advancement of science and technology, but the general perception is that math is difficult and less interesting. Therefore, this study aimed to develop STEM-based interactive Electronic Students Worksheets with Banjar cultural context on flat-faced three-dimensional figures for eight grade students that valid, practical, and effective criteria using the Research & Development method with the ADDIE model. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative involving validation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and learning outcomes tests. The results of the study showed: (1) The average product validation score developed was 4.40 with valid criteria. (2) The average percentage of teacher responses was 92.2% and student responses was 87.2% with very practical criteria. (3) The percentage of students' learning completeness is 100% with very effective criteria. Abstract

Pada pemecahkan masalah, mahasiswa melakukan proses berpikir sehingga mahasiswa bisa menemukan jawaban. Proses berpikir matematis dalam belajar matematika sangat penting. Salah satu yang mempengaruhi proses berpikir mahasiswa adalah gaya kognitif. Kemampuan untuk berpikir terkait erat dengan cara seseorang memproses dan mengatur informasi dalam aktivitas kognitifnya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa dengan aktivitas metakognitif pada pemecahan masalah analisis komplek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, triangulasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan proses berpikir matematis mahasiswa dalam pemecahan masalah. Mahasiswa yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan kognitif dan aktivitas metakognitif yang sama memiliki proses berpikir matematis yang berbeda yang berbeda.  Kata kunci: Proses Berpikir Matematis, Aktivitas Metakognitif, Pemecahan Masalah, Analisis Kompleks Abstract: When solving problem, students carry out a thinking process so that students can find answers. The mathematical thinking process in learning mathematics is very important. One thing that influences students’ thinking processes is cognitive style. The ability to think is closely related to the way a person processes and organizes information in his cognitive activities. This research is descriptive research which aimed to describe students’ mathematical thinking processes with metacognitive activities in solving complex analysis problems. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data triangulation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. From the results of this research it can be concluded that there are differences is students’ thinking processes in solving problems. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) efektivitas model pembelajaran missouri mathematics project pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa; 2) efektivitas model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa; 3) model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif diantara model pembelajaran missouri mathematics project dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini kuasi eksperimen yang didesain dalam bentuk pre-post test control group design, dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII DSMPN 1 Berbah. Terdapat 3 hipotesis pada penelitian ini, uji hipotesis menggunakan uji manova dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu 1) model pembelajaran missouri mathematics project efektif pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa; 2) model pembelajaran konvensional efektif pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa; 3) model pembelajaran missouri mathematics project lebih efektif daripada model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar siswa. Kata kunci: missouri mathematics project, pemecahan masalah, motivasi belajar Abstract: This study aimed to determine: 1) the effectiveness of the missouri mathematics project learning model on polyhedron material of the problem solving abilities and student learning motivation; 2) the effectiveness of the conventional learning model on polyhedron material of the problem solving abilities and student learning motivation; 3) a more effective learning model between the missouri mathematics project learning model and the conventional learning model on polyhedron material of problem solving abilities and student learning motivation. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design in the form of pre-postest control group design, carried out on class VIII A and VIII D SMPN 1 Berbah students. There are 3 hypotheses in this study, hypothesis testing using manova with a significance level of 0,05. The results of this study is 1) the missouri mathematics project learning model is effective on polyhedron material of the problem solving abilities and student learning motivation; 2) the conventional learning model is effective on polyhedron material of the problem solving abilities and student learning motivation; 3) the missouri mathematics project learning model is more effective than the conventional learning model on polyhedron material of the problem solving abilities and student learning motivation. Keywords: missouri mathematics project, problem solving, learning motivation.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis (KBKM), yang mencakup kemampuan mengevaluasi dan mengambil keputusan, merupakan komponen esensial yang berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup, yang dapat dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran Matematika. Beberapa penelitian kuantitatif telah menunjukkan bahwa Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) efektif dalam meningkatkan KBKM. Untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai efektivitas RME terhadap KBKM siswa, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki efektivitas RME terhadap KBKM siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP negeri di Tarakan dengan mengumpulkan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian dengan desain embedded-experimental mixed methods ini mengumpulkan data kuantitaif melalui tes yang melibatkan 38 siswa kelas VII, yang masing-masing terdiri dari 19 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Sementara itu, data kualitatif diperoleh melalui wawancara bersama 6 orang siswa kelompok eksperimen yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan n-gain score dan independent sample t-test menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan KBKM siswa yang signifikan setelah implementasi RME. Sejalan dengan hasil kuantitatif tersebut, analisis data kualitatif mengungkapkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan KBKM dan memberikan respon positif secara umum terhadap implementasi RME. Kata kunci: berpikir kritis matematis, mixed methods, realistic mathematics education. Abstract: Mathematical critical thinking skills (MCTS), which include the ability to evaluate and make decisions, are essential components that contribute to improving the quality of life, and the skills can be developed through mathematics education. Several quantitative studies have shown that Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is effective in enhancing MCTS. This study employed a mixed-methods approach to gain a more comprehensive understanding of RME's effectiveness on students' MCTS. This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of RME on the MCTS of seventh-grade students at a public junior high school in Tarakan by collecting both quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were gathered through tests involving 38 seventh-grade students using an embedded-experimental mixed methods design, with 19 in the experimental group and 19 in the control group. Meanwhile, qualitative data were collected through interviews with six students from the experimental group, selected using purposive sampling. Quantitative data analysis using n-gain scores and an independent sample t-test revealed a significant improvement in students' MCTS following the implementation of RME. Consistent with the quantitative findings, qualitative data analysis indicated that students experienced an improvement in MCTS and generally responded positively to the implementation of RME. Keywords: mathematical critical thinking, mixed methods, realistic mathematics education.
